I was happy to hear Harry acknowledge Lee's wit and timing when he was on on WILTY.
His involvement in Christopher Guest movies, including song writing, can't be overlooked.

Fun Fact: Mel Blanc HATED carrots, so when he had ot eat a carrot after the take he would spit it out in a bucket.

I love a lot of Rob Brydon's work. I think he can be better in this interview series by toning down his reaction shots. They are clearly not in real time and he is looking a little too engaged and sparkly for the camera. Rob please back it off a titch and let us love you in a more realistic interview situation. You are great at that.
I very much doubt they're recorded after the fact, Rob is just a naturally physically expressive person who hams it up when he's excited and engaged. Just look at his setup. He's there on his own, with just a single producer working remotely. There's no way he's recording extra takes while listening to the playback. This is very different to the studio environment for a TV panel show with producers calling for extra takes.
