Eyes that pop out of their head... Steve
Have we got a ruler Rick ?
theres always someone who gets there first
You got in before us. You’ve done us again.
And the glasses touched his eye! Do you remember that, Steve...?
Uhhh. Yes.
Amazing you got the guy from Men In Black to interview.
It could be your brother.
There’s this thing in it
What... some stupid Mancurian tosser?
No... weirder than that !
It had big eyes, it was gangley... not AS weird - it had a normal voice.
Think that was his brother.
“If the tickets are sold out Steve there sold out”. “Yeah Karl’s right about this one”.
@D Stuart but everyone would say that
HE'S DONE YOU AGAINNN
Probably sleeping again whilst the dedicated fans were already calling for tickets.
"How would you like it, they paid the money, they were up early whilst you were probably sleeping and they're at the front, getting crushed"
Steven doesn't get enough credit, hes one of the funniest and kindest gents in the business
Have you worked with him?
I think he was the major talent in writing The Office and Extras.
Gervais' solo stuff isn't anywhere near it all.
@@bigdaddy4069 This again Steve's show without Gervais-- Hello Ladies-- was nowhere near The Office either.
@@DavosJamos That's true, the 'ying' to other's 'yang'
@@bigdaddy4069 So true. Gervais is an amazing character actor, no shame and he absolutely nails and riffs on the idiosyncratic. Merchant is pure wit and intelligence.
They're alright on their own but it's magic together.
I was thinking there must be a tractor sale on somewhere.
What do I care? I don't care if its an advert for the latest piratewear
Judging by the comments Rob Brydon has tapped into the close, but mental, community of Ricky Gervais Show followers. Excellent to see you all again, good to see old school XFM day references
PLAY A RECORD KARL!
Head like a fucking orange
Do we need 'em is what I'm saying'.
Twaddle
That's just arbitrary
I heard George Michael too -- had to go back and he did indeed say Martin.
i did too and was about to go back after reading the comments to check .....
That's what brought me here!
I heard George Martin and was relieved when Steven Merchant pointed it out
Heard George Martin and was hoping he meant R.R....
Same here...
I was going to mention Rob’s absurdly large mug. But then I realized- it’s Rob Brydon. That’s probably just an ordinary teacup.
ha ha! glad someone said it
Realised*
He told the ‘We’re going to meet back at you’ story - the only way to verify that it’s actually him
@rxp56 He's in danger of turning into Gervais. Weak obversations, poorly performed
eyes that pop out their ead... Steve
Im just sayin' on the first meeting is like a museum innit? everybody rushes to the weird stuff first
Bert Camembert have you ever heard of the phrase... shut yer face?
Los Matadorès pop your trousers
Honestly I’m not aving a go Steve but you are quite odd to look at 👀
@@ferkin1874 still one of the greatest comebacks ever! haha
this makes the absence of Would I Lie To You slightly more bearable.
Victoria Corren would make an excellent zoom guest
He needs to get bob mortimer on and just let him talk for hours hahah
Victoria is so sexy. Brains are sexy
Really appreciate Rob for choosing the word "Shizzle" to reach the younger audience.
Younger as in 90's kids young 😂
fo shizzle my nizzle
Can you imagine the amazing woman that 1) had the idea to just use Stephen Merchant as a meeting point for her friends 2) Actually went up to him and convinced him 😂 brilliant
8:27 I am SO GLAD they included the distinction between George Martin and George Michael because I'd caught that and at my age I was questioning my hearing!!😂
Eyes bulging with imagined riches
No... his eye's bulge naturally
...he took to the dancefloor...
@@adamwallacefineart3407 whooosh
Oy, Lanky!
I appreciate the fact that this is the top comment.
Rob Bryden is definitely on my list of fantasy dinner party guests. He would be amazing to talk to.
the ad placement was so perfect because of how he's talking about monetising, that i couldn't take the ad seriously when it actually DID play lol
Anyone else love getting a look at what people have on their bookshelves at all these stay-at-home interviews?
Well, Rob's was clearly thought out for intent. That Elvis jumpsuit wasn't perfectly in-frame by accident. ha At least Rob's looks relatable.
Ricky Gervais with his rows of BAFTAs and Emmys (I get the joke, but...) give it a rest.
By now there are probably professional bookshelf stylists.
No, doubt it
@@VideoNozoki "Sick of it" - Karl Pilkington
Yes! The only item I could make out on Steve's shelf was the Prince book and a book on TV.
Legend has it they are both still sat there staring awkwardly.
Nice of Stephen to let you carry on with the George Michael anecdote regardless...that's what friends are for :)
Rob just HAD to throw in his Caine impression. Lol., and i must admit i came in hoping he would lol
I always enjoy seeing how Karl Dilkington's support act are now getting on. So thanks for this.
Karl who???
Who is this Dinkleton? Funny name tho
...I put it in the bin
I too heard Steven say George Michael. Now I can say I have something in common with Rob Bryson!!
Stephen Merchant - socially distancing at 6 foot 7.
Wish we could have seen the bit of weird art that would be SMerch dancing to Springsteen
Stephen did the voice to one of the best gaming characters ever in a game called Portal 2 as GLADos it's pure brilliance
Loved "Hello Ladies". It had a few more series in it so it was a real shame it stopped.
The movie was very strange
Loved it. It was nice to see what merchant brought to the table humour with his RG projects.
The limo scene is good, when he's singing
@@vc5183 why was it? Was a good episode to wrap up the series.
They made a movie cause they cancelled the show I believe. The serie didnt cater to the American HBO audience. Really too bad.
When I heard Steve's voice I thought "there must be tractor sale on"
Steve rented Rob a room😂😂😂😂What a tight arse.
The ending was perfection. All the rest of it was brilliant too, but I come from a family that loves to make people feel just a little bit awkward, and you nailed it. Living in America, it's all to easy to prank the locals as they are very sweet, trusting, decent folk who would never dream of 'taking the piss'. Love it.
Stephen Merchant is simply brilliant
Usually Zoom interviews feel like work meetings. This doesn’t. Excellent editing
That Springsteen crowd surf story 🤣
I have never seen Brydon in anything without a Michael Caine impression. This did not disappoint, and all is well.
Oh this is so hilarious..... I absolutely adore the darling Rob Brydon and Stephen Merchant is a comic genius!!!!..... great ramblings I could listen to all day!!!!
Rob Brydon is such a rascally fellow. Absolutely love these.
Stephen Merchant witty, elegant, classy, funny, sweet man. You tower among men!
"Just people that make you do a double take when you look at them - Steve Merchant"
Love Steve......Cracks me up and his accent is to die for...Go Steve your the bomb.
Rob’s house is aesthetic goals.
'Hopkins, Sheen, Brydon, Burton' - the Port Talbot Four. Good to see your new podcasts Rob.
Your M. Caine impressions is legend but you haven't done a broken voice ;-) Stay healthy and all the best from sunny Pontypool.
Rob, in my head, we’ve been friends for years. Not “best friends”, but really good friends. 👍
These fellas are just the best. I just wish I was having a brew with them down at the pub. So much fun.
Have you seen that Steve, he could be your brother.
Rob, get David Mitchell. We would all love to watch him rant about how he much he hates being dependent on technology he hates...
Get Lee Mack too plz
Bob Mortimer and Rhod Gilbert would be lovely as well
Welcome to the inter webs Uncle Rob! Looking forward to more shenanigans....sending big love from Australia xox
I read Rob's book (Small Man In A Book, rescued from a charity shop), so I know what a Springsteen fan he is. I also read Springsteen's book (Born To Run, full price from Smiths), but there was no mention of Rob. Both good books, though and both jolly nice chaps.
Of course Steve rented out the room rather than letting him stay for free 😂 such a merch move 🤣
Made me smile all the way through - thanks gents
Wondered what the dress was hanging up on the back of the door for ages, until I realised that it's an Elvis costume.
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🦋Fellow Bristolian 💕Live in Perth, WA for 24 years Love your comedic brilliance 💕💕💕💕
Two of my favourite comedians. And both them met one of The Beatles! WOW!
Two of my absolute favorite human beings. Nicely done, fellas.
Surprised Steves bookshelf doesnt have Zen And The Art Of Motorcycle Maintenance, and a bow tie
At least he's still got his cassette tape of Winston Churchill's finest quotes. Never forget son
@@highnoon7097 thats true. Its a great tape, I mean look at the gleam on that!
@Rob Brydon Just wanted to say that I've really been enjoying your interviews on CZcams. I've been to see you twice: The first time was when you did your stand-up show in Hull back in 2017. I came all the way from Leeds with my day to see you and I really enjoyed it. I met you afterwards and we had a picture together. My dad took the picture, but he was struggling to work the camera on the phone and I remember you whispering in my ear, "What do you think he's doing? Is he taking a photo or sending a text? I don't know!" I met you again two years after that when you did a show in Sheffield with Lee Mack and David Mitchell and we had another picture together. It was great to meet you and it was great seeing you having a bit of banter and chat with Lee Mack and David Mitchell on stage. You're one of my favourite comedians and I'm a huge fan of Gavin and Stacey. Uncle Bryn is my favourite character. Your impressions are really good too. I particularly enjoy your Ronnie Corbett impression, because I'm a massive fan of The Two Ronnies as I know you are too. Your Al Pacino and Michael Caine impressions are also spot-on. On the subject of impressions, I'm a massive fan of The Trip, which you appeared in with Steve Coogan. I've seen all four series and I have the first three series on DVD. I also have the boxset of Marion and Geoff, which I'm also a huge fan of, the boxset of Gavin and Stacey, the stand-up DVD that you did as Keith Barrett back in 2005 and the one you did as yourself in 2009. I'm also a huge fan of Would I Lie To You as well. I was going to come and see you on tour this year too, but unfortunately because of the pandemic, that didn't happen. I hope that everything is sorted by 2021 so I can come and see you perform again. Until then, I'll finish off this comment by saying you're a very funny comedian, a great actor, a brilliant impressionist and you can sing pretty well too. You're also very good with the audience.
Ooo so glad I randomly found this. Love them both!
Looking forward to watching this later 👍
Wow, Rob. I was at the same Wham! gig in Swansea with some mates. Good fun! Greetings from a ex-Tenby lad :)
this was lovely, thanks! looking forward to the next one :)
I love these. Hope you keep making them
I just found your channel Rob, and I am very happy about it!!!
Love these! Thank you!
I love that he basically did an intimate version of dirty dancing at a Springsteen concert
This was a lot of fun! Looking forward to more :)
You were fantastic in Perth ! can wait for this.
This is great! Thanks so much.
Great fun, thanks Rob, & Stephen! look forward to plenty more
It’s interesting to get here before Rob’s channel explodes with subscriptions and commenters. I’ve always been such a huge fan of Rob’s work, he sets the standards that everybody else has to follow. 🥰
Well well, look who's getting down with the kids on CZcams. Mr Brydon you are off to a great start here and you have yourself a new subscriber. And as an aside, may I just complement you on your excellent video and audio setup - nice and sharp, good color and lighting, no scratchy problems with the lav mic. Pretty impressive for a CZcams noob :)
He charged you rent?! He starred in Men In Black 2 for god sake! He's doing alright.
Loved it. Love you both. Thank you for doing this.
You do a great job editing these! I'm hooked on the feel good quality of it. And of course you are quite funny. Cheers!
Brilliant idea Rob. Love it

Absolutely brilliant! Had to stifle the giggles while my baby slept. So funny! 👍🏻
Love these 2! Such funny and talented guys.
This is lovely, Rob!
So nice just watching and listening to the casual chat.
Ah, yes! Just what I needed sitting here in the middle of the U.S. I needed Rob Brydon! I sincerely wish I had been with Stephen and you on the open-houses in LA.
Thank you for this, Rob. You wonderful man, you.

Also, yeah, the other stuff you've done. That's aright too.
Shizzle though....
Nice bit of product placement for Mr Sheen, Rob! It does keep umpteen things clean.
Great discussion, thank you to both Rob and Steve. I'm looking forward to more of these discussions.
Such a nice and relaxed interview. Thank you for sharing. I’ve done the following now: “Liked, Subscribed and Commented”. Not sure I’ve missed anything else now. 😜

High expectations for conversations with you and anyone, from here on, and into eternity. Love your sizzle 🍾Elvis is excited, he gave you a Pez! 🏆 Mr. Merchant is definitely a favorite, and a leggy blond.
