Morgana Robinson is such a great talent and amazing beauty.
"Streamed, you download it, you burn it to DVD, and you pirate it." đ
I do like Tom. I saw him live in Brisbane, Australia with my eldest Son. We both discovered him on youtube with the "IT'S A JOKE YOU CUNTS" clip.
Agents?! Don't get me fkng started. Try doing (unpaid) auditions when you're a 3/4/5 piece band and have to load in, and set up a van load of gear!!!
Nice hair Brydon
Refreshing to hear a non-native English speaker who doesn't automatically go for the posh accent
I love her description of "tabs in the head". And how it feels to be bored. I once tried to have only 5 tabs open instead of 50. I thought it would improve my life. Instead, I felt like I was moving through sludge.
stewart lee didn't write blackadder?
Brilliant,Kind,Talented Gentle Man. Not only a great Actor but brilliant Song Writer & Musician! Thank Goodness His work is finally getting to Australia đŠ
Great Actor đđŒđđŒđđŒ
Nice guy.
Ooh thank you Rob for getting Claes on, love his Dracula and The Outlaws â€
When I was doing an art project for my GCSEâs based on the poem âthe spider and the flyâ by Mary Howitt, Claes Bang was my inspiration for a character design for the spider. He is so good at becoming a manipulative and all consuming character. If anyone ever makes a film or TV adaptation of that poem Claes should play the spider. Props to me for amazing casting
My favorite Dane is Victor Borge but Claes Bang is a delight. ....and such a great name.
Is Rob entering a Richard Hammond lookalike competition with that goatee?
American here...I only first saw Claes on "Bad Sisters". My how despicable he was. Wonderful show and I love PJ Harvey's cover of "Who By Fire" and the opening sequence was beautiful. Loved everyone in it.
Really his danish how did he start talking like an English bloke .Also shame he never got to play Dracula again thought he was good in the tv show also feel Steven Moffat mucked up the ending.
Wait.. wtf! I thought that was Joe Calzage
What a great interview! What a truly lovely and talented man. I enjoyed this interview from beginning to end.
Stewart we really do see through it all. Write anything we can watch.
Claes, my husband would have pulled one over on you! IÂŽm Danish, heÂŽs Portuguese but we met in Denmark and moved to Portugal later. He works in the airline industry. His favorite gag is this: Upon landing, heÂŽs one of those that hand papers to the pilots, so if the pilot is Danish, he says "Welcome to Lisbon (or wherever)! " in near perfect Danish. The pilot usually exclaims "Oh thanks! You speak Danish!?" and he replies, deadpan, "Oh we all speak Danish here." He loves the momentary confusion and then laughter.
A great episode, really enjoyed this!
What an absolute joy. Thank you Rob
czcams.com/video/wqVB2x3IATo/video.html&ab_channel=richbuskin - Guy Michelmore on BBC local news London and South East news
Claes is not quite right about his films in Denmark, him allways being cast as the lovely guy next door. We have a danish version of Bridget Jones, "Nynne" and he played the sleazy boyfriend to the leading female character who he leaves for a younger model. Mads Mikkelsen also often plays sinister roles internationally but in Denmark he often plays an unattractive lead in comedy.
Yet another person here who came to say how convincing his English accent is. If I hadn't known that he was Danish and didn't know his name or history, I would have guessed that he was British, even though "all over the chip shop" raised an eyebrow. I can't see anything on his Wikipedia page to suggest why his accent is so good, but either he has spent a huge amount of time with British speakers or he is preternaturally good at language learning.
Heâs a thespian!
Weird elbows.
Never heard the shop specified as the chip variety before.
Great actor and for a native Danish actor his English accent is extraordinary. He sounds like me from west London - almost BBC Radio 4 voice. Great interview as ever thanks Rob.
That was an incredible interview. That description of ADHD has really hit home to me, I really should get checked. The section about handling her dad's death was also eerily close to home. Thank you so much for this.
Claes is so FIT!
Behave!
Rob Brydon is embarrassing, ridiculous, disrespectful, and downright stupid. Luke Thompson, bravo for navigating this awkward exchange, with respect, humour, and humility.
Mr Bang came to my attention in "Dracula", but this was a different kind of wild - I would love to know where Claes chose his English voice/mannerisms from. His is the bloke in the queue at Lidl or sitting beside you at the football. Lovely chap - mange tak, Claes!
I know he is not from U.K. but he would have been an amazing Bond.
Excellent interview
Would love to see him interview a real politician đ
Brilliant, loved hearing the real person behind Jonathan Pie đ
Claes needs to go on QI to get some first language Danish love.
Rob Brydon, wanna collab keep it up dude
'wanna collab' - lol
You like some podcaster are something
As a countryman of Claes, I'm very proud of how far he has made it. Good interview, Rob!
Rob Brydon, This is sick!
don't know who Claes Bang is, just watching in case Rob does his Mick Jagger impression
He's undead, not unreasonable.
Heâs the investigator in the last Vermeer that investigates Han van meegeren
What a lovely guy! Delighted for his success.
The Jimmy Stewart poem: he read it on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson and it was a poem about his dog Blue. Very moving poem.
Hi fellow Aussieâ€
It's strange to see Stew suggesting he can't do impressions when he continues to manage such an eerie approximation of Tucker Jenkins from Grange Hill. Who has let himself go.
She'd had all her organs removed đ đ
All my life I thought this dude was Andy garcias son & im just now realizing he is not đ theyâre only 18yrs apart
Great interview - with two of the best...Thank you..â€â€â€
Two of the best humans Iâve never met nor will I ever meet, but I just know they are top tier đđđ Fabulous wee catch up to listen to & watch - big ole love from Australia đŠđș
