  • I bought the Winmau Sight Right 2 from Red Dragon for £19.99.
I wanted to see if my alignment to the board was as good as it could be, and after looking at a couple of different options, I felt that the purpose of the sight right was to achieve what I wanted.
I have used it regularly since buying it, and get definitely see the benefits of it with my scoring. My only concern is that it has altered my pre-throw routine by checking it before each turn of 3 darts. This may throw me off a bit when playing a match without it.... I will let you know if it does!
I am about to launch a number of both digital and in person coaching packages - please get in contact if you would like more information.

Great video again. Great to see you back and in a fancy new darts room. I had one of these for a while and found it helped with my positioning. Once I learn where my correct position was I found I didn’t need it anymore. It’s good for beginners or people who find they could be a little straighter. 🎯👍🏽

One thing I would mention. Make sure that your sight aid is square (parallel) with the board surface. After you plumb down from the bull to find center, plumb down from double 11 and double 6, measure to the back of the device, if it is equal on both sides, you are centered and square. If your sight right is cock-eyed it will make a difference at the oche.

Nice indoor setup. Upgraded from the cold garage 👍 I bought one of these over a year ago and within that year I’d ended up completely changing my oche position. I dug it back out a few weeks ago and corrected my line so i’m back over to the left of the oche to complete the centre line. I’ve been more consistent since doing this.

Oh I wish Neil. Its a friend of mines converted garage. He let's me use it. Wish it was mine! I see the value in the product but as you say, once its served its purpose and you've learnt your alignment it becomes somewhat redundant, but as long as it does its job when needed that's all that matters! 👍🎯

Great video but surely this doesn't actually help and is just another way for the dart companies to make money, as ive played against so many who throw from the very edge of the oche and their darts still go where they want them

I'm sorry if I am missing something here as many others seem enthusiastic about the product. Is this any different than drawing marks on the ground under the same three positions?

You definitely could do a DIY version. You would need to do a 2 tiered line, as lining that up straight instead of seeing a fractured line ensures your positioned centrally. I think it's a nice looking bit of kit, and will be using it in coaching, but for someone who just wants one for playing at home, there's definitely value in just making a DIY version 👍🎯

    Thanks for your videos.
Please sort out a decent mic so your sound is clear and direct.

Had a lapel mic on its first outing here, only to find out during the edit that it cut out half way, leaving with me with only the awful in built mic audio 😩 I'm working on it!

Really interesting to see that you're venturing into coaching soon. Am I right in saying your in the South West? If so I'd love to be a customer at some point if and when you get coaching started!

Sounds good to me! I'm based near Exeter. I'm going to travel to people within a reasonable range, but also looking to open a small office / practice room near me for people to come to. Will also have a small number of online packages for those further afield

@@DartsClass Brilliant, I'm not too far away from Exeter so could probably come to you once you get started. Looking forward to the coaching!

    What’s your match darts mate?
Would that device change where you stand on Oche? Where do you usually stand, left right or centre?

That plum line is about as straight as George Michael. Just use a tape measure from the wall to the bullseye, that measurement will be the at the oche, simple and alot more accurate than a wobbly plumline.

Honestly, this is not a very good buy. First off, this is a one time use device, once you know where you are suposed to be, you don't need it anymore, plus you can't really carry this around to league or tournaments. I once build one with about 79p of scrap wood I had lying around the house, 3 screws and a Sharpie. I placed it, realized that I did not like being dead center, removed it and returned to my natural oche position. The deviced has since been returned to the scrap wood pile where it will remain until consumed by a bonfire.

You know, I get what you mean. It does its job to align you, but that isn't necessarily what everyone needs for their particular throw.
Personally I have always tried to line up as centrally as possible, so I found for me that it was a really good affirmation tool. But as you say, I've not played competitively since having used it, so it will be interesting to see if I now miss it when playing!

Video okay. Audio potato quality, I see you have a lapel on so not sure what happened there. I watched the whole video but I have no idea what it's doing? I saw you put the fishing line in and then put the thing on the floor. Couldn't see the board or the line so I have no idea what the thing on the floor was doing when you were throwing. Might have to watch the video a few more times or just google it.

Yeah lapel mic failed so had to use built in mic audio which is shit. And like a fool, I left portrait mode on with background blur. Admittedly not my best 🤷

i like your videos but the audio on this one was pretty bad and the board was washed out in the light so we couldnt see your darts

cant hear a word your saying, you need a new microphone, and throwing the darts into a bright glow, cant see what you are hitting, you could be hitting 26 for all i know
