Bro, avoid steel casings.
Always carry a cleaning kit with you so you can use the cleaning rod to get out stuck casings in the chamber.👍👍👍👍👍👍
Get a knife and pick it out, that what I do with .22 all the time
Always keep a cleaning rod with your range gear you never know when you will need it
👍
Next time you use steel cased ammo bring a cleaning rod with you. As long as you don’t have a case separation in the chamber a cleaning rod should knock the empty casing right out.
Thanks 💯
When it comes to the steel case should not matter. If he would have bought a barrel in 223 wild. Then it is chambered for 223 and 556. As retarded as it sounds you're not supposed to shoot A556 out of A223 barrel But you can do it vice versa that's why the 223 wild is the best of both worlds.
I've always used a welding rod with the Flux busted off of it. Less flex.
@@AyoItsMike the tool that comes with paint buckets works well to pull stuck casings out. It's got a hook on the end to open the buckets. Using a cleaning rod requires you to put your hand in front of the barrel and if you had a light strike and your round got jammed, big no go for me.
Wouldn’t a small magnet work as well?
One thing i noticed you doing a little different is, you duck your head to match the height of your pistol. Instead, try raising your firearm to your eye level so you dont have to offset your head and eye sight too much. Helped me out when i made that change! Keep going brother! You’re on the way up
Great advise 👍🏻
Thank you for that! I’ll work on that tomorrow at the range!
You know what I like about you, right off the bat, you're open to criticism. You clearly want to learn and get better and this will be inspiring to new gun owners. Helps people feel like they're not alone in taking on a new skill. So many gun channels on YT are full of "experts" with big egos and all that does is make people too intimidated to ask questions and inevitably make mistakes. Keep it up man, I'm a few years in myself and I learned a lot from people at the range. I'll sub to your channels 🤙
Keep those firearms pointed downrange all the time. Mount your targets so that you're not always shooting downward. Keep creating content!
yeah this
You want to be shooting downward
yeah i came here for this too.. stop flagging the parking lot
@@mdexcavating7692 it's useless to say anything anymore, the ego on people these days wont allow themselves to get educated rly on anything these days, not just gun control. That's why our country is being ran by criminal, tyrants, liars, pedo's, and literally brain dead people appointed to very important aspects of our country, and they are only appointed bc they will not question whoever is making decisions for the biden administration, (it's not Biden) so they are just basically placeholders bc the tyrants know they will listen to them no matter what, and normally these people are of the LGBTQ community, (bc bidens administration thinks they are literally the dumbest people in the country IQ wise so no need to worry about them being smart enough to understand politics/moral issues enough to ever see what's rly going on and question it) or has been a democrat working directly for them already.
That’s something I’ve been practicing lately. I have my own gravel pit setup as a range and can point any direction I please, so it’s a lifetime of bad habits to get rid of so I can remain safe if I ever go to a public range.
The ol’ “it jammed 🤷🏽♂️ so I guess I can’t waste all my ammo after all”
Classic excuse. Well played sir
Be careful about flagging the carpark like that. Someone might get mighty upset if they pull in and you waving around not facing down range.
I would have definitely paid more attention and been more aware of where my muzzle was pointed if I wasn’t at the range alone. I should always practice basic firearm safety though & in this particular video I did not do the best job. Moving forward I will improve! Thank you! Subscribe⚡️
@@AyoItsMike Always. Well, since you put it like that. I had better subscribe.
@@AyoItsMike At least you can humbly take criticism. I have to agree with the guy who mentioned the muzzle discipline. I'd be pissed if I saw that. Then I'd leave. Gun safety is very important. Keep at it man.
Be especially careful to keep your barrel pointed down range when you have a malfunction. Really, at ALL times.
Most ranges require weapons to be cleared, mag out, bolt locked back and / or chamber flag inserted when set down.
Keeping safety discipline even when alone on a range builds good habits. Some safety measures seem redundant, but are that way intentionally.
A paint can opener is what's used to extract stuck casings. Keep one in your bag. You need to put just a little oil In the chamber and then run about 150 rounds of steel case in that 100 you will get a few jams but once the steel case wears the chamber it will run flawless. You will always have problems with steel case ammo in a new AR but you need to push through that break in period or you will never be able to run steel case ammo. All my ARs done like yours until the break in to steel case ammo was done then they run like a far boy towards cake.
⚡⚡⚡
I appreciate that bro! & thanks for watching the whole video 🙏🏽⚡️
Run a few hundred brass first then steel should run fine without the jams of steel to brake it in
I used that paint can opener and it didn't work well at all. Get a set of those orange handled picks. Comes in a pack of four. Use the one with 2 angles on it. Worked better then the paint can opener.
Break in should be done with tacky red grease.
@@thisissparta8884 literally have never had a problem with the paint can opener if it won't get it then it's cleaning rod. Who is carrying multiple orange handle picks around?
Anyone who says any OEM mag is trash is crazy. If you're running a 33 OEM in a 26, make sure you're not transferring to much pressure on the mag itself. That's what causes jams. Good to see you Mike, y'all stay safe and keep shooting 🤙💪
💯 Appreciate it bro!
What do you mean transferring?..
That’s common sense
@@Virtuesubsribetome not supporting the mag. Just like a drum on a 26. Thats alot of weight on a mag catch
@@jaredbrinegar8121 lmao that’s not what he means, he’s taking about your pinky squeezing the mag and making it tilt the angle of the mag and possibly jam
I have a 7.62x39 AR pistol and I only shoot steel cased ammo and never have an issue but it didn't happen overnight . Keep up the content and remember things can be made to run better jam less or in this case run steel .I had a baral that did this often I sent it back had them re hone the chamber and double check the head space . They sed the tooling may have gotten worn out of speck when the barely was made causing it to pass a head space but jam steel or bras now it is a full time runner
one person i watched actually carries a paint can opener tool that he uses to dislodge the jamed casing with, it is long enough that with the bolt pulled back, you can reach in and lightly tug the casing out using the casing's rim.
I had the same thing happen to me with steel casing it happens especially when its hot outside and the steel expands inside the barrel and becomes stuck, but a gun cleaning kit will save your life when it happens
Keep a paint can opener in your kit. It's small, cheap, and is the perfect claw shape to reach in through the ejection port and pull out stuck brass.
Or similar objects should always be accessible.
Yep this works great and they’re less than $1 if you don’t have one already.
I had problems with my ar build, had to go with an adjustable gas block, heavier buffer to run steel or brass or mixed and it runs really good
NO JAMS
That short of a barrel an adjustable gas block wouldn’t regulate enough pressure due to dwell times. On the other hand the Buffer weight and spring will be a solid solution
I have a 5 inch barrel with a buffertube, it shoots but doesnt load the next round. What do you think?
@@Voojina try a lighter weight spring along with H1 weight buffer
This is only the second video I have seen on the channel. The first I enjoyed and the second right of the bat I’m liking your personality and just genuine content. I subbed and turned on the bell. Great work
Thank you so much! ⚡️🙏🏽 I really appreciate the love & support!
Just donated. Definitely got to support 💯 love the vids bro keep it up🤝🏾💯
Much love bro! 🙏🏽⚡️I just got that ! You real for that 💯
To clear the chamber i use a cleanning rod thru the barrel and it always comes out with a tap
I love this range looks so peaceful
I had the same issue with steel ammo after leaving the gun and ammo in the sun for about 45 minutes. It seemed like if the ammo was hot before being loaded it would get stuck but everytime after that I kept it out of the sun and in the shade it ran fine.
I've been doing lots of research surrounding guns and someone said drums are meant to be used on semi or full auto but not bursts like using a binary. Just some friendly advice in case you never heard it. Jam may not have been from cheap ammo or only cheap ammo. Peace and blessings
this is exactly why we go to the range to make sure everything works hahaha but real talk if you wanna shoot cheap ammo I recommend getting an ak47 or my personal favorite is the cmmg .22lr conversion kit for ar15/pistol it lets you use the same ar but way cheaper ammo lol without having to have a dedicated 22
Exactly 😂💯 I’m thinking about getting the .22lr conversion! 👀
Yesaa it’s been a blessing $60 for 500rds sheeeeshhhh can’t beat it also best ammo prices Ive seen is freedommunitions and lax ammo sometimes palmetto state if you catch a good daily deal often times 200rd and 10 mags for $199 not to bad for 9mm and 223 that is I havnt ordered any 22 but you can probably find it dirty cheap
On those ATI AR 15 pistols you might need a heavier buffer weight like an H2 buffer weight or heavier to cycle properly. IMO.
Aye mike I’m down for ur vids man keep up Dawg ima subscriber already ❤
First time seeing your channel so I subbed to support you. And I agree with the other comments. Always good to keep a cleaning rod on your range bag
I appreciate you for subscribing bro! ⚡️
@@AyoItsMike 2A all day!
Some cheap ammo is ok,it's more about what you shoot it out of.....the steel case ammo with lacquer is designed for certain chambers. in some cases like my cetme bare brass does fire well because it's designed for the lubricated steel case.
Try zinc (flat silver) cases if you can find them anymore for cheap AR ammo. That stuff feeds well in some AR
Thanks for all the information!
Failure to extract is a common problem with steel case ammo and new AR-15s. Steel and brass cases expand differently to seal the chamber. Steel lets more gas into the chamber, which can cause fouling and sticking of the cartridge. Did you lube your AR before using it? There are some other things that can cause failure to extract, like a weak extractor spring or an over gassed gun. But I would start with giving the gun a good lube job and go from there.
Cool channel man! New subscriber. Keep on shooting! 👍
I did not oil up my ar at all before I shot it. I just did though! 😂Thank you for the information, i really appreciate the help and support! ⚡️
@@AyoItsMike No problem my friend. All of us gun owners had to learn these things at some point. I'm glad to help if I can. Another thing I was thinking is what weight buffer you're using. Sometimes those shorter barreled ARs cycle better with an H2 or even an H3 buffer. Something to think about anyway. Some of these things are about trial and error. So just keep plugging away until you get it right. You'll get there.
@@HarborSite-7 your a real one for this
A buddy told me that sometimes if the gun isn't broken in good it could jam with steel ammo, but when he broke it in it cycled the ammo.
AyoltsMike , enjoyed watching test the weapons out . Question where did you get the brass catcher bag from ? Also Mike always carry a back up weapon or 2 ... in real life . Enjoy your channel .
going out on a limb here but maybe the gun shop!! lol
If u do another build and it’s smaller then a 10in barrel I’d said go with 300 blk out u get way more outta it with a shorter barrel then a 556 imo I got a 7.5in 556 and kinda regret it after watchin videos and shit on how much velocity it loses with that small of a barrel
Edit: nice build tho bro but this why I’m a ak guy lol I shoot nun but steel case ARs suck with steel case
yea man 5.56s below 10 inch barrels are quite ineffective
Great video big dawg, great to see some content from someone who is actively learning and looking to better themselves. Your shooting stance is looking good, you control your guns very well. Dropped ya a sub and a like, stay safe and keep putting out that good content, brotherman 🤙
I really appreciate that brotha! ⚡️I definitely will!
the 17 build I would check the extractor. it could be that you're screw for the rmr plate are to long. I had a similar issue on my first p80.
Second throw a cleaning rod in the range bag will help with stuck cases and a squib. great video👍👍
Keep gun pointed in a safe direction. (NOT uprange) hang your steel as they are much safer hung, get a proper zero on your optics, use muffs for carbines. A properly made and maintained AR can run steel. Excessive chamber pressures during bolt unlock will cause steel cases to swell and jam in the barrel extension. Go to a heavier buffer, I am a fan of the Super 42.
Good thing about the Sig red dot, if its the Romeo 5, is that you can leave it on. It shuts off when there's no movement after a few minutes. Then turns on as soon as you pick it up. Great video bro!
I appreciate it bro! ⚡️
yee bro shake to wake
I learned my lesson with them Ars keep a rod on u 😅

Facts...first time watching and I'm feeling the vibes and content 👊🏿
Gun professional is stretching it a bit.
Never had any problems with steel w/9mm, 223 or 556, runs dirtier but still good for the range. Just go with 30rd mags on the rifle/pistol
This is the second time steel got stuck in my barrel so i’m pretty sure it’s the ammo. My mag has never jammed
@@AyoItsMike Plenty of others use steel case with no issues, including myself. Lessons learned though, some guns prefer different types. No worries, we're all learning just the same.
First time watchin and I’m loving your content❤️
I appreciate that man 💯 Much more content to come! Subscribe ⚡️
love the edits what are you using to do the editing
This was my first time watching your videos. It's nice to see the new generation exercise your 2a rights! Keep it up stay safe and I'll be watching to see you grow as a shooter. One more thing you can practice draw point and shoot empty and practice drawing from the holster and position you'll be carrying.
I appreciate it! I’ll practice drawing soon when I get a new holster⚡️
I know you've said it before that its the steel casing but it could be a mix of the drum and the steel. Either way, diggin the build man. 7.5 in 5.56 aint my cuppa tea but if you like it thats all that matters. One tip I would say with drawing out your pistol is bring the sight picture up to your eyes instead of bringing your head down to the gun, it'll help keep from straining your neck and makes for a more comfortable shoot. Keep it up tho bro!
For a stuck case like that I saw someone point out the cleaning rod as long as it's not case head separation or go get a paint can opener from lowes it will grab the rim on the case perfectly and pull it
🔥🔥🔥✊🏾💪🏾💯👉🏾💥💥💥💥
On that 17 check your extractor and extractor plunger spring and your bearing , could be the wrong one in it, non lci vs lci.. I would start there ... each build I've done no jams flawless from the gate except the g20 but she good 2 go now... keep dropping gems bro...
Tec Money Salute 🤙💪🔥💥💯 wassup my dog!
I was just telling Mike if he's got any problems with his builds I can definitely help him get em straight. The builds I host on KnightCustomBuilds don't jam! Ever! Flat run and gun! Tec Money gtsy everywhere in the community! I be getting around myself lol
@@knightcustombuilds6988 salute bro... yeah I get around 🤣🤣

I’ll do better in the future. thanks! subscribe ⚡️
Bro always keeps a positive attitude no matter what💯that .17 gone be running as smoothly as the .26 when it’s broken in
Yessir! 💯 It definitely will⚡️
The new camera angle looks pretty good, I would suggest to make it a little closer and be able to see more of the range would be nice
I gotchu
i have only had 1 steel case get stuck in my entire shooting life, and have had many brass cases stuck. you need a cleaning rod to put down the barell and bang the stuck case out. make sure its been fired.

This is happened to me a few times with my AR not to fear JoJo is here to help you need a paint can opener with you at all times when you go to the range Sherwin-Williams sells them for $2.50 it'll save you a lot of money so you won't have to go to a gunsmith 🎥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Might need some more weight added to that 17 slide (red dot) to help slow down the cycling since there’s a ton of slide cuts.
Keep shooting and keep putting together guns the gubment can’t track 🤘
if you you get the BCM Extractor spring upgrade kit you will be able to shoot steel on your ARs i had that happen in one of my ARs and i got that uprgrade kit never has happened since its only 5 bucks
Appreciate that ⚡️ i may check it out

on the g17 yu might need to clear more space where the recoil spring sits or jus upgrade it. i recommend the heavy or competition spring Glockstore offers

Yeah man I'd like to see you build a palmetto state armory AR or AR pistol build it should be cheaper than that build but nice video your channel been growing so have u as a shooter 🤧📈🤙🏾💥
I'm guessing that pistol build has light hammer spring. Especially with that binary trigger. Steel case ammo known to be prone to light primer strike.
Bout to be fire 🔥

Aye my guy. I love your enthusiasm. Do me a big favor. Get a sling for that ar first and foremost. Try blue force gear. Also get a good pre built belt gcode holsters and wilder tactical make awesome pre built belts.
Gave you a follow.

@@AyoItsMike defenitly my guy. Keep shooting. Also I'd say get in some classes. It's always a ton of fun and a great learning experience. And good instructors will let you film your class for content whi h would be awesome to see your experience and hear your take aways from it
You have to clean your chamber when use steel case steel leaves a residue that gets casing stuck just keep a barrel rod and hammer in your range bag
Just went and bought a barrel trod the other day! I didn’t know this, thank you! ⚡️
Try to make a g27 p80 build
That’s a possibility..
Is that an ATI Omni Maxx? It has a proprietary trigger, and they are not too fond of steel cased ammo. Hope you got it figured out!
If its a standard AR platform you can just pop out the 2 breakdown pins and then get the round out. Though Im not sure if its just a squib round or if its a stuck case. Either way a stuck case can be popped out with somenthing that has a thin edge, but be carefull because its still under pressure and has a chance of still firing. If its just a round, idk maybe just like push it out

thats happened to me with Tulammo before, but wolf, golden tiger, and brown bear have never jammed on me. I would suggest taking a cleaning rod and mallet to the range with you if you're rocking steel.
only using brass for now on 😂💯
Still keep a tool handy, especially if you have any kit and you need to have a real life defense situation or the opposite of defense if ya catch my drift.

Steel case ammo is fine, but it is less forgiving of dirty chambers. No matter how much you're cleaning your barrel, if you are not using a chamber cleaning brush this will eventually happen. Also, stick a cleaning rod in your range bag to deal with this. And finally, short barrel ARs need better hearing protection. You'll pay for it later if you don't take care of your hearing now. Double up, plugs and cans, if you are shooting a short AR.
I really appreciate all the information and advice! I definitely will invest in better ear protection because that thing is loud 😂 Thank you! subscribe ⚡️

for that Glock 17 with the failure to eject swap out the gen 3 ejector for the gen 4 ejector the part number is 30274 I was having the same issue with stove piping this will fix it for sure you don't need the whole housing just the metal ejector in the housing I have the same setup on a p80 Glock 19 but that gen 3 ejector is worthless it will throw shells back at u on top of always stove piping (failure to eject)

@@AyoItsMike a bro it's a person impersonating u tryna scam people look thru these comments n u will see jus thought u should know
Wow. That's wild I never heard of having issues that frequent with the glock ejector except for the first wave of gen 5 models. My first glock was a glock 17 gen 3 but it was made in like 2017. I never had Issues with my gen 3 but I had one failure on my gen 4 but that was also during the first 500 rounds. The crazy thing is, Ive had a sig to fail on me as well but my ruger security 9 has never had an issue. That ruger is the only one I kept.
It makes sense you have a case catcher if you are gonna roll 300 blackout. But you can only convert brass.
Your AR may need and H2 or H3 buffer because it seems over gassed AF. The last pistol you shooting needs a stronger recoil spring and replace the Ejector claw.
where u get the round catching bag does magpul carry one?
Where u get the drum for it I just bought one
