Abolish NFA and ATF should be a convienent store.
Abolish gravity. You hear how dumb that sounds? 😂
@@davelpz3340Boot licker 😊
@@davelpz3340yeah because it has nothing to do what what he said lol
it would be but there are stoidi with 🔫 everywhere 🐦🧠
That's stupid I want the ATF to be there but they shouldn't have as much power as they do now the ATF is objectively good I don't want a bunch of random people running around with a bunch of random guns
Since you mentioned it, I got my suppressor tax stamp back in 43 hours, this month.
A person may add a vertical fore grip to a firearm with an overall length of 26 or more inches without creating an AOW.
I was going to rob the bank but glock switches are illegal.. What should I do..ridiculous
You missed some very important parts here.. an sbr is a downgrade in every single way from a pistol. In a lot of states Sbr’s are just plain illegal, you can’t travel with them, can’t carry them, can’t put them in a vehicle, etc.. but a pistol none of that applies and are free to basically do whatever.
They aren't illegal. You have to have a stamp.
@@GunsNGames248 they are definitely illegal in a lot of places still. There is no difference in the eye of the law between a machine gun and an sbr, you can probably guess which states still have them banned without even looking it up. There are no benefits in building an sbr vs a pistol.
I can tell you one thing for sure aside from the restrictions like having to ask permission to take them across state lines etc (which is super easy to if you are familiar with the atf forms system) after you build your first SBR it’s no going back!! Not only do they look 10x more badass but they feel super comfortable to the point where it feels awkward going to back to normal “16+ rifles. As far as accuracy goes anything I am able hit with my 16,18inch rifles I can do just as good or even better with my 10.3-10.5 SBR’s.
Great video, had to sub when I heard you're here in Az!
Thanks for the sub!
Rifles used to be 18", but the most popular 22lr rifle was 16", so the ATF changed rifles to 16".
You’re doing a good job bro. Keep it up!
Appreciate it!
Very good information.
Another Great Video 💯 Thank you 💥💥💥💥💥💥💥
Glad you enjoyed it!
One disadvantage to an SBR is you have to have pre-approval from the ATF to take the gun out of state, whereas a pistol with a brace is treated just like your sidearm as far as the law is concerned.
One disadvantage (for me) of a pistol with a brace is that in my state, if you carry a pistol, it must be in either a shoulder holster or in a hip holster. This means the pistol would have to be kept in a backpack or something. An SBR though, can be carried openly with no worries, as long as you are not carrying it in a "threatening manor"
I don’t mind having both sbrs and pistols so I have options. Arizona is pretty relaxed on carry laws which is nice
I like a full stock so i usually go with SBR. It takes a very short amount of time for approval these days.
Here's a question I cannot seem to get answer for. Can I legally install a scope or magnifier to an AR pistol? I heard part of the pistol brace rule the ATF attempted to make also mentioned scopes and other optics with limited eye relief classifying as an SBR but I haven't heard if that was thrown out with the brace ban or not.
Yes, you can have any optic you want on an AR pistol
If I’m not mistaken, it is illegal to transport SBRs across state lines without permission from the ATF whether SBRs are legal in that state or not.
In the flip side. I’m pretty sure AR pistols are regulated the same as handguns when going from state to state. State and local laws will determine if they are legal or not.
Can I put a pistol stock on a registered SBR so I can travel to a neighboring state without having to ask for permission?
…asking for a friend!!
@@imriggedup1888 😂😂😂I’m pretty sure it doesn’t work like that.
@@imriggedup1888no sir that is illegal you have to ask permission. The problem lies in the serial number.
@@imriggedup1888😂😂😂😅😅😅. We have the same friend
In my state you can have a loaded pistol in your car but not a loaded rifle.
can you switch out your rifle upper and put a pistol upper with a brace on a rifle lower ?
If you bought the rifle as a rifle you cannot covert it to a pistol. If you bought an AR pistol and converted to a rifle, you can switch it back to its original form as an AR pistol
So if you buy the 10.5" complete upper "pistol" kit from PSA, how would it be an SBR?
If you go the SBR route I would do it on a higher end lower like a bcm
@@mudgunner I'm not wanting to pay the tax stamp for an sbr, just have a pistol.
Then you would just put a brace on the lower, not a stock
@@mudgunner So odd. Appreciate the help.
how do you "notify" the ATF if you want to change calibers on your SBR? what makes it official, are they going to send me some paperwork that i need to keep a copy of? How exactly does this work?
You have to send them a physical letter saying you’re changing the caliber/oal etc
@@civicsr2cool but how does it become official, like do they send me a different stamp ? (a paper with the updated caliber) , in a court of law, I can say I sent them a letter but what evidence would i have? I could send it certified letter , but even that wouldn't be sufficient.
It’s all a joke
How about just shutting the hell up and doing what you want?
@@chickennuggets2929 it should be OK as long as the caliber change isn't permanent.
I keep every pistols but once I got into suppressors, they already have me on a watch list, so I went ahead and taxed stamped all my firearms to SBR's.
The rules on braces and stocks and suppressors are really senseless considering that most crime is done with handguns.
Agreed
Soo, can one get an AOW tax stamp for a vertical foregrip on an AR pistol?
Yes you could
Doesn’t it make it illegal if you’re shooting with a pistol AR and place the brace to your shoulder?
No
It used to. the ATF put out several different opinion letters over the course or several years that flip flopped on that but it ended up landing on the decision that they cant tell you how to hold it.
What you meant to say is the vertical grip cannot be 90° but that's all right not everybody knows the NFA laws
2 days for a form 1 - April 2024
That’s awesome!
Your comments have been turned off on your latest vids. Why?
Because CZcams is censoring it for no reason. I keep turning the comments back on but they turn it off again shortly after. Thank you for watching the videos!
@mudgunner I seen the same thing on some other content creators vids as well. Well I will just have to use this TTP to give feedback on your work.
You can have a vertical grip on a pistol if you meet the overall length requirement. For example my AR pistol has a 12.5 barrel & I used a rifle length buffer tube to get to a legal overall length in order to have a vertical foregrip .
The barrel has to be 16 inches not the length of rifle
If you have a 12 inch barrel and say a 4 inch flash hider for example for 16 inch then your good
AOW section of classification is not something a lot of people including LEO acknowledge or know about in general
@demon_milk_man8686 I agree but the fudds at my local range will ask for tax stamps its insane
@@256NATO as long as the overall length of the “pistol “ is 26 inches which on a 12.5 in barrel WITH a rifle length buffer tube can easily be reached with practically any muzzle device than the “ pistol “ can have a vertical foregrip legally . Ask DR google it pops right up .
Hey, Im having a hard time with this. How do you grip around your Scar 16's handguard and activate your peq15 at the same time? I can do it but its very tiring, especially in classes.
Do you have a tape switch for it? If not it will make it easier
Probably just a tape switch on the side
In the Marines we put the peq on the right side of the handguard for this reason, we tilt rifle to the left to get laser above bore and shoot like that when active aiming.
Can ypu put a lpvo on a ar pistol
Yes, that’s not illegal or regulated.
Should you? Is a completely other question though.
@@-Seager why shouldn't you
Only argument i could see is it’s a shorter barrel length but that doesn’t necessarily mean you shouldn’t add a Lpvo. A lot of people have red dot, holographics, prisms, and Lpvos on their ar pistols. Totally up to you and how you want to rock your build
@@scottbowlin9374 Yeah I agree with what the other commenter said. However, shorter length ARs don’t push the full potential of a LPVO and some LPVO/Magnified optics are optimized around 14.5” barrels. But honestly, it’s completely up to you.
I didn’t necessarily mean you “shouldn’t” put a LPVO on an AR pistol. It’s more of a question of: “do I need/want a LPVO?” or “what optic is best for my AR pistol and my environment?”
Aside from an AR pistols’ buffer tube everything else requires a stock to really shoulder and fire. Join the government list and just SBR it.
I’m a fan of SBRs. This is just info for people who may not know
Can I put a pistol stock on a registered SBR so I can travel to a neighboring state without having to ask for permission?
…asking for a friend!!
I believe Sage Dynamics covers this topic in one of his videos and he is ex LEO. I believe you can
That’s the dumbest way to try do it, interstate travel with an sbr is still regulated as an sbr. Once a firearm is an sbr, it is an sbr for the rest of its life it can never go back. Also, a pistol can become a rifle and back to a pistol, a rifle can never become a pistol. Just buy a pistol lower.
Free men don't ask or pay for permission. Imma gonna own what the hell i want to i don't give a shit what the rules are
👍
