I bought a Disney Princess kids backpack from target, sewed a piece of felt inside, and got a roll of adhesive Velcro, added a mag pouch with my 9” 300blk bcm folder. just sits in the passenger floorboard of my truck. just wanted something less tactical looking
I would get rid of the disney backpack, people going to think you are a groomer.
Same methodology here. No advertising what could possibly be in my vehicle, why would a thief want to steal my "diaper" bag 👌
I'm currently on the lookout for a "Hello Kitty" backpack.
cause they think there is a million dollars in it and they'll bash out your window to get it!@@NoLimitsCommemorativ
@@joshmonus Lol. Unfortunately true these days.
Had a friend go to a range recently he had just finished his day there and put his weapons in his car after he had to take a piss and while he was doing that someone broke into his car and still maybe 3 pistols a shotgun a bolt action and his Scar17. Whoever had the balls to do that at a gun range was hard to wrap my head around but it happens more than you think I learned.
Targeted crime.
@@Ithinkthereforeimright crazy that someone was willing to chance getting dead by breaking into that car
Car prowlings are far more common than situations where you need a rifle. If you're a trucker who spends hundreds of hours a month in a vehicle, or a farmer who bounces around in empty fields, fixing fences and dropping hogs, a dedicated truck gun makes sense as long as you apply an abundance of caution. For the average commuter working in an office or a factory or something, your truck gun is orders of magnitude more likely to be a dangerous, valuable loot drop for some crackhead than serve you in any real purpose. Learn to use your pistol in a defensive context, learn defensive and emergency driving, and think about throwing a rifle in your truck when you're going to be in it all day.
A 300 BLK Pistol with a 7.5 barrel is very practical in the field, on the ranch. Like the idea of keeping it in a backpack (a gym bag setup works pretty well but has limitations)
I recently made the change from a MK107 chambered in 2.23 Wylde to a PDW chambered in .300 Blackout. I know many people scoff at the idea of a rifle caliber truck or bag gun, but if you travel by car or have long commutes it can come in handy especially if you have to vacate your vehicle. Weather, Civil Unrest, mechanical breakdown… Trust me it is not for everyone and you have to really maintain control of your bag at all times…
Cool story, bro.
Find the need to 'vacate' your car often?
@@Mr.Ut21 for my purpose hotel stays and walking around unfamiliar towns. But a few years ago we had a weather event and people were forced to leave their vehicles on the interstate. During another time we had several civil rest events in which people were accosted by large groups of people blocking traffic. In some cases the protesters chose to attack people in their cars. Much of those situations did not make the news.
@@hawkins71 shooting someone with your rifle definitely would have made the news.
@@Mr.Ut21 I hope to never have to shoot anyone with anything. Things would have had to have gotten pretty bad with no escape path and all other choices and options have been exhausted. After sitting through several legal aspects of shooting courses and seminars, you quickly realize how life changing and costly the aftermath is…
definitely peace of mind where you don't want to attract even the slightest attention.
Mike, you are ALWAYS just so logical and explain everything so everyone can understand.
Excellent instructor.... I have a Smith and Weston m&p 15 .
Thanks for sharing Mike! Always great info to consider.
I really love that Law Tactical Folding Stock adapter. Great setup.
I really dig that sleeve for the AR pistol! That would fit into a number of bags if you wanted a more “gray man” look vs black multicam. Excellent mindset and Great pro tip!
I need one for my goruck. Anybody know where I can purchase just the sleeve? EDIT Just purchased my sleeve with a double mag pouch. Can’t wait to run my SOLGW 9” 300 BLK IN MY GR1 Shooter.
@@Dubs39 Nordic research’s website. Idk why, but all my responses seem to be getting pruned from this thread.
The sleeve is a really nifty feature, i like that too.
Anytime I listen to Mike speak, he's always talking about "Smashing Targets" and "Killing Bad Guys". When he says it, you know he's done it so many times he thoroughly enjoys it. When other guys say it, it doesn't sound as genuine. lol MERRY CHRISTMAS!
The biggest challenge would probably be deploying it from that bag to engage a threat quickly inside your car, a pistol on your person or within arms reach is always going to be way faster, unless you’re in luck to have a senecio where you have time. I’d say the best thing is to 100% still have a pistol with you to quickly access and then use it to get to the bag gun given you’d have time.
Very similar to what I got. 7” 300blk upper on a folding lower. I just run an old T1 for an optic.
Great Video! Thank you for the info! And BRCC for the win! Been drinking it and subscription for years
Hells yeah brother, FINALLY an honest tried and true set up that has some thought behind it. Most other videos are just showing off the $10k kit stuck in a bag that was given to them for clicks.. This setup seems more realistic and attainable for most folks just trying to make it home. Not that overpriced gear is a problem just the reasoning from the folks pushing it there is. Violence of action wins fights, if that means me bringing a rifle to a knife fight then yep i win
357 Sig bois are coming unglued right now.
Excellent video. This is always a trouble spot for me and I appreciate the insights. I've never been a bag guy either, so it's nice to hear this.

I went with PSA KS47 pistol 10.5" barrel, its a AR platform that shots 7.62x39 feeds from AK mags. Love this gun, cost about $550 2 years ago. 300blk and 7.62x39 have very similar characteristics. I have a Sure Fire Scout with pressure switch, Holosun red dot and a 3x magnifier. I am planning to put one of these Law Tactical folding stocks in the next few months.
Literally the setup in my cart rn. Lol that's what's up. Stay safe. 🤙 PSA has some great clones. People need to get on the ball. Lol
@@mrarivv0007 A buddy of mine told about Sylvan Arms folding stock adaptors. It looks like their Gen 4 allows the stock to fold left or right and its 140 bucks right now, half the price of Law folding adaptor.
You stay safe as well.
Why fold when you can't shoot
@@TheTAEclub Folding makes it a smaller package to be able to store it without taking it apart. It takes about another second to snap it over to shoot.
@@PreparedOverlander true there are options like brn 180 in 7.62 upper and it's bufferless like ak can shoot folded very little mod to work with ks47 regular ak mags not ar 7.62x39mm
That is one cool rifle.. I love it.. Perfect home defense gun if you ask me..
Very cool..

One of my favorite videos. I need that AR pistol set up
My AMD 65 has worked great for my truck tool. I keep it basic, no optic, nothing fancy, I chunk it in my van every morning with no worries. I’ve recently purchased a 7.5 inch AR pistol but waiting to see what the atf is going to do before I carry it every day
The mcx 300 bo with a 9" or 6.75 inch with a can. Also a 300 bo rattler with a 6.75 inch barrell barrell with a can as well. I am partial to the 110s or 125s. Close to ak ballistics in a smaller package with ar controls.
Very cool video thanks for sharing!
The idea of a truck gun sounds good, but I’d be constantly worried someone will steal it!
I run a BCM 11.5 pistol loaded with 556SBCT3 for home, vehicle, hotel defense in a Grey Ghost Apparition pack (med gear, water and snacks) complementing the two 10mm pistols (XTEN and XDM Elite 3.8) loaded w bonded Norma spec ammunition for any practical EDC scenario - and I shoot them a lot! Honestly, the .300 BO is a waste of time and money for me. Sure it’s good for CQB, but so is the T3, and knowing my DOPE, if I need longer shots, I maintain 77s close at hand.
This is Greatness!! Thank you !
To bad the ATF is trying to take away our braces such a freaking joke. But on the other hand great vid and I just recently got a 7.5” 300 upper to replace my 5.56 for the truck
We should HOPE that the *All Traitorous Fucks* finalize their arbitrary "rule" on turning all braced firearms into a sbr/sbs! Once they do that, they will completely fuck themselves over by immediately making those *10+ MILLION* weapons into *EXTREMELY COMMON USE* and will no longer be able to do a damned thing about it!
@PDYALL. To bad the courts are smacking the ATF's unconstitutional laws down.🤣🇺🇸🇺🇸
I use a regular run of the mill non descript back pack. No identifiers not patches no Molle no camo. Make sure you bag is very robust (strong material) and has good zippers.
I couldn’t get my 7” BCM to cycle subs. BCM was really great and let me swap it for another 9” 300blk. Both my 9” have cycled everything I have ever thrown at them.
I like that chonker of an optic.
Good video!! Would you do a jeep episode too? Would be nice to see how you set it up for yourself!
What ammo do you keep in your truck gun setup?
As much as I daydream about getting into a gunfight, booking it to my car and retrieving something bigger than my EDC, I don't keep a carbine in my car because one of my biggest fears is one of my guns being stolen and used in a murder. As a side note, I wonder how hard it would be to make a basic plate carrier that acts like that sleeve.
Right now im building a 6.5 grendel pistol. 😅
ive built a 300bo and its a great pistol round
Good deal man love the vid got me thinking
Absolutely makes Sense to Me. So for me it has to make a lot of sense for me to go along. My slice isn’t followed the Leader.
I can't afford to lose sn AR so I have a 9mm sub 2000 that uses glock mags I keep in go bag for car. Pretty light and folds in half for easy storage.
The Eberlestock jacknife is made just for a taken apart ar platform rifle or a PDW of sorts and jt doesn't have molle webbing all over it. I went with the Eberlestock Bandit backpack and now after recently going with a B&T ghm 9mm compact for my truck gun/out of town for work gun and it fits but the Jacknife would have been absolutely perfect.
Nice video appreciate the information. The only downside I see is the ATF's new brace rules that going into effect. and the fact that That is now going to be considered an SBR even though a while ago it was perfectly fine. I especially appreciate the information about firing a pistol through a windshield and the fact that you probably wouldn't hit the target good thing to know.
You do realize that’s unconstitutional... right?
@@zebwalton979 Of course it's unconstitutional, but they don't care, they lie And cheat.
Consider just running a single point sling to keep it legal. I personally will not be traveling with a 10 year felony in my bag (unregistered SBR) although everyone is free to choose what’s best for them. I plan to just use a single point sling instead. Hopefully this brace rule is overturned.
@jimlemon9159. A federal court has grant a restraint order against the ATF from enforcing that unconstitutional law.👍🇺🇸🇺🇸
Great video
Darn good stuff.
Run a galil ace pistol in 7.62, it’s a beast just wanted one but 300 blk is nice to
I went with PSA KS47 pistol, it also shoots 7.62x39. Very good gun.
Good stuff.
When shooting through a wind shield give the pistol a homebase on the steering wheel or dash and shoot 5 to eight rounds at the target. The first couple will make a hole in the windshield which will allow the others rounds to travel unaffected by the glass.
Just received my Raid 2.0 bag from Nomadic Research... I fucking love this bag! Takes my Spear LT 9" 300BLK with a 30round mag no problem whatsoever. Two spare 30's, Magpul sling, a 16" laptop, power charger and mouse plus more and it is incredibly comfortable to wear with the weight distributed nicely with good shoulder straps that have adjustable height chest straps so you can move the chest strap up or down according to what is most comfortable for you. Extremely nice bag all around!
I usually EDC a P320 X Compact and keep the P320 VTAC with a Trijicon SRO and Streamlight TLR on the nightstand and a Banshee M17 that takes the P320 mag with a Streamlight TLR and small Aimpoint under the bed. I've been thinking about making that a truck gun but now Mike just convinced me I need to break into the 300 BO market for the truck instead. I have a DD Mk18 with the Law and Tactical brace in 556. Just need the upper receiver in 300 BO and I could swap them out, very carefully of course.
Found out in New York state your AR15 pistol has to have a ten round pinned or welded in magazine, then registered with a local sheriff dept, must have a CCW to begin with, then it goes on your CCW like a regular handgun.

“I don’t think I would use it for that, because I carried my pistol on my person” 💪🏽💪🏽
Maybe it's just that I'm lefthanded, but I'll take shooting out the driver side window over shooting through the windshield 100% haha. Pistols are feasible in this way. Even with something like an AR pistol build I'd probably just prefer to stop and get out with it to really be effective.
First, I do carry. However, having my MacBook stolen out of my truck isn’t comparable to having my weapon stolen. That’s apples and oranges… a bad guy isn’t going to harm or kill someone with a stolen MacBook.
A weird cuz I just put together the same basic set up for my truck rig 👀👀 folding stock and all only I got my carrier in the bag with 2 mags of subs and 2 supers and a silencer co can
Thank you 👍. How ‘bout Mossberg Shockwave with “arm brace” 12 gauge w/ 00 buck shot for a truck gun?
Yeah we don't don't want these items rollin' around on the floorboards especially if there is a kid strapped in a carseat; might as well leave it on your dashboard for all to see. On a serious note though that is a nifty bag option, it looks similar in function and options to my vertx gamut 2.0. I originally wanted to get the black multi-cam color but went with a canyon orange and tan color so its a little more inconspicuous. Next time I have a need for something like this I'll consider Nomadic Research. Great review!
Amazing 🤩
Great Video 💪🏻 no you need to burn 🔥 that POS hat ASAP bro 👌🏻
Hey Mike, love the content you and the team steadily produce…. Wondering if you have ever tested 5.7? Wondering how the five seven round would do with your glass test. I love the idea of a truck gun, but balance it with the storage security concerns….
Glass tests are retarded.
Just shoot the glass AGAIN. Thats how you shoot through BP glass with regular ass bullets. It will shatter after a couple rounds.
Zero need for stupid ammo or guns.
Can't have a loaded rifle in the rig in Some states. I'm thinking 5.7 pistol too...
steyr aug short but still a good length barrel for the 5.56 ballistics to be effective
Hey Brother. Great video. Got me to subscribe and like. Lots of good info. Do you have the build specs for that pistol? That's a great build, and I know you have a good reason for everything on it.
Nice little gun. Of course the AR-15 can shoot almost any popular caliber so thats a plus in its favor. Id love to know your thoughts on .308 versions.
Looking at the pistol brace makes me wanna cry 😢
Yeesh. Meme lords gonna have a field day with this one.
I’d switch the optic but good load out 👍
Same here. I had a UH-1, the refresh rate issue is ... annoying to say the least.
i'd ditch the front sight if there isn't a rear sight to go with it

Recovering wingnut turned OTR trucker here. Occasionally I have to go places that are kinda shady. It's mainly when I shut down for the day that there's any risk to me. My truck gun (which I'm not supposed to have per company rules) is a PSA 10.3" 5.56 AR pistol with a Holosun green dot, a Sightmark light/laser combo and 30rd mags. It's nothing fancy like you pros are used to, but it's an economical setup. I also keep a Glock 41 around. Hopefully, I'll never need them.
I am with ya on the .300 BLK, but, availability IS an issue. I have a dedicated 8" AR 9mm pistol for my car gun. It takes Glock mags (my daily carry pistol). Testing shows that I get 1450 fps on my 124 gr. rounds. That will do for the time being till I can unass the rig and use it for cover. Then I am fine. I punches thru windshields and doors just fine and testing shows that at 10-15 yards, does not deflect as much as one might think (4-5 inches low thru the front glass from the driver seat). If .300 was more available, I would jump on it! But, for me, not a reliable option.
Side note- try G9 defense barrier blind 9mm
I like the gun and the bag. However, it is in no way a criticism, but I have a different outlook on the optics. Like the 3 of 7 Project, I only run iron sights and a light for a truck gun. Enlisting at 17 in 1972, I am a little more old school. I was shooting a long time before optics on an M-16 /AR-15.
I went with an APC10 with Holosun AEMS, loaded with Underwood 165gr Gold Dots
This setup smashes. I run the same thing with a B&T can. VERY flat shooting round out to 100.And its 10mm. Nuff said. Mine fits perfect folded in a Vertx Transit 2
I really like how that entire piece pulls out of the bag like that. Was that something made specifically for you as a contractor or something that is commercially sold?
It’s usually a toss between my grey ghost apparition bag or my Wilson tennis racquet bag. Depends where I’m going and how it looks to the people that would see it.
I’m really curious about the placement of the optic and the front sight.
Serious question though, I noticed you do not have a suppressor on your truck gun. -10.5 comped barrel in enclosure
Me: "Mike what gun is best for this or that scenario?"
Mike: "Yes."
Thank you for an excuse to build a new pistol Mr. Glover!
Cool gun love the video
he really be knowing what he talking bout
This bag, pistol pouch, Velcro elastic , etc reminds me of my Kodiak(?) sling bag from maxpedition. I prefer a sling bag actually, but it does look tactical and draws attention, which sucks for urban carry. I've been looking to convert some generic bags, or find a good one. The one in the video looks rather large and bulky. Slim and compact is less obvious. I've also seen pouches or Velcro boards for slipping into any bag. Lots of options out there. I'm thinking of grabbing a Salesforce swag bag and upgrading it so it looks woke but isn't....
I’m retired LE so I always have a 9mm or 45 cal Glock with me. I live in New York State, so I am limited to what rifle I can have. Of course no AR’s or AK’s are allowed. Do you have any other suggestions other than moving to a gun friendly State. Thank you.
I think you're being alittle harsh on the 9mm. There are plenty of videos out there proving the 9mm is able to penitrate glass and multiple layers of seats quite well.
I'd definitely say its good to have a truck gun if you can secure one properly, but by no means are you SOL if all you have is your pistol.
What’s your opinion on 7.62x39 or 7.62x51 in pistol form vs 7.62×35mm
Mike, you have to consider the FK BRNO, 2000 fps rounds bro!😎😎😎😎😎😎😎
The velcro you pulled out is for AR Mags my man
Would be dope if that rip out pouch was a plate carrier with soma basic straps. Some Kevlar better than no Kevlar.
I was thinking the same thing! I was waiting for him to pull out some straps and a backpack armor plate to put in it or something!
hasnt gone through the bag but is gonna tell us we should use it to carry lifetaking/saving equipment. headass
Thats is a very nice rifle 👏👏
Not even prepared for a preparedness video. Hilarious.
Glovers that guy
Damn, about to start packing my 9" 300blk BCM SBR that has a folder. Fits into a very discreet Dakine (skateboarding) brand backpack that I found at an empty skatepark. Prefer something that doesn't scream "there may be a gun in this bag". Might have to get some supers though since I generally only shoot subs due to owning a can for it. I don't think I'd bring that along with me. That would suck to get stolen.
Is it legal to conceal carry an SBR in your state? I don’t believe it is in mine.
I forgot which Pew-tuber said it but they recommended a basic Walmart children's book bag for your truck gun because it's completely invaluable to the naked eye.
Now that I'm thinking about it, a diaper bag might be a great option because of the shape and utility of all the pockets
Pretty sure that was Lucas from T. Rex Arms. Said a kids backpack from Walmart would be the best for a "grey man" bag.
I’ve got a Vertx bag that’s bright blue with orange zippers. Looks like a college kids regular backpack. Very unassuming. It isn’t left in my vehicle, but when it’s on my back, no one is the wiser. Ready Pack 2 is the model.
Standard $15 Jansport with a "stained" pair of decoy tightie-whities hanging out. Good to go!
Optional: Before use, crumple up the backpack and shove it in another bag full of unwashed gym clothes to marinate a week or two. 👍👍 🤮
ok... where did the Blackbeard / Dog patch come from? Only one I can find is 5"x3"...
Is there a non tactical version? The bag itself screams "I have a gun"
They have a plain wolf grey version that has no camo on it

M&P 5.7 for my truck gun ;)
This video just makes me think that the Aft saw all the fun we're having with truck gun configurations and how popular it's becoming AND NOW wants to put a dampening on the party. Eff that.
When did you do that video Mike?? The car window video Lol
I'm assuming Mike uses supersonic ammo unsuppressed? What about 220gr (subsonic) ammo? Will that go thru glass, car doors, etc and still be in target? Reason being I want to protect my hearing so I may opt for suppressed subsonic.
Holy crap. He was making this up as he went showing the bag. I’m glad he figured out which way the huey is mounted this time. Ok social media guy, we totally believe you put it backwards on purpose
As a recently retired LEO (25yr)from a large Midwest city I would caution people not to leave a weapon (or laptop) unattended in their vehicle for any reason. I can't begin to tell you how many stolen firearm reports "I" personally took over the years and the thefts were "all" preventable! P.S. most of the victims did not have the serial numbers at the time of the reports, which means they could not be put into NCIC as stolen!
If you live in the city or the suburbs please do not leave a pistol, rifle, backpack, purse, cell phone or anything that could contain these items in your vehicle. The amount of theft from vehicles that I see every year is astonishing. I would be pretty bummed if I knew I put a gun in the hands of a criminal.
I knew a guy that did surveillance for a particular crime type , he'd see guys breaking into cars and pd policy is to not usually bother with the petty crime of car break ins. They literally let the thieves make it, a nice gym bag probably doesn't make the cop think gun and the need to loose concealment
