I Felt confident heading out on my machine this day, only do what you feel comfortable with. 10" of ice seems to be our maximum this year, as we all know this is the mildest winter we've seen! This video just show the amount of snow and snow drifts there are. Be safe, walking or riding, ice is always unpredictable. Thanks for watching and subscribe if you haven't!
Was told somebody fall into the wide-open pressure cracks last night. Fortunately got out of the water with an Argo 6x6.
Simcoe is not safe for ATVs this winter.
Wow, I haven't heard that yet but I'm glad they got out. I think after last weekend, I'd think twice about using heavy machines. These mild temperatures change the conditions real quick. I hope everyone stays safe. 🙏

I was out at Brechin Point on Sunday and the ice was about 11 inches. Sadly it was a slow day and didn't catch any fish at all. Saw nothing. A guy we met there caught one whitefish but that was it as far as I know.
Nothing?! Wow, that does happen, a lot. We saw whitefish, about a dozen but they had no interest in our lures. The perch that showed up, were too small. It's tough to get out to where we want this year, and we are pulling the hut off this week as the temperature is too warm.
Worst ice fishing season ever...
Agreed, we can only hope it was a fluke year and next year is a good one!
How is it going out to Whitefish grounds in Port bolster?
We finally got out further that day, closer to the grounds but not on it. We saw about a dozen whitefish on the camera but they were not interested. Unfortunately, the weather is getting warm and we have to bring the hut in this weekend, it's too risky.

@@howisimcoe I think I am just an anti music in videos person. It is rare that music improves the enjoyment of a video but not so rare that it irritates. I don't think I am alone in this.
@@John-pn7bh Thank you for the feedback, I do try to pick music to go with the emotion of the day, and I try to be mindful of everyone's taste. Maybe I'll lower the volume going forward.
