Is lifetime warranty working? (SanDisk)

- Let's talk about lifetime warranty. I saw it on some products here and there, but never had the chance to actually try it out. Luckily my SanDisk SD memory card was not functioning properly, so I could test how their warranty process is working. I filed in my RMA request and here I'm showing you the whole process of getting my memory card exchanged under warranty. Obviously, as any good American movie, this video will have a happy ending too.

Hi Ákos, nice video, one question, how much was for the UPS shipping? I have a faulty memory card I bought 8 years ago so I'm really keen on trying out this lifetime warranty myself. Since the exact same card is sold for 6k HUF nowadays I might not go with it if "többe kerül a leves mint a hús".
Thanks Gee. If they accept your product for rma, you will get the shipping label, which only needs to be printed, the cost is covered by SanDisk, at least it was the way in my case. Hopefully you can have free leves with your brand new hús, I wish you luck!
@@AkosRajtmar Well, I must say I'm pretty satisfied with Sandisk's response. They've answered within 24 hours, saying that I wouldn't be applicable for the 10 years (not a lifetime but still not bad) warranty as I used a regular (Sandisk Ultra) memory card in a security camera (instead of a High Endurance card which is intended for this usage as it turns out) but as a one-time courtesy, they are exchanging mine for a new one. This is genuine customer care.

I've been using the same Sandisk cards fir 4 years, I was wondering if I needed to replace them. Since they have a lifetime warranty, I guess not. I'll just get some extra cards, even though I can shoot all day on what I have now without having to replace them.
Yes, they need to be confident in having a good product, otherwise it won't be feasible to have lifetime warranty. I hope you'll keep having good experience with SanDisk.
Lifetime warranty how many time we can change corepted momerycard ??
So far I just tried once, it is working ever since, but I expect it to work any time…

I tried it once just because i was curious. Had 5 year warranty (card stopped working after 4 years) the whole process was a pain in the ass. After I filled out all forms, taking pics etc. and all the emailing back and forth... They told me to pay shipping for it to get sent to them which costs more than the actual card 😂

Wait until you are 75 to buy anything with a lifetime warranty. It will still be around when you aren’t! 🤔😳

I am so confused. Help me out. So does that warranty applies to the sd card no matter where you buy it? Cause I see one eshop saying life time warranty and second eshope saying nothing about it.
