- The Ego HT2500 hedge trimmer is now available at dealers. It can be purchased individually as a bare tool, or in a kit (HT2501) with a 2.5 Ah battery and a charger. Now that the HT2500 is available we thought we would give you a bit of a side by side comparison between it and the popular Ego HT2410 hedge trimmer. Both of these Ego hedge trimmers are great models and can easily match the power of most gas hedge trimmers of equal size. The HT2500 does cost noticeably more than the HT2410, but as you can see in this side by side comparison, it is money well spent because of the features of the HT2500.

Finally some information about what the difference is between these 2 hedge trimmers!
Terrific review! Fully informative yet concise (which seems to be a lost art on CZcams.) Thanks.
Thank you!
The HT2500 is definitely a step up in cutting performance....both in blade quality and power. Have many, many hours on the previous model running it commercially. The HT2500 has much better blades allowing it to cut a variety of bushes/hedges more cleanly plus the extra blade speed helps.
Thank you for this great overview of the differences!
THANK YOU! I have been looking all over the web for this information! I even called EGO, and THEY couldn't give me what YOU very thoroughly explained. Now I won't feel like I'm buying the Emperor's New Clothes.😅😅👍
Just the comps I was looking for thx
great job, thx man!
Thank you!
Fantastic review. EGO should have such a comparison on their website. I was just trying to make a decision between these two. I need a second battery for my EGO Leaf Blower and decided it was smarter just to buy a whole new EGO toolkit to get the extra battery since they are so expensive on their own. I see another person comment that the cutting action is slow but I have a really old black and decker battery-powered hedge trimmer that is terrible. These look 100% higher quality. Going with 2501 for the extra $120 because it seems more durable and I like the slightly extra reach. Thanks again for this informative video.
Thank you for watching and commenting!
Exactly! But EGO needs to lighten up on their battery prices! They even charge for a strap for the edgers (greed).
2410 is bare tool...2411 is the kit...I bought 2410 with 2.5 ah battery for 90 bucks at lowes. They had kits for 140 but only had display model. Now I know why I can’t register it as a kit model. This vid helped me figure that out....I’ll call ego because I don’t want to just register the trimmer and not the battery.
They didn't put a hole at the end of the HT2500 for hanging like the other model?
It's got one the other end on the base.
Where might you purchase this 2500 I found a 2501 is that comparable to this great video
The 2500 is probably the hedge trimmer as a bare tool. The 2501 would be the kit with the 2500 hedge trimmer, battery and a charger.
My motor locked up. I tried the gearing and that wasn't the issue.
What is the weight of the HT 2500 without the battery?
Why, you have to have the battery anyway
@@Theyralltakenfu not if you use the backpack link
Pushed the buttons and get a click, err then nothing
2500 is built for commercial user
They actually have a commercial unit that only works with their commercial battery. The 2500 is like the pro-sumer model
@@DirtyBuffaloProductions we purchased one , blades are way to slow
