EGO HT2410 (HT2411) Hedge Trimmer Features & In Use

  • The Ego HT2410 hedge trimmer has replaced the now discontinued HT2400 in Ego's 56 volt consumer equipment line up. The HT2410 is not just a better hedge trimmer that the HT2400 was, it's also arguably better than all the other current brands of battery powered hedge trimmers. The HT2410 is available in a kit with a 2.5 Ah battery and a charger. The kit product number is HT2411 and it is available at Home Depot, Ace Hardware, Ego dealers, and from other select sources. The trimmer has a 5 year limited warranty which is better than what many well known name brands offer on their gas powered models. And of the brands that do offer a warranty of that length (or close to it), they still have a hard time matching the HT2410 in price. It's hard to beat the combination of price, warranty, run time, durability, balance, and performance of the EGO HT2410.

Great Trimmer! I also have their leaf blower. I put it away one day, came back 4 days later and it would not start. Tried several batteries and nothing. I purchased it 5 months back and thought i was screwed. Called ego and they sent me a new one within 5 days! I needed proof of purchase. Emailed it to them and that was that. Great customer service. I have since purchased the chainsaw and will buy more from them.

Great feedback! You really can't go wrong with this EGO hedge trimmer! It just chops through anything that fits in the blade openings.

I just purchased the HT2411 from Ace Hardware today. I have an Ego Self propelled Mower, a Ego Blower, a Ego String Trimmer, and a Ego Edger. Ego has been really reliable which is why I keep purchasing from them. I can’t wait to try this hedge trimmer on my bushes tomorrow.

I've had my EGO leaf blower for over 10 years and batteries still work fine. Just picked up a ego hedge trimmer and edge trimmer. No complaints. Great Value!

I bought my ego hedge trimmer last year. I cut a lot hedges. It’s a beast. Absolutely worth it. Cut anyway, ant position. The time it saves is amazing. The battery life is great.
I cut family and friends hedges and they think I’m the beast, but it’s the tool not the operator. I also have the weed waker power load. Even more Amazing.

Thanks for such an informative video. I bought the EGO lawn mower last year and I absolutely love it! No gas to mess with, No spark plugs, No oil. Easy to use.
So was looking to buy a trimmer and was debating between this and the DeWalt

We have ran quite a few battery powered hedge trimmers and this one from EGO has the best combination of price, balance, cutting capacity, and run time. most battery powered trimmers are not capable of cutting stuff bigger than 5/8". Ego's blades can handle up to 1". And the design of their batteries is a huge advantage.

We sell more of the Ego 56 volt hedge trimmers than any other model of battery powered hedge trimmer. We also have Echo, Husqvarna, Craftsman, and Black & Decker. The Ego ht2410 is our top seller and there isn't even a close second.

    • @BumpNrun69
      @BumpNrun69 Před 3 lety +1

"before use" hmm..? You may be asking for a cluttered mess when you go to cut inheriting a lot of dirt and grim to being mixed with the oil compound. I personally oil AFTER especial when I first wipe down the blade to get rid of debris.

Thanks for reading this comment 2 times & carefully.
    I enjoyed this video.
I watched you cut the THIN Forsythia branches (about 12 inches only).
When I do a Forsythia bush, I am typically down inside maybe 3 to 5 Foot length.
    (thicker branches & more denser).
The 2 tree branches were only a small to medium size cut
(I 'm not expecting chainsaw performance)
What you were cutting was of very little resistance !
Often when I am pruning, I am pruning Hardwood branches,
like a Yew shrub & others, where the branches are extremely hard to cut.
    And very dense.
Most of us professionals, know that the manufactures run times, are a fantasy world
    of lies.
We need to focus on the Reality world.
That artificial run time of 75 minutes will make many of us return these products back to the store & then back to the distributor, and maybe the manufacturer.
If enough people do this, the then company will go into Debt.
Then that company's creditors will eventually close them down.
In these type of heavy pruning situations,
    my decades of experience,
gives me the sense to predict the actual run time maximum might top out
at about 12 to 15 minutes.
75 minutes verses 15 minutes is a huge difference. (Basically, a in-your-face Lie).
I am interested in buying this product.
We would like to trust your judgement skills.
I do not want to waste my time, the retailer's money, the distributor's money, & EGO's money.
Would your best prediction be closer to 75 minutes ?
    Or 15 minutes ?
    Thank you.
And this was a good video.

      @EshlemaniaTV  Před 4 lety +1

We actually own this hedge trimmer and have used it for a few months just cutting various things around the property. I think 75 minutes is a stretch unless it is very small stuff. 35-45 minutes is more of an accurate number when cutting stuff around a 1/2" in diameter consistently. Most of the landscapers that use this hedge trimmer purchase the backpack link and use a larger battery from another piece of equipment with it for extended run time.

What does it weigh without the battery? They don't spec that on the website, but they claim "brushless" makes it lighter, but only info I've found looks like this is at least 2 lbs heavier than the 2400.

I bought this hedge trimmer about a year ago. With minimal use it's now making a horrible thwacking noise. No visible bent teeth or anything. I am just a homeowner. I know nothing. I guess I am back to my crappy B&D electric in the meantime. Any suggestions would be most appreciated. Thanks for the video.
