After testing the system for fuel in coolant and not finding a leak, we attributed the fuel in water to a antifreeze jug that had red diesel in it in the cab, so now we are going back together.

I'm a retired contractor due to stroke but after 4 years I'm working on my plow trucks and really enjoy the work videos. Hope you and your family are in good health. We used gearbox oil in small quantities from large containers, and it became contaminated and binned. So the company asked the supplier to supply the oil in 1L bottles, which were exactly the same as the air compressor oil, label an all except the name gearbox oil. Caused a commotion when empty compressor oil bottles were found next to the gearboxes. Luckily spotted before vehicle moved. All gearboxes drained, flushed, and re-filled with correct oil. Bit silly putting diesel in a coolant container, but these things happen. Great work as always Warren, jealous of your torque, they are amazing, I just can’t justify the price.

Warren use one of the bolts from the cover to hold the turning tool in, And as far as thefuel in the antifreeze have never seen it happen.I work for a company that has a fleet of 60 peterbilt triaxles with paccars only problem we ever had was head gaskets and heads. And if you ever get one of those heads plained they do not get plained flat it takes a special machine to plain them. I learned the hard way. Had a local machine shop do one of my heads and had the same problem pushing antifreeze out the expansion tank, found out from paccar the those heads are machined with a arch in them.
Good man you got it sorted in the end. I just dont understand why engine manufacturers have moved from a torque value on a bolt to send it all the way home to part torque and then turning by degrees. Just a pain in the arse and in my mind less accurate.

Over the years I found out that it’s a bad idea as far if a truck gets fu__ed up and the “ truck boss” is looking to get pissed off at somebody. I had a new Holland skid steer that had the fuel pumped out of the tank into a blue plastic barrel. Got the thing back from the shop still would not run. Pumped it back out myself, kept finding what looked like chewing tobacco on end of pump line. Somebody had used plastic barrel to spit chewing tobacco into.
