for the MCL (Medial Collateral Ligament) is pretty simple if you know your anatomy. Whether it’s for sport or for stabilisation after an acute injury, this can be used both for the MCL and the LCL as the taping is the same.

What the. Shouldn’t u do PT and try to heal first
Thank You! I have MRI test now and its good. MCL only subtotal tear. Meniscus and lateral ligament is ok. :) @@SS-dp7lt
well explained, and good lighting.
Glad you liked it!
I’m working with athletes, so this is very helpful. Just one question, why rigid type vs kinesiotape? More stability?
Rigid for stability
Thank goodness! That KT is $$$.
Best way to heal knee?
Should we engage our core the same way you said(pelvic floor engaged and tva 30%) during running?
If it’s weak you may need to but it should be functioning by itself with running
@@physiorehab ok, thanks
I play football and last year (2022) I trained as usual, but after a training session it started to hurt behind my knee (I don't know if it was a bad move or a blow).
Currently I can't pull my knee back much, because after a certain point I start to feel pain behind the knee, then when I stretch it it seems that it also hurts in front of the knee.
I've already had an MRI, ultrasound, physical therapy and the pain continues.
Think you know what it could be?
I would love to know the answer to this as well. My son has the exact same issue from football
@@silverbullettruckaccessori1052 i have been going to two different osteopaths and none of them really make a difference in my pain, I don’t think they actually know what is happening 🤷🏻♂️😕
If the MRI is negative for any injury, joint effusion, or damage, you need it fully assessed by sports physiotherapist
I blew completely my ACL and grade 1 MCL. Doc said advise no surgery just therapy. I am in 3rd month trying to get range and strenth back should I tape my knee like this for more stability? Thanks
Only if the knee is unstable in that direction. By three months if it’s only a grade 1 MCL there should really be any need for taping
@@physiorehab thanks for reply. I am mostly concerned about having no ACL and stability.
How would you tape your knee if you have bone on bone?
No different if it’s a MCL tear
Is that the left or the right leg? Would help to know.
That would be the left…
I break my knee 2 times in 1 month on the same way. I hope is MCL and not ACL, but i havent seen a doctor yet...
Did you see the doctor? What happened?
are you using Lucotape?
It’s a similar brand, victor pro
Do you need to shave for this?
Thanks for this segment Tim.
