I've watched 5 different applications of tape on knees. All of them have had other people doing the taping on someone's knee. When I try this myself its logical to see a post of self taping.this was very helpful. Thank you
By far the absolute most straightforward and understandable instructions for taping a knee. Thank you!
Thanks Darci! I appreciate the kind comment. Glad it helped 👌🏻
Thank you! I am going to try for my osteoarthritis knee as it will hopefully be nicer than a knee sleeve and look better under clothing. Fingers crossed it works for my knee.
Excellent demonstration!
Thank you so much for your useful instructions, very informative and detailed
Great, clear instructions & measurements. Thanks
Love your work!!! Thank you 👊
Nicely explained…thanks.
Very clear and concise. Very helpful Thank you.
Thank you, Joyce. Glad it helped
Thanks for this tutorial, finally found the understandable content
Thank you so much excellent instruction. This is my first knee injury so had no idea what to do. I’m almost 70 so I guess that’s pretty good since it’s my first one at this age but anyways, thank you very good video.
nice one ! Thank you Chris !!
Good and well explained 👍
Thank you, this is very helpful. I have started getting knee pain, I thinj because I am carrying too much weight. It doesn't help motivate to exercise, being in pain, so I'm hopeful this will help me to stay active.
Thank you this video really helps.
This helped me so much 👍🏻
Excellent info thank you
Thank you, will give this a try.
Appreciate adding measurements on tape, I have to get cheaper stuff and trial by error
Just what I needed.
The tape I bought did not come with instructions. I've been plagued with knee pain for a while, and K tape seems like the best option for stability with out pain meds. I've tried sleeves and braces, which are too constricting. We'll see🤞
Thank you vere much indeed 🥰🙏💐It is very helpful and İ appreciate you top much.👋 from Turkey❤
Thank you, thank you. You make it very easy to see how its to be placed.. I have osteoarthritis in both of knees. It didnt help when a goat head butted my knee. Which damaged petellar tendon.
Thanks for this.
Hello, great and thank you for the good tutorial, what are the Kinzo color schemes for
Very good!
Helpful ty
would this help with osgoods?
Hey m8 can this be helpful for patellafemoral pain? Especially when walking up or down stairs and when my knee is under load.
I was seen by a dr and I have started physical therapy for this and I have stopped wearing my knee brace as much and incorporating more workouts that will strengthen my knees.
I’m just ready to get back out and do all of my hobbies 👌
Hi Alex,
Yes it can definitely be helpful for patellofemoral pain. Obviously addressing the tendon with load management and strength exercise is the primary goal, but this may be an effective pain reliever while you train or go about daily activity
Is this also useful for knee pain while hiking (usually down hill I get some minor pain) or while simply jogging?
Hi calkid31. Yes this can be useful for the knee whether walking, hiking, climbing, running, jogging etc
How long does K tape last
Playing golf is difficult and painful, will it stabilize my wrist and help with arthritis pain?
Hi Mary. This application will not provide any significant stabilisation to the wrist or help notably with arthritis pain. The tape could be used for support at the wrist, but it would need to be applied around the wrist like a brace. Alternatively you could source a wrist brace from your local pharmacy. If the wrist pain is related to a true arthritis is is best managed by reducing inflammation. This may be through the use of medication or activity modification (avoiding aggravating activities).
For how long are u gonna stay with those tapes
You can leave them on as long as the stay on and are providing benefits
Is this helpful for playing sports too?
Hey Ronan 🤙🏻 Yes you can use it during or around sporting events. The aim is to offer relief of discomfort and in some ways it may provide minor support (if enough tension is used). If there is an injury you should still manage that appropriately
Can you please tell me where I get the tape.
Hi Linda, in Australia the majority of chemists/pharmacies will stock the tape, as well as most sporting retailers. Otherwise you can search for online stores stocking kinesiology tape 👌🏻
Oozing
🤙🏻
Is it ok yo tape on there's swelling ?
Hi Alejandra, yes you can tape over an area of swelling. No concern
Pleeeeease say the “inches” also…. Thank You
Ok pp
5 times and still not happy with the way I wrap it, I just can't do it how my psychotherapy guy did it
Driving me crazy 😅
Too much tension
Too little tension
One side too much tension
Pulling me forward
Going crazy here 😅😅😅😅
Don't stress too much about how you apply it. Arguably, it isn't crucial to get it a particular way. Tape it, test it out, and change it up next time if you didn't like it. It's not an exact science :)
If only it had a real affect and wasn't simply a placebo treatment. If it works for you as a placebo, great. Otherwise, it's a waste of money.
Outcomes do vary a lot, which would depend on the reason for the pain, reason for the taping etc. Placebo is always a consideration for any therapy/treatment. One thing to consider with any treatment or therapy involving contact with the body is touch is involved. As soon as contact is made with the individual (whether it be hands, tape…) we need to consider the effect on the nervous system and those MSK structures
