About a year ago, I became the caregiver of my elderly mother. I’m married and have a 16 year old daughter who is in remote virtual learning. I used to work from home doing nails, but Covid put a stop to that. Needless to say, I don’t do much at all these days. Being a caregiver can be rewarding in many way, however, I feel like my life has become stagnant. I have forgotten about myself and definitely feel like I’ve become very boring. I’m not so much concerned with seeming interesting to other people, but I want to be more interesting to myself. I think it’s very important to take interest in things as you said. Remember your passions and dedicate yourself to them. That’s why I’m going to start venturing out of my little box. You only live once so you got to enjoy every moment you can. Thanks for putting positive vibes into the world with your videos!

I'm physically disabled and have to wear a mask even when there isn't a pandemic, so I have a built-in conversation starter. I do wish people found more things interesting about me than my multiple physical conditions, but I have found that no one forgets me. I have also been able to educate a lot of people on the effects of Agent Orange and second generation Agent Orange exposure, which is great. At least I love teaching. And if I get started on the dangers of dioxin, I am usually able to direct the conversation to things I enjoy more, because people tend to start by seeing me only as my disabilities, and then ask about what I do. They always seem surprised when I tell them I'm a teacher, that I have a Masters degree, that I specialized in the study of science fiction, and that my hobbies include cooking, video games, classic movies, and making bespoke perfumes. There always seems to be an idea that as a disabled person, my life is sitting in a corner like a piece of furniture until I give a TED Talk about what's wrong with me.

Well, I feel like I’ve done most of these steps! I’m ALWAYS curious about things! I like to learn about what I’m interested in. Which also makes me easily distracted per having ADHD.
I struggle most with self confidence as an artist, since I’m insanely self critical. And trying every opportunity that comes my way. But I also realized the difference between feeling like you’re doing a lot and actually doing a lot.

I’m generally more worried about being TOO interesting, ha. When I’m on dates, I try hard to get to know the guy, but all they want to do is ask more about me and my life because it’s been so unconventional.
I wanted to travel when I was younger, then I got pregnant and now I have three kids and never even leave the town I live in. You enjoy life, travel, do everything you want before it's too late
