I've experimented with extended no showering and it takes my skin biome about 5 days to stabilize after a shower and stop stinking. The worst is the day after a shower when the skin is overproducing oil after the shower apocalypse stripped the skin and the microbes make weird chemicals while reproducing their numbers.
I have hug checked honest people to make sure I wasn't just being noseblind, but I have confirmed that my stink mostly goes away after about 5 days and stays gone most of the time.
Too much coffee will make my left pit stink for a couple hours, but yerba mate is fine, better buzz anyways. Not so jagged, just makes me feel motivated to go outside and do stuff.
All that said, now I shower when actually gross or just for the pleasure of it. Bathing is natural, but soapy hot showers are not. Deodorant does work to handle that early post-shower stink, it's a good way to get to the good smell phase. It's not smell free, just gentle man smell that everyone has said is fine. We get a lot of intuitive information about other people through smell, showering\scents have removed something primal, and I feel essential, from the societies that do that stuff.
Main issue with not showering is dead skin buildup, not stink.
