- Mags from @mygardenanddinosaurs nominated me for the 'One hour Challenge'. The rain scuppers my attempts to do all sorts of different tasks , however I do the best I can in the inclement weather.
Up at the allotment I get this year's potatoes in and also find room for a few parsnips.

Hi Fiona that was a busy time for you plenty sweet peas done , and your peas are coming up do hope you enjoy the Kent blue , nice you had some help planting potatoes and was fun for both you and them , that shelf will come in very handy .
I’m really looking forward to seeing what the Kent blue are like! I’ve been sorting out my seed packets today and organising them into piles according to when I want to sow them….got so many it’s overwhelming!😂. I think I’m going to need a couple more shelves!
Hi Fiona, your cat impersonation was spot on, good to see you planting a lot of seeds, my over wintered sweet peas froze to death, started some more so all is good😀
I let my overwintering geraniums and chillis all freeze too! Drat and darn it. 😸meow.

Thanks Nick. I always get nervous at this time of year and never believe the seeds will grow until I see it with my own eyes!😂

Hi Fiona it’s lovely to see you back after the winter break. I always sow carrots and parsnips in between garlic and onions. 👍🙋🏻
Hi Mandy! I’m definitely going to try sowing something between the onions and garlic this year but I keep changing my mind. We seem to have such an issue with carrot fly here. Still leaning towards beetroot and beans though…..we’ll see 😄
Hiya. Thanks for doing the challenge. You accomplished a lot. There's so many seeds to get in so a cheeky hour doing that is time well spent. That was a handy little shelving unit you got. I haven't got any potatoes in yet - eek! I built a pond in my last place and didn't have frog spawn in 8 years !!! I guess there weren't any frogs local to me. Happy gardening. Mags
I wasn’t sure if I was a bit early for the potatoes but I’ve come to realise that it isn’t necessary to be too rigid about when to plant things. If they go in early they grow slow, if they go in late they grow fast and catch up. I’ve just been sorting out my seeds today and I’m a bit worried! I think I’m going to need an industrial sized greenhouse to fit in everything I’m planning to grow 😩.

Thanks Tracey! It would have been a bit more interesting if the rain had stayed away and I could have varied what I was doing a bit more…..but the seeds needed planting!
