No, he wouldn't. He would be the same Maradona who you would know was a great player without bringing up stats. Thank goodness people weren't obsessed with stats when a genius like Zidane around. Otherwise, there'd be trolls on social media claiming how Kai Havertz was better Zidane for scoring a hat trick in the league cup against a team from the lower leagues. Maradona is great because I couldn't tell you how many goals he scored in his career, but yet, I know he could possibly be the best of all time. The fact that he wasn't padding his stats against Andorra, Tahiti, Gibraltar, Lithuania...is useless to me.

If he played today, he would be even bigger with today's rules of the game and would score at least 70 - 80 goals in a season. Can you imagine him being trained like Cristiano Ronaldo without any bad habits etc... ? Even his presence on the field would push his teammates to win the game. He was the most talented player world has ever seen and will never see again anyone like him. Everybody used to be enchanted when he got the ball on his left foot in a game. No other player in the history of soccer has attracted as much attention as he did. He was also a very good hearted man who used to help anyone who needed help. I am glad that the world and new generations are finally getting around to seeing it and appreciating it. He was God with any object he could juggle. Maradona could juggle a foozball, a sports bottle, an orange, a toy car, if he could balance it on his foot, he could juggle it.
