During the first few minutes of Avenger's Endgame where Nat was having a hologram meeting with some people, Okoye reported that there was an undersea earthquake that occured near their area. I wonder if that was Tiamut barely signaling its sudden weakening state due to the snap.... I know the snap delayed the emergence but it's a nice theory to ponder if that earthquake was something related to Tiamut.

Tiamut actually didn't want to destroy the planet. He could've easily done so at that point. By all accounts his emergence was slow. Apparently he actually wanted, if not helped the Eternals kill or put him to sleep so as to prevent him from killing Humanity. Reason being is because he could've easily defended himself from them if he wanted to, which is probably why Arishem didn't outright annihilate Humanity.

Science: in 2004, a 9.4 underwater earthquake in Sumatra resulted in a tsunami that killed nearly a quarter of a million people across the Indian Ocean.
That’s a little baby splash compared to what the emergence of this being would’ve unleashed. Tens of millions of people across all world coastal cities would have perished from mega tsunamis the size of skyscrapers. And that’s just the start.
This celestial (I forgot his name), is nearly the size of Earth itself. What do you think that would do to our planet’s gravitational field? The earth’s gravity would nearly double which means we would weigh twice as much as we do now. Imagine waking up suddenly weighing 300 pounds. That amount of weight, coupled with the pressurized air from the intensifying gravitational pull compressing our lungs and other major organs would result in the deaths of additional hundreds of millions of people.
How many of our manmade structures are built to withstand such additional weight? Millions more die from collapsing structures.
How many fault zones and supervolcanos are at a tipping point?
What we saw in the emergence of that celestial should have been the end of human civilization to say the least. In reality, that event would have almost certainly driven us to extinction, along with most species of the five kingdoms. It would have been a Permian/Triassic level event.
The Eternals simply saved the planet’s structure, virtually all life on earth would have perished.
