Sharon was supposed to be in Black Widow's role but due to the actress' scheduling conflict, they had to change the role.
Civil War romance would have made a lot more sense if Sharon was in BW's place as originally intended.
@@ohtrueyeahnah Okay I am going to clear up this confusion, They used multiverse theory with marvel, when steve in his timeline got frozen over by the ice he was never there in that timeline till he was awakened and had gone through everything, Including not being in anyway shape or form related to sharon carter.
Then when he time traveled he actually traveled to a parallelle timeline which wasn't the same timeline, meaning he hooked up with peggy as her spouse, and even in this timeline, It was peggys brother Michael who had sharon with another woman, so if you go by that logic, even in that regard despiter her being Steves neice in law she is in no way shape or form related to steve rogers by blood, therefore when he kissed her whether in the timeline before time travel or not, there is no timeline where the two were related by blood, only by marriage, people are just stupid.

Probably not as we see in civil War Peggy has something similar to Alzheimer’s that’s a gradual decline not a bamb ok this is happening thing, and one of the things they tell patients with it is to start to limit certain parts of their lives and not to wait till it’s to late so a lot of them will stop haveing phone conversations because the person they are talking to can’t read them and know if they are about to trigger something

With all of the otherworldly Avengers and Guardians films, this one is still my favorite MCU film. Guardians 1 is #2. 2014 was a fantastic MCU year, along with 2016.

If you notice the song that is playing in the background when Sharon tells Steve that he left is stereo on is the song that he dances with Peggy too at the end of endgame. It’s the very end of the song though.
I can’t state enough how much I absolutely love this movie. Every movie the Russo brothers directs is peak Marvel imo. They all have the perfect mix of grounded drama and the absurdity of Marvel’s fictional world.
You should consider watching their other masterpieces like cherry and the Gray man

With Starks money and connections, I am sure they figured out a way for Steve to assume a soldier I.D. who went MIA. Remember there were soldiers shot with the infinity weapons. Blasted them into nothing. He could slip into someone's life.

Sharon is Peggy's Great-NIECE, not her granddaughter. Steve going into the past to marry Peggy doesn't affect who Sharon's grandparents are.
It creates an alternate timeline. It is not the same universe.

Since Steve went back in time and married her Aunt Peggy, how was Sharon not creeped out flirting with her Uncle Steve? Aren't we led to believe that Steve going back to marry Peggy, was something that had happened in the previous timeline, and that's why Marvel was always cagey about who had been Peggy's husband.
They were quite a good-looking couple but still fundamentally wrong coz was peggys niece , someone steve had some strong feelings for despite not dating . But its obvious that they would have went on to be one had he came back ( as we see in avengers endgame) . So why would he date the same women niece , thats just weird , what is strve trying to do replce peggy with her . I think at the time of the film they hadnt written the whole time exchange thing but stil they should have kept sharon as a friend with whom he shared a bond coz she was peggys niece . They should have definitely made another character as the love interest.

At least in my experience, asking out someone you're interested in as payment for doing them a favor is one of the oldest tricks in the book. Given that Steve is offering his laundry machine as a pretext to ask Sharon out, he's definitely flirting. But given the lack of confidence in his voice when he states his price, it's understandable why it may not seem like flirting to some. And her "hopefully not too far" response is also a way of flirting since she's letting Steve know that she's not closing the door on potential future advances on his part. Whether these attempts at flirting are smooth or awkward will depend on who you ask.
