Peggy After Steve's Death

- This is a clip from my MCU Infinity Saga Supercut. If you're at all curious about it, check out my latest post here: / hello_this_is_hopefull...
This piece starts off with Steve Rogers sacrificing himself and plunging into the ice in 1945 with him and Peggy discussing how they need to go dancing, to then jump to a year later to see how Peggy is moving forward after Steve's sacrifice.
All credits for music appearing in this video go to composer Alan Silvestri.
For all of you saying "Steve didn't die though", that is true. You only know that though because you've seen the movie with that knowledge in mind from the very first scene. The point of the title is that, from the perspective of Peggy and the other characters in the world, Steve Rogers was assumed dead until he was found in 2011. To her, Howard, and everyone else, he was gone.

MCU Supercut Peggy after Steve’s disappearance.......
Yeah but he is a national hero. What's the U.S. Army saying ? "Nobody left behind" ? That's inconcevable that the U.S. Army would rather let his body freeze in the north pole, than at least bringing him back in his country for national funeral. It's the frigging north pole, we are strolling out there since the 19th century.
@@thomasbernard8922 In the beginning of the movie a guy asks "how come nobody spotted it before?" (asking about the plane). And another guy responds that it's because "the landscape keeps changing all the time". So even if the U.S. army did sent people to get his body back (which they probably did) the landscape is the reason they never actually found him.
Cap. Did not die
@@thomasbernard8922 Glaciers are constantly moving, shifting, building up and melting. They didn’t have any coordinates as a starting point. Oceans are a lot vaster than people tend to imagine. Just think - There were hundreds of witnesses to the sinking of the Titanic, and telemetry data was radioed to other vessels. There was a huge interest in locating it, treasure hunters and wealthy families, etc. But it sunk in 1912 and wasn’t found until 1985. Imagine looking for a dead body in a vessel several orders of magnitude smaller, that could be pretty much anywhere, imbedded in ice or on the ocean floor... A veritable needle in a haystack.
few moments after this, Peggy arrives at her home and would be surprised to find Steve knocking on her front door.
Real tho
Only in another timeline though. You Cant change the past if you Follow the rules of endgame
Melli Hä I think this is an exception because it was part of the original timeline for him to go back. It was mentioned that Peggy was married but the husband was never shown, so I think it was actually Steve but she wasn’t allowed to tell anyone
@@alisinatehrani8576 yeah but After endgame there is no exception. So there has to be one timeline where Peggy died of old age without being married to steve and one timeline where he went to her and they married.
Melli Hä fair enough, I still think it was a part of both timelines but I respect your opinion
While Peggy was reading Steve’s file, it is shown that Steve’s birthday is July 4th; he was destined to lead America from the start :’)

It's interesting to see how dedicated Howard was to finding Steve, and possibly how depressed he was to never find him. I wonder if that built into Howard's need to help others later and his obsession that pulled him away from Tony.
Wow I never even thought of that
In the Agent Carter TV show, it was Peggy who convinced Howard to stop searching for Steve, so no. He wasn't depressed that he couldn't find Steve.

@The Blo0P yh but he was in the war bro im sure he wasnt too panicked after all he jumped on what he thought was a live grenade to save everyone
Rhodey: “Why did you have to crash the plane anyway?”
Steve: “For the plot”
Rhodey: *looks down at his legs* “Yea, been there”
I'm sure if I remember correctly Red Skull and cap said how the plane was on a guided course so it would have fixed its trajectory had he jumped out instead of manually controlling it downward.
to be fair, he could but he would certainly die from the fall i mean it's solid ground where he crashed not water
Captain America First Avenger: No other choice but to crash the plane.
Captain America Winter Soldier: Jumps out of a jet without a parachute.
At least he learned something😅
Its not that he thought he would’ve died but its because it was auto-piloted so if he jumped out it would’ve turned back and kept going on course so someone had to steer it manually or it would all be for nothing.
Kyronthegoat there is no way for plane to correct its trajectory when its seconds away from ploughing into the ground. He could have just jumped out at the last minute.
Plotholes I tell you
In to the ocean. Dingus
So they were able to find out tessaract but not captain.
Yes cause it melted down in ocean
And they dont know the location where plane crashed
well he stated that they were following the energy the cube gave off, hence why he said "but theres no trace of wreckage and the energy signature stopped here"
Not really Howard Stark kept looking for him until eventually they had to call off the search but one thing I will say if Howard Stark was alive to this day and he saw Captain America his oldest friend he probably would have been proud to see him
Sohail Kazi : The Tessaract gives off a huge energy reading making it much easier to find.
1. Tessaract gave off a signature they could follow
2. The Tessaract fell out of (ie though) the plane long before the plane crashed, so it was likely hundreds of miles away from the crash site. Even today, investigators have a hard time finding a plane crash in the ocean, even with blackbox transponders.
I love how Howard Stark, a guy obsessed with new technology, basically waves away the tesseract so he can keep looking for Steve. The relationship between HS and SR really sets up IM's attitudes in the later films.
Definitely. It probably had a lot to do with making Tony the person he was and creating the innate hostility he feels for Cap. Can you imagine all your young life your Father comparing you to a person that you can't possibly emulate? Then to make matters worse, the guy who your Dad has been going on and on about for years comes back from the "dead". Still it made for an interesting dynamic between Cap and Tony and the movies would not have been the same without Tony and Steve's love/hate relationship.

There’s an online “FanFiction” story entitled “The Infinity Stones Return: Captain America’s Final Adventure” which written in the form of a heavily detail plot-summary for an eight-episode mini-series detailing how Steve Rogers/Captain America returned the six Infinity Stones at the conclusion of the _Endgame_ film.
The first episode takes place before Captain America (hereafter called “Cap” for short) begins his journey, and shows Professor Hulk rebuilding the time machine and Scott Lang/Antman volunteering for the initial test run. Afterward, Doctor Strange explains why the stones have been placed in the briefcase and reveals that the Tesseract, Orb, and Scepter have been shrunken down to fit in Cap pockets and will be re-enlarged after he arrives in the past to re-contain their respective stones at the proper time.
In the second episode, Cap visits the Ancient One in 2012 who uses the combined power of the six stones in the briefcase to cast future-dated spells that will make the 2012-2014 timelines reset themselves once the time-heisted stones have been returned to their proper places. Afterwards, she transports to the roof of the New York sanctum where she gives Hulk the original version of the Time Stone after first putting on a performance act of initial resistance and surprise to ensure he understands to importance of returning the stones afterward. She then reclaims the returned-version from Cap’s briefcase.
In the third episode, after the Mind Stone is put back into the re-enlarged Scepter and given back to the Hydra goons, the first timeline-reboot spell takes effect and returns Loki and the Tesseract back into custody while erasing everyone’s memory of the wayward events. Nevertheless, the Ancient One then briefly senses the timestamp signature of the variant Loki just before he is captured by the TVA, leaving her and Cap to wonder if the villain will ever return.
The fourth episode has Cap shooting forward to 2013 where he re-teams with the Ancient One to return the Reality Stone and Thor’s hammer to Asgard. The timeline is then likewise reset afterward to erase everyone’s memories.
The fifth episode has Cap shooting forward again to 2014 where he and Ancient One return the Power Stone/Orb to the temple on Morag after first making a brief but necessary side-trip to Knowhere. The sixth episode then has Cap being sent to Vormir where, in order to return the Soul Stone, he must first contend with a temporarily freed Red Skull and a temporarily resurrected Natasha Romanoff.
The start of the seventh episode then reveals that, with the two 2014-stones returned, the timeline has also now been reset so that everyone’s memories have been erased and that exact duplicate/replacement versions of Thanos, Gamora, and Nebula have been created to take the place of the original versions who jumped forward to 2023. Before then travelling back to 1970 though, Cap first reveals to the Ancient One that Doctor Strange had previously placed a charmed spell over Cap’s aura so that no one in the past would be able to recognize who he really is unless he wants them to. Hence, Peggy would be able to see Cap in his true form when he returns to her whereas everyone else would see him as somebody different. This would then enable him to easily change his name and assume the identity of a former G.I. whose unit was rescued by Captain America during the war as per the reference in the _Winter Soldier_ film. This also then explains why the younger Cap didn't recognize his older self at Peggy's funeral during the _Civil War_ movie.
In the last part of this seventh episode, Cap returns to 1970 and puts the re-enlarged Tesseract containing the Space Stone back in the vault, then proceeds up to Hank Pym’s lab to put back the four replenished vials of Pym Particles. Upon arriving in the lab however, he is unexpectedly intercepted by the TVA. The final episode then has Cap being recruited by the TVA to fight the Red Guardian in 1984 before being allowed to return to 1946 and live happily ever after.

There’s a theory that Steve didn’t jump out on purpose because he was so anguished by the loss of Bucky Barnes. This could also be Steve just didn’t think he’d survive anyway and decided to do what was the easiest way. Since if he jumped out he’d probably freeze to death or starve to death.

Still find it hard to believe they found a tiny stone in such a huge ocean before they found Steve, whose aircraft could've sent tracker coordinates to Agent Carter/Howard Stark as clues to narrow down his possible location in an ice continent.
Did you not listen.? He said energy signature fron cube ends there
Now I imagine Steve in this position saying "Carter? Carter?" After she died in MoM😭
that's a different carter, not the carter in what if nor Earth-616 (as if it's not obvious enough)
@@wizzell its earth-199999 actually, the 616 is just a homage reference to the comics
The shot of the commandos toasting gets me. No one knows the sacrifice Cap made except them. Well, at least at that bar.
I just love Steves Team in that moment. That one line "To the captain" with such sadness in it, while everyone makes party around them. Damn it brings me to tears. There is just that feeling "We won, but at what cost". His group really reffers for me to Steve's Quote in the first "Avengers" Movie: "I wake up, they said we won. They didn't say what what we lost". Man. The feels.
I'm here on Christmas Eve 🤧
So?
Don’t you mean CHRIStmas eve
Mega Gengar 11 wdym?
Max Derp Chris Evans plays captain america so its a play on words.
If you have carefully listen to the bgm while the aircraft was sinking in the ice that same bgm plays in avengers endgame when cap gave his sheild to Sam. This bgm tells us that Steve has gone and would never return😔
Still hits the feels
Tommy Lee Jones was just brilliant in this movie! One of the best "supports" in all MCU movies.
Lmao
Captain America from Endgame ended up going to the place that Peggy told him to meet her at for their dance. He even said that she owed him a dance in the Winter Soldier. After their first dance, they ended up getting married and had children. That's why her husband was never in the pictures beside her bed and only her children
what about sprouse ive heard agent carter fans say endgame destroyed her character
Damn, when the plane starts sinking, that hit me like a truck.
Broke my heart when she said “Steve?”😔😭
did she ever truly move on tho i know about the controversal time travel in endgame i also know about her relationship with sprouse
Howard felt pain, Steve was gone. He'd be thrilled to know his son Tony helped him.
Every good man deserves a peggy
Now imagine this scene
And the theme song of Titanic
Aww man that would be sadder
anyone here in 2019??!! DECEMEBER!>?>???? ANYONE HERE!????
Geo Boy me
Hello
Meh to
Muah
Hello there!
The way they did it was grand when they finally got to have their dance but i was dying to see him walk in the door so to speak and see her reaction at him alive
i gotta say, the continuity in Marvel is amazing (some misses here and there) but otherwise... goddamn.. 11+ years of continuity... must be hard to keep track of everything

0:12 holy shit that view of the ground coming closer and closer signalling the inevitable fate is damn scary

Steve Rogers is a true hero and legend!
Well, the dudes are assholes, but we know it's going to be all good as Peggy will be one of the founders of SHIELD and a legend in her own right. Although, there is the matter of Hydra infiltrating's SHIELD under her and Howard's watch.
Yeah but they also didn't really start fully infiltrating SHIELD until after Peggy retired. They literally had to wait HER out which shows that she would've taken them down if she had known.
@@lilchaos9212 Hydra was secretly a part of SHIELD since it's inception. Armin Zola was recruited by SHIELD immediately after WW II with other German scientists in Operation Paperclip. Natasha knows of this operation when she and Steve are talking to Zola's consciousness in Winter Soldier. During this conversation, Zola reveals that immediately upon recruitment, HYDRA grew within SHIELD like a "beautiful parasite". He says that Hydra had been creating international crisis's for 70 years all while being within SHIELD. As he's saying this you see video and images of tragic historical events which were all manufactured by HYDRA while secretly working within SHIELD. If someone got close to finding out about Hydra's infiltration of SHIELD they were killed. If you believe Agents of SHIELD is MCU canon, it's also revealed that Agent Daniel Sousa was killed when he began to suspect that Hydra was within the ranks of SHIELD. All of this happened under the watch of Peggy and Stark. Peggy was oblivious to Hydra's infiltration until her dying days.
Fell in love with Hayley Atwell in this movie! Such good acting! 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😍😍😭😭😭
the theme/ background music for cap has always been my favorite in any marvel movie and it always will be
"and you couldn't jump out the plane BEFORE it crashed?"
We badly need a show that shows Steve life during time travel
Just realized that the music played after the war is the same track played when Steve gives Sam the Shield.
the fact that howard kept serching even though he had no trace after he found the teseract makes me smile always
This always makes me cry
If he didnt crash , he might have been tony stark’s godfather and a bigger role in his life
If he didnt crash , he might have been tony stark’s godfather and a bigger role in his life
yknow the fact that steve got older and visited the others the hand off the shield means he stayed in this timeline when he went back to be with peggy
You can see on Peggy's face she's heartbroken.😞
I forget how good this franchise used to be. Can't believe we went from this to the mess they release now.
It's the same soundtrack used in the scene where Cap gives Sam his Shield
man i wish they had more screentime together ;(
I bawled like baby when she finally got her dance with him.
Avengers fans turn it
⤵️ blue
Im colorblind
Bruh
Bruh
im the 666th like
Lol
0:45 the same music plays when he passed down the shield to sam
She loved Steve even in the very beginning when he didn’t become Cap yet, and way before he became the buff Steve.
