Well said. I’d like to do a survey of the media pundits to find out exactly WHICH clubs they think Moyes could or should go to and/or which clubs would have him. I bet every club they name would be in the bottom third of Premier League or lower. Even then I’ve heard some pundits say that his style wasn’t good enough for Brentford.

The Hammers fans have the right to say how they feel.
The problem with Moysie is that he always reverts back to his anti football low block tatctics and there is no need for that with the kind of player materials( Bowen,Kudus,Alvarez,Paquetta,Mavropanos,Antonio) he has at his disposal.
Yesterday against the Villians he bottled it in the second half takikg off Antonio as early as in the 65th minute and brought on Ben Johnson whilst Danny Ings was on the bench as a striker.
His changes and tactics are very questionable.
Believe you me i saw a strong West Ham side in the first half dominating Aston Villa in all sectors of the game.
Now thats how you play. If he plays on the front foot his team doesnt concede any goals.
But the stuipid lowblock system is shipping in a lot of goals.
A defensive minded coach that cant defend?
So please kindly allow the West Ham Fans to voice out their opinion

@@borachon26 i beg to differ. Look at Aston Villa. They have been transformed by Unai Emery and are fighting for CL spot.
Look at how the media bashed Villa Fans for saying that Steven Gerrard is not the man to lead them to success..
They wanted a change but the media told them to shut up and be happy what they have
Stevie G was later on sacked and Unai Emery came and lead them to 7th Place.
      Now they are fourth placed.
      Thats what we call progress.
Moyes has done well and we respect him for that and are grateful but going forward he is not the man for the future.
Last year West Ham was battling relegation all season with the likes of Paquetta,Bowen,Antonio and Soucek. They won an european trophy they were expected to win so no cause for alarm here.
But with introduction of Kudus and Alvarez the team is well balanced now and is hungry for more.
I can bet my house with you that with these crop of current players West Ham have a better and progressive manager will take the Hammers to Top 5.

they don't just look at the handball, we know this when hearing other decisions when Howard Webb does the show on the most controversial decisions from mic'd up refs. They look at all the incidents - offside etc. I agree it should just be on the handball, but the last 1 was subjective which required the ref to make that decision from the screen so that means they have to check the rest before they send him to the screen, as if it's offside no need to send the ref to the screen for the handball. It's slower and a pain. Just doing it in wrong order, should check handball first - if subjective then check offside, if not it's sorted and state handball direct goal or whatever

    • @danielpurcell1500
      @danielpurcell1500 Před 2 měsíci

Sort of my point, if it's clear and obvious they know what they are looking for because it was clear and obvious. Why do they check everything else? It seems like at points they are falling over themselves to find something to disallow goals.

  • @spyintheskyuk
    @spyintheskyuk Před 2 měsíci +1

It’s really about looking beneath the headline superficiality and when you do you see that the evidence and the stats show a very difference and far less stable picture. We very nearly got relegated last season because Moyes incompetently failed to recognise the growing evidence of the previous season and a half. He seems to have learned nothing from that, as Souness pointed out the stats are bad reading mostly putting us in bottom 6 for example most shots against we are in the bottom 3. You can outrun the stats for a while (it’s how the mathematics behind gambling works) but in the end it catches you up and with yet another big rebuild this Summer required (3rd in a row for a Manager after 4 years of ‘building’ stability) our best player leaving, a player without whom our form deteriorates alarmingly by the way, only Tim Steidten gives me any confidence that we may bring in Players of the type and number we require. If he goes and Moyes stays I fear another return to unforeseen struggle. Sadly in this Country so called commentators rarely see the real weakness in matters till it strikes and certainly on this subject and indeed football pundits generally that is very much in evidence. 7th? Let’s see where the team is when it really counts at the end of the season and not for the first time Moyes one eyed stubbornness did himself no favours in Jan when bringing in the quality left winger that we were offered could cost us dear.

Almost all other sports have natural breaks in play even rugby. Before VAR or at least its first season both goals probably get given, especially the Antonio goal as it had to be deliberate handball back then, Souchek’s is probably given. West Ham fans have short memories. Pellegrini was meant to play "the west ham way" and look how that turned out. Moyes won't be appreciated until after he's gone. Very few managers can succeed like he has under a chairman like Sullivan. You'll see that after he's gone and the next sexy football foreign coach flops or gets hamstrung by Sullivan.

The ref and VAR official have their careers on the line. It’s easy for us to say it’s blatant but even if they see it obvious from one angle, they now have to go through every angle. I hate VAR but I also feel really bad for the officials. Even if they get it right in their minds, we’ll still question it and spin it in a a way that it calls them out.
5 mins is too long but I really can’t blame them. It’s the people that make these rules that need to sort this rubbish out.

It does matter how long it takes because it’s a bad customer experience. There needs to be a limit on it. If it takes longer than 1 minute then the referee decision stands. I personally think limit VAR to only ball crossing the goal and obvious Maradona or Henry handball. It’s good people like Jeff don’t run the game. Absolutely clueless and weak how the VAR is being run at the moment.

West Ham fan here - we are not unhappy with league position and EL QF, anyone would be stupid to say that. But there are MANY issues with Moyes, that results cover up.
    - Lack of squad rotation is a MAJOR issue. He has been here 4 years now, so this is his squad and the fact he plays around 12/13 players out of a 20 ish man squad is a joke.
    - There is a Plan A and that is about it. low block counter attacking football is Moyes' bread and butter and against certain teams, it works! but to play like that against Burnley, at HOME... is just not acceptable. Fans that pay good money to go and watch the games deserve more than negative tactics that see our players have around 25% of the ball and undertake 15-20 shots each game.
    - Neglects the youth. this is terrible considering we have one of the best youth academy going at the moment. Most modern clubs are progressing youth and either selling them for large profit, or getting use out of them in the 1st team. He has not progressed anyone in his tenor (Rice was already in the 1st team).
So to summarise, we are not ungrateful and spoiled because on the face of it, the league position is great. But the reasons above highlight why he is not going to progress us any further and why we should shake hands at the end of the season and walk away.

It wasn't the right decision the rules state if a player handles a ball and scores it's disallowed but soucek didn't score bowen did so the rule would revert to was the body made bigger due to the hand ball it wasn't goal should stand

No the law states if a player moves their arm towards the ball it is a deliberate hand ball. They made the right call. Replays clearly showed him swing his arm towards the ball

The 5 minutes they took to look at we could of been playing the game and there would of been a clear winner. West ham have had more goals and points taken away from west ham is it hand ball or ball to arm its not good

Bianca your wrong the majority want him out we are not saying he hasn't done a decent job but its so hard to watch his football week in week out. Why is it ok for spurs to want conte and mourhinio out 2 top class managers who are way better than moyes but they dont like the style of football but we can't want moyes out because of his style of football and by the way we don't want him sacked we just dont want him to get a new contract.

Moyes has done a fantastic job in first saving the hammers from relegation after the Pellegrini project and then went onto win West Ham a first major honour is 40 odd years. Moyes should step down at the end of the season with his head held high and watch West Ham return to relegation fodder season in season out from then on. 🍿🥤

We were 17th when moyes took over from pelligrini having played 19 games. Moyes achieved same number of points as pelligrini for his 19 games. We finished 16th. Over the next 3 years moyes has spent over £500m. We have the oldest and smallest squad in premier league.
