Genghis Khan Was A Genius

  • Genghis Khan was undoubtedly a remarkable leader and military strategist who founded the Mongol Empire and conquered vast territories throughout Asia and Eastern Europe. While the term "genius" can be subjective and open to interpretation, there are certainly many aspects of Genghis Khan's leadership and military tactics that can be considered highly effective and successful.
Some of the factors that contributed to Genghis Khan's success include his ability to unify disparate tribes and clans under his leadership, his strategic use of cavalry and mobility on the battlefield, and his incorporation of conquered peoples into his empire rather than simply subjugating or exterminating them.
Additionally, Genghis Khan was known for his innovative military tactics, such as his use of feigned retreats to lure enemies into vulnerable positions and his development of a sophisticated messenger and communication system that allowed him to coordinate his armies across vast distances.
Overall, while opinions may differ on whether Genghis Khan was a "genius," there is no denying that he was an exceptionally skilled and effective leader who left an indelible mark on history.

I mean, the mongol horse archer tactics broke out of the steppes at a time when there was really no way to counter it aside from hiding behind walls, which was highly looked down upon by them. and by looked down upon i mean the cities that resisted were razed in the worst ways. not to downplay his personal attributes but a lot of what made mongols so effective was a perfect storm, much of which coming to Genghis from his culture, not the other way around. throughout history only the toughest survived out on the Steppes.

The only people who potentially are better than him are Alexander the Great and Napoleon Bonaparte. All 3 have the case for the best conquerer of all-time, but I think Alexander has the best case for it. With a small Macedonian force, he was able to conquer the entire Persian Empire, which literally was THE entire world at that point in human history. Look into the Battle of Gaugamela, which was the decisive battle in the Macedonian conquest of Persia. Alexander had a force which was around half or less than the Persians, yet still decisively won.
Military schools today still teach techniques Alexander the Great came up with.
