    I really appreciate you taking the time to film this job as you were doing it. This will help me completely with mine.

    I was able to get the whole assembly out without messing with the steering knuckle off. It definitely took some patience but I got it.

      Yes, you’re right. I was able to do the same. Getting it back up there was a little harder.

    Excellent. Determining to work on your own vehicles is a good thing!

    Thanks for the video! The hole for mine is oblong as well. good to know I can weld it up and get a bushing kit instead of replacing the entire assembly. Thanks!

    And a side note it sure helps taking the front seat out to comfortably work under there. Thank you for your video! It definitely helped me!

    Wish you would list steps to reinstall. Also what and how to disassemble and remove the bracket. Not sure about the steering linkage.

    Did the steering shaft have to be disconnected/moved out of the way in order
    for the pedal assembly to come out?

    Hi, I am trying to help my dad order this part to replace it. Any website or key words for the kit I can use to search it. Thank you in advance.

    If the assembly hasn't rounded out. Can you just remove the 18mm Nut on both sides and remove the bushing and shaft without removing the entire pedal
    assembly?

      I tried that years ago. I was able to get the two closest to the clutch replaced like that. Wouldn’t waste the time trying to do it that way.

      You can do it, it's a pain in the ass. Honestly itll take about the same time however you decide to do it lol

    Before you done the Heim joint, did you really have to slam down on pedal so it would trigger the safety switch? Thanks!

    • @Satatic
      @Satatic  Před rokem

      There is a cover on top of the safety switch that breaks. Every time I mess with it, I wrap 2 zip ties around it to keep the cover in place.

    Quick question, did your brake pedal ever not want to work at random times? I know my bushings need replaced aswell I'm just curious if that's the cause of me hitting the brake and the pedal not going down

    • @Satatic
      @Satatic  Před rokem

      Maybe your hydro boost. When mine was leaking, the pedal would get rock hard if the power steering got low. Watched a CZcams video and rebuilt mine.

    Why can't you just drill a hole through the shaft and install a cotter pin to keep it from popping off?

    • @Satatic
      @Satatic  Před 2 lety

      I cant remember why, it was years ago. Maybe that could be done though.

    • @afpreppie04
      @afpreppie04 Před 2 lety +2

      @@Satatic That's what I did just last week. If the bushing is gone it will have a lot of play still with just the cotter pin. Someone on ebay sells bronze bushings to go in there along with the pin.

    • @jeffguntle5404
      @jeffguntle5404 Před 2 lety

      I tried that and cotter key got bent

    • @johndowe7003
      @johndowe7003 Před rokem +1

      Grind the old pin off then stick a bolt through it. Weld the bolt head so you only need one wrench. I used a bolt and a piece of copper tubing as a bushing...

    How was it operating that you noticed the problem?

    • @Satatic
      @Satatic  Před 2 lety +1

      Hard to get in gear. Grinding shifts. Pedal didn't 'feel' right either.

    Is there anyway that I can use a 92 assembly on my 91 ?
