"main job" is different for each manager/tactics. the main job of a false 9 is to create space and the main job of a traditional 9 is to score. to say "apart from his main job as a striker" is just showing the lack of tactical knowledge in modern football. and no, im not a fan.. this is coming from someone who wants both of those teams to fail lol

They had enough with De Bruyne, Gundogan, Sterling, Mahrez etc. They got a number 9 who's good at scoring goals and they're still moaning. The funniest thing is - what they said about City two seasons ago, they're saying now about Arsenal and Gabriel Jesus. These pundits should not be listened to and their only goak is to generate clicks, likes, by calling a a treble winner a league two striker. For that reason I feel strikers like Lautaro Martínez, Harry Kane, and Oli Watkins are better this season but that does not mean Haaland is not world class. His contributions are critical in City being so dominant. His presence alone in causing a threat and luring defenders creates many goals other City players score. He fits perfectly into the City system because he does the best at finishing chances created by his midfielders that other strikers would not be as good at.

Although , he can improve in many ways ( dribbling, passing) he does his job to score goals exceptionally well and he does not deserve all this unecessary slander - put some respect on his name - his job is not easy- don't act as if anyone can do it because they can't.

I mean, lets be honest here, the big factor for a striker like Haaland is his conversion rate, and if we compare it to other top level strikers like Kane or mbappe, even Salah, it leaves something to be desired. It needs to be ON POINT. Kane and Mbappe are able to playmake as well as score goals, that makes them useful in other areas and Salah is good at opening up play, but Haaland? Off the ball he is not as useful, thus his finish ability needs to be absoloutly on point. I have watched his games this season and he has simply missed so many sitters It has made me wonder if he is truly worth the price city paid for him. The amount of chances city have given him that conversion rate should be higher.
Last season he was phenominal, that cannot bedenied, but is that a sign of a good season or a good player? I have my doubts personally.
Now I am not saying he is *bad* because i don't think that, he is not a bad striker, but he is in comparison to what people believe he is and compared to other top strikers right now. A tier, not S tier.

He is a striker, he doesn't need to do everything else, his job is to score goals. And he is one of the very best at that. People chirp way too much and compare him to others, he is Haaland and he plays like he want to and does very well doing it.
Don't listen to people on tv or from the media, they have no fucking clue or a proper idea of what they think and mean. They say shit they don't mean, they say shit for view and don't mean half the shit they say. Make up your own opinion and don't care for others opinion

I really want to like Haaland, I just haven't ever seen him play well, and I try to only base my opinions on what I see myself. Apart from drawing defenders, I haven't seen it. For such a big man he fit inside Rudiger's pocket very nicely. I've only seen 6 games plus highlights the past year. It seems I tuned in at the wrong moment with his injuries... but I'll keep watching and hoping I see what you're talking about.

I am not a Haaland or Man CIty fan so I am indifferent but from what I have seen he sucks he scores a lot of goals when KDB is there when KDB is not there he is pretty much useless this was the case at the beginning of the season when KDB was injured and he could not score a goal to save his life I am not dragging the poor guy but maybe Pep needs to bench him until his game improvses because right now he sucks and talking about his size I mean Zlatan is the same height as him and was able to be impactful in big games not to mention take Sweden to the World Cup I dont think using his size as an excuse makes any sense

Haaland is the target. If you play against ManCity, it is necessary to, first, take Haaland out of the game. Then they have 5 other threats that you can't target specifically. Furthermore, taking Haaland out, creates space for the other players. Even if he can't play with his team, he certainly disrupts the enemy defense, just by being there.
Plus, the way Haaland plays is rather unspectacular. He is fast, big, strong, and is good at shooting. Thats why he scores a lot of his chances. People tend to forget how many chances even the best strikers miss out on. Haaland doesn't fail a lot, but also isn't someone that creates a chance out of nothing.

Halland is still overrated. He still has no skill like Kane or Ronaldo or Mbappe or Messi. He can’t create any chances. What makes him good is his finishing and that is it. He has such a good team that just feeds him the ball where he can just easily score. If he were on a different team there’s no way he could do anything significant since no one boule be able to feed him balls. Overall he is a really good finisher but lacks skill

I think theres a few questions to ask ourselves
    1) Could Man City have as much success without Haaland? Remember when Pep said, "we cannot replace him" (referring to Kun Agüero)?
    2) Would you rather have a striker who scores 3-5 goals but only against lower-level teams, or a striker who consistently scores 1-2 goals against all teams, including big teams?
    3) If Man City had lost the league to Arsenal by 1 point, do you think Haaland would be safe from criticism, and the internet would not compile a series of misses highlighting all the times Haaland could have saved Man City in big games?
    4) Would Haaland score as many goals without Incredible playmakers like Foden, Bernardo Silva and of course KDB ?
*note that these are just legit questions and not necessarily my final opinion

hes an old school striker who plays as the last guy to touch the ball in offensive moves. he could be seen as a luxury as he isnt in most build ups. his strengths are his speed and power, he can manhandle defenders. he is very dangerous. Man city players may see him as a luxury. i think there is friction in the dressing room about his commitment to build up play. i reckon they are now trying to play without him but even then his presence creates opportunities for other players. defenders cannot leave him unguarded. my criticism is that he is starting to miss alot of chances. that could be down to a lack of confidence especially if players are critical of his team play.

To say he's just 'not respected' (as the football player he is), imo is incorrect and is a claim only likely to made by fans of where he's currently at.. in this case Manchester City.. I'm pretty sure no-one who knows anything at all about the level of football he's playing at is saying he's not a good enough striker or whatever.. Haaland is clearly an OUTSTANDING goalscorer.. but that also doesn't mean we've all got to automatically bow and ignore the things we believe that he DOESN'T do so greatly on the pitch (we'll leave that to the City fans, lol)...⚽ 🤷‍♂️
