Where I disagree is the idea that the Abjuration Wizard can’t do major damage/round.
Current Abjuration/Warlock build (11 Wiz, 1 Warlock is the plan). STR 18 (bull strength clothes, Dex 18 (gloves), Con 16, Wis 12 Int 20, Chr 8.
Race: Githyanki
Tricked out w/bonus psychic-Gith specific items.
Wields Silver Sword (yes I used the Command “trick” on Voss but Laezal uses the Soul Stealer or Incan swap)
Using the Resonator Stone all the Psychic damage doubles and you can focus on Phantasmal Killer (and if you want you can take the Bard Initiate feat and get Viscous Mockery) or anything else that does Psychic damage. I do decent melee damage (especially when Hasted or using rhe Blood Lust elixir.
It’s a blast.

Tempest Cleric (2)
Draconic Bloodline Sorcerer (3)
Abjuration Wizard (7)
Make sure you get Armour of Agathys. Cold & Lightning for the win.
I'm a little reluctant to use this on Gale. He doesn't have draconic ancestry.

Do you have recommended gear in Acts 1, 2 and 3?
Yes.
Act 1: Melf's First Staff from Blurg in mushroom colony (acid spell and increase DC). Necklace of Elemental Augmentation from the Gith's Inquisitor Chamber (bonus damage for elemental cantrips).
Act 2: A robe and a hat from the blood mage in Moonrise Tower (both increase DC). Gloves from Waning Moon (inflict noxious fume). Callouse Glow Ring in Gauntlet of Shar, nextdoor to Balthazar (bonus damage).
Act 3: The dragon goddess staff from the mage tower, beneath Lorroakan (acid spells and noxious fume and bonus damage and DC).
Very “cool” build.
Why dont u go for int instead of char? If u wont, u could use at least the head piece that stablish ur int in 17.... But dont get the point on invest in char
To be able to deal some damage starting from lv1. It starts as a sorcerer.
@@MaxxiePlaying Aren't the spells you learn from levelling wizard and the scrolls scaling with Int? I'm sure you can respec or just suffer the few points of damage early on by using INT.
I also chose Charisma because I want it to be good in conversations. It's not devoting the spell slots for offensive Wizard things anyway.
