Raphael must have been pissed beyond human comprehension when you decided to take a fucking nap right in the middle of the fight.
😂 I hope he was!
This was a much more technical fight. It looks like fun.
And of course he has 666 hp.
It took quite some planning, but I think it worked out quite alright!
I just love that he got 666 hp! Haha. Feels a bit cheesy but it's on point for him.
Man!! learning so many tricks from these videos! Keep 'em coming!
\o/
25 rounds of combat. One must imagine friendly lich happy. Also love that bloodlust elixir bug not proccing with cull the weak 🙄
Wow, did not realize it was 25 rounds! You're extremely correct with that I'm happy! 😂
I was really stressed when it did not proc at the start. Jesh. Just glad that the opener worked otherwise it would had been bye bye.
The thing I'm most happy with though is Sanctuary and Angelic Sleep 🤣
damn, you made this fight look like a walk in park. your build is impressive and so are your battle strategies. hats off to you
Thank you so much 🫶. I made the build to specifically solo Myrkul but it turns out it is really solid.
theres something amusing about absolutely decimating a man who decided to go out of his way to say he doesnt like kittens, Tiamat herself was praying on his downfall
Indeed! There shall be no kitten hate 🖤
This is so methodical. Most fights I see rely on large burst to take him out quickly.
Really cool to see a different approach to Raph. Good on you!
Thank you =). I really enjoyed this fight! Super happy with how it turned out, specially the Sanctuary + Angelic Sleep 😅
16:08 What a flex, lol.
22:52 "SHUT UP!" Hahaha!
Glad Hunger of Hadar made an appearance. Well done!
Thank you! I'm happy you enjoyed it. =)
Edit: HoH is such an amazing spell. Going to be rough to live without it!
GG. Nice.
And as always, spells are amazing. Circle of death go brrr
Thanks! Really happy with how the fight turned out!
@@FriendlyLich you're a good strategist.
@GentleBreeze-72 You're too kind! Thanks!
@@FriendlyLich nooooo I'm envious 😭
The music here is amazing, not played this far myself so it was a pleasant surprise!
I think it's the best score in the game. Dramatic and epic!
Raphael proves he is a real Disney villain! The back and forth duet between Raphael and Hope is amazing.
@@The_Real_Fomsie Haha yes! Which Disney villain would you say he's similar?
@@FriendlyLich Ariel, little mermaid.
One day, I will play a melee-lock combo, but as always it will be a half-orc :D
It is probably the better race selection actually! Specially with so many ways to get crits on demand!
@@FriendlyLich Oh didnt even think of that. I just love the idea of a charasmatic half-orc
Make sure to combine with great old one for crit sinergy
@@iforgotmykeys666 Thank you, will do!
I love it! Nicely done!
Thank you! Cheers!
Very nicely done!
Thank you very much!
Alternate title: "Bullying The Devil In His Own House" :D. Great fight, as always. Sucks that the cleric of war charge insists on going before second action attack (like from Haste), though. Looks like pairing it with a damage dealing cantrip is an absolute must.
Hah, I like your alternative title! :D It does suck, would be nice if it was possible to toggle. However, it is possible to plan around it as you say with a damage cantrip (or spell for that matter). Just stinks that you're forced to use it.
Amazing fight, my favorite boss in the game. Nice one!
Thank you! Mine too! Just love that character and specially the boss music!
Awesome! 🖤
Thanks! 😄
I just wanted to comment that the thumbnail makes it look like Raphael is going "Dayum, I wanna tap that" while the knight of Tiamat is thinking about how to best hit him and I find that hilarious.
Edit: Ok I watched it now and holy crap the Sanctuary + Angelic Repose was delicious. Also you playing The Power at the end was amazing.
🤣
Thank you very much =) Keep Calm and Play the Power
Yeeees! the best way to do this fight is fresh out da bank with every scroll bomb arrow and consumable possible! Nicely done!
Thank you! =)
Great fight! Solo Raphael is a true accomplishment
Thank you! I was giggling when I used Sanctuary and Sleep Potion :D
@7:29 That's the War priest charge bug I asked about a while back. You clearly had more actions/attacks but it prioritized your war charges instead. They really need to make war charges and awakened a toggle...
I remember that and you're 100% correct. It's possible to work around but can be frustrating as hell at times :). Big agree on it being possible to toggle!
Every single time I see someone about to fight Raphael, they always pick the Dialogue option about him being bad at sex 😂
Poor Raphael, can't be easy 😅
Poor Harleep, Can't be easy wanting sex all the time and your master is done in half a thrust.
@@Sir_ShadowZ__ Mmm!
Haha fantastic! Well played mate..
i must say you made me love hunger of hadar.. im using it now in my honour run..
Thank you! Glad to hear it! You trying to find good choke points with hunger of hadar as well? :D
Haha yeah.. kinda wanna throw spikegrowth into it aswell.. if they stack.. i really want sporedruid to work
@@Drakkman1978 That would be cool! Did you find out if it works?
@@FriendlyLich not on the same character tho..since both hunger and spike is concentration.. sadly
I dont think 7 levels of druid is enough to get the good nuke spells cloudkill is a lvl 5
@@Drakkman1978 Yea, was thinking in a party but you're correct!
Good day ! Magnificent, very competent fight! Thanks for the video! However, it seems to me that Warlock is strong with his blast. And for this, a great build would be 2 level warlock, 4 level warrior, 6 level sorcerer. At the same time, if you pump up your critrate and get gloves from the merchant Sarevok, then on average the blast damage per attack (3 blast shots) will be about 130-150 damage. You can make 4 such attacks per turn. Do you think this is not too imbalanced? Critrate 15-20+
Thank you and very glad to hear that you enjoyed it. That does sound like crazy average damage indeed and it also sounds like it would trivialize a lot of encounters. Have you tried it out? I felt that the Bhaalist Armor made Act 3 a lot easier, even higher ranged damage must tip the scale by quite a lot.
@@FriendlyLich Yes, I tried this build. It requires the Staff of Sparks (Act 1, valid until Act 3), Mantle of Power (Act 2, valid until the end of the game), Knife of the Undermountain King (Act 1, valid until the end of the game), Orin’s Knife (Act 3, until the end of the game) , Risk Ring (act 2, until the end of the game), Eversight Ring (act 2, until the end of the game), Bow for crit rate (taken in act 3 from a merchant in the lower city, valid until the end of the game), fit for crit with magic, fit from warrior for crit, you can wear Sarevok’s helmet or hood for crit rate (but not necessarily, there are enough crits). And most importantly - krater gloves (bought in Sarevok's chambers from the baalist merchant. This build is simply a hurricane! Damage, survivability, the ability to keep enemies away from the character, control, a sufficient number of cells. I choose "Vigilant" as the second feat for the sake of increasing initiative, extremely the right fit for this build.
@@MrCypher1999 Thank you for that detailed answer! That sounds like something I need to explore 😊
I like the character idle animation of spinning the spear
Hm, I can't find it. You got a timestamp for me? :)
I've noticed in the past, if you kill enemies with cull the weak, most of the time it does not trigger the elixir od bloodlust. I don't know why. But in order to make sure to get it, you need to kill them without having to trigger it (or turn it off before, bit that is so much wasted damage especially in the endgame).
That's a really good point, turning it off I mean. It had not even occurred to me to do that! Thanks!
Edit: So good to get tips and feedback =)
@@FriendlyLich you're welcome :3
Raphael never even stood a chance. Nice fight!
Thank you! =) It went really well.
Love how you're practically bullying Raphael during this fight
It's payback for all those threats he did :)
Awesome fight. Do you know why raphael is only using one action ? Is there a specifc spell or condition ? He looks like hes not getting close to you either. I remember when i did my run he would go straight at me.
Thank you! I checked 14:55 and 20:25, seems to do 2 actions there at least. Hunger of Hadar got a tendency to mess up enemies if they get blinded though. Is that what you're thinking about?
@@FriendlyLich thanks, yeah i did see that sometimes he uses one actions and other times 2. I was curious to know if there was a specific spell i miss. You're videos really helped me in my games. I will start a solo run soon :)
@@jeanlaurent9447 Awesome to hear that you found them useful! You got a plan for what class to run with?
@@FriendlyLich I'm not sure yet maybe a warlock or a rogue/ranger. I liked the build you made with the wizard (necromancy).
@@jeanlaurent9447 The necro/paladin was insanely fun to play but I failed at Myrkul. I probably had a terrible strat on him too so I still think it's doable.
You gotta use the zombies from the necronomicon with circle of death, and make them invisible around the minor illusion. Absolutely shreds everything
Sounds awesome but I'm saving that quest for another run :)
How do you use GWM with a shield? Or did you drop the shield at some point?
You can use the bonus action attack from GWM with a shield but you don’t get the -5 +10 damage
@@FriendlyLich how did you increase your damage then? At the start you had 12-25 and later you were hitting for ~30
@@manolvitanov2571 Bhaalist Armor doubles damage from piercing sources on targets close to you
@@FriendlyLich oh, right. Thanks for answering me!
@@manolvitanov2571 Anytime!
I can see what every piece of your build is but I have no idea what the chest plate is.
The chest piece is locked behind siding with Bhaal in the Murder Tribunal. If you do that a vendor will appear which sell it.
Where I live we have candys named Rafaello, we call them "Rafaelki". Nice to see our sweet Rafaelka got squashed)
\o/
Cannot wait to see whats after the knight of Tiamat.
Solo Origin characters?
Good question! A poll want me to run Spore 6 / Necro 6 so I might do that. Which Origin character do you think would be fun to run as?
@@FriendlyLich Love to see if solo Honour could be done as a Martial, so BM Laezel could be interesting.
After your spores run ofc
I think that the only one to get roasted with hellfire was Raphael, not only did Kithara go there with his lack luster performance in bed but then had the audacity to fall asleep on him during their fight 🤣. As always, great tactics, it was very enlightening to see that cambions have a soft spot for kitty cats 🤣
Hard to resist such conversation options hehe. I found it super funny to sleep in the fight :D
Can u share this build🙏
Absolutely. =)
