    Awesome video. Shows that you MUST stick to rules and always trade out for a loss. The market will always fck you up.
    Thank you James for trying to hunt for a losing trade, to show it’s importance. A big boooom in my book. It’s visually helpful, so kudos and have a good beer 🍻

    Thankyou James, another great video. Personally I think there's more value to this one. I think you learn far more from losses than you ever do from winning. Quick question, would you always take the loss if a goal goes against you?

    • @TradingTheMarket
      @TradingTheMarket  Před rokem

      I always recommend to trade out after the first goal.
      A small loss is better than taking a full hit every time.

      After all the years we have spent developing our craft if we can give something back without anyone having to pay or be ripped off its most definitely worth it 💪🏻

    And right there is the issue with the strategy. The risk reward is 7/8/9:1, after 9 winning trades and getting £30 out of the market you are up £270 only to see it lose once and be back to zero. But yes match selection/market odds crucial.

    • @gaz3146
      @gaz3146 Před rokem +1

      The full loss was more to do with match selection and liquidity.

    • @TradingTheMarket
      @TradingTheMarket  Před rokem +1

      100%
      If the liquidity was there and I had cashed out after one goal it would be more like a £60-£80 loss.
      All depends on the time of the goal too.
      A 2 to 1 ratio is very much possible in the long run and I have been trading the UDT for years 👍🏻

    Super useful as usual. Though, I have two questions. First: What liquidity do u recommend? And, 2nd: What stats do I look for when trading Upside taxi? thanks in advance

    Hi, how do you think is it profitable in long run:
    For example i split my stake in 3 and bet for example over 2,5 goals from odds 2, 3, 4 and if there is no goals on 60 min, cashout 50% of my stake and bet that 50% on rest time on over 1,5 market..odds about 2+.
    Is it profitable on long run? Or just cashout and move forward?
    Thnx

    • @TradingTheMarket
      @TradingTheMarket  Před rokem +1

      Are you talking about the Over 2.5 goals strategy?
      Personally I would cash out and move on instead of risking the 50% you just got back on a lower market.
      When trading Over 2.5 goals you need to be looking at stats that tell you there will be lots of potential goals in both halves to succeed long-term.

    Its possible to explain how to choose the matches?

  • @allaboutdogs845
    @allaboutdogs845 Před 10 měsíci

    If you are very confident there will be goals, does it work just as well to back the overs and trade out after 10 minutes ?

  • @gaz3146
    @gaz3146 Před rokem +1

    Nice video, how do you choose what games to do it on?

    • @TradingTheMarket
      @TradingTheMarket  Před rokem +3

      For the most part I let the odds dictate if there is a viable trade, as I explained in the video odds between 2.5 and 4.5 are the first indicator then after this I check the statistics from our excel sheet/website to see how dangerous the trade could potentially be and take it from there.
      Trading friendlies as I did in the video is usually safe as the teams are just getting back to fitness and are not at their optimum levels just yet but all matches come with risk.
      Stick to the rules and stakes that are comfortable within your bank and you will make money using this strategy just as I do.

  • @temp911Luke

    After the 1st goal the loss is 45%, thats almost 50%.
    So basically you would need 3 successful trades to even break even.

    • @TradingTheMarket
      @TradingTheMarket  Před rokem +1

      Low liquidity was the driving factor behind it.
      Most games with high liquidity will have settled odds within a min or two and then give you a more favourable cash out in the region of 30% -40% loss on your remaining liability.
      So legging out will help with this.
      It's more of a 2:1 ratio in my honest experience.

    • @temp911Luke

    I think it's foolish to bet that a match with three goals in the first half will not have many goals in the second half.

    One big loss thou youd need alot £30 wins to get that back

    • @TradingTheMarket
      @TradingTheMarket  Před rokem +1

      This is true, One big loss will put you in a position where you will need around 10 wins to break even. How often does this happen though?? The loss at the end of the video was the first time in all my years that this has happened.
      As I explained I wouldn't have traded the match at all if it were not for trying to record a losing to trade to show our viewers.
      12 seconds to process each order and very low liquidity is a huge indicator to stay away.
      Always Leg out to reduce any loss and when you find yourself in a losing position after the first goal in high liquidity markets the odds will settle very fast and you will be able to get of your position with relative ease.
