- Just a quick little look at what youd need to do to add a set of fog lights to your Crown Victoria!
not a Tutorial but just a peak! relatively simple mod.
Just get the fog light lenses and bulbs from a junkyard, purchase/make a harness, and find a really good drill bit! i did not remove the bumper for this mod however if you dont want to damage your bumper or fight with it you can definately remove it. just remember to mock up the fog light and make your drill hole marks prior to removing bumper

I think the front end of this car is underrated. It looks a lot more modern and sporty this way and it’s a good look.

It’s funny because I actually got these fog lights to help with how bad the factory headlights were, I felt like I was driving blind at night 😂
I’m such a perfectionist though, I didn’t want some led strips and those focus fog lights just looked so unpractical for what I was looking for. Thankfully I found these and they really suited all my needs!

@@Tu_yaSabe768 Goodluck and hope it turns out how you want it! I haven’t heard back from anyone successfully doing the mod but I’m sure there’s a few people who have.
My tips would be mark the drill holes for the lights while the bumpers on and then taking it off, some people also are having trouble getting through the crash bar so a quality drill bit might make things easier for you!
Hope to see a finished result when you get the time! I definitely love the extra wide pattern the lights put down.

Just ordered everything for it, quick question might be dumb, did you drill through the top of the crash bar and go all the way through and just use a long bolt to mount them?
Yep! You come up from underneath and drill a nice little hole into the crash bar, it might be tricky because it’s pretty much almost at the end of the bar where it curves however there is just enough material to work with where you can put a bolt in through the crash bar and thread a nut on from the bottom, nothing to long or beefy just like an inch long bolt should be fine, mine are just small little guys but they’re holding it on for years now!
It’s hard to really explain but if you set the fog light into the bumper it will naturally want to follow the curve and the line of the top of the bumper and fit in like a glove basically, once it’s straight and looks good you’re going to notice the bash bars right above the fog light bracket, it’s going to be close like I said but if it lines up and looks decent it’s going to tell you exactly where it wants the hole in the crash bar, then you basically mark it and drill it out.

Also something I forgot to mention is you can adjust the fog lights with the black knob that’s beside it, it I think adjusts tension on a spring or something and it can adjust the pitch, so If they’re aimed straight on the floor you can tight or loosen that and it will lift or lower the beam.

Looks awesome bro, I purchased some fog lights from a 2004 Ford Focus ZTS to put in my 2006 P71 and I was wondering would I have to run a separate switch also or could I tie them into the parking lamp bulb for them to come on when I turn on the parking lights?

But you can most definitely tie the fog lights into your parking lamps so they turn on through the factory headlight switch.
I ran with a separate switch because I just wanted that ability to turn them on separately from my lights but you can do whichever is easier honestly

It does but it’s very dim, bright enough to notice the switch is in on but nothing like I was hoping for
