Nice video with good advice! You could have used the old seal between the pipe and the new seal as a little protection

Hi - since my engine rebuild I have gone through 4 badly leaking seals - I drive them till they flush but you carry on till the seal hits the inner race - Is that correct? Doesn't sound right but I am prepared to try anything with my 5th seal.

Hey man! So the funny thing about this particular replacement, its not written anywhere in the service manual from Honda, so I seated it the the way I do on others. The seal itself had less than 400 miles after a complete rebuild from Precision Concepts in CA... Not saying anything bad about them, just saying it didnt last long. Now its new, and not trying to pimp a site but I have this and all my bikes on a site called speedslip.com. I'm plumcrazy there and track all my milage with this and other bikes in the garage section. I'll for sure let you know how long it goes and maybe between the two of us we can put the seal companies out of business :>)

@@kurtlittlefield6321 How many miles has the new seal done and have you opened the stator cover to see if it is leaking?

@@chriswilliamson607 0. The bike is awaiting the flywheel to come back from Wayne Demonja who owns C-fab and sells an electric start kit. Should be here soon and will be back on the road asap. My wife and I double up 3-4 days a week on it and promose to post how rhe seal holds up...

Chris, I got to thinking that maybe the reason your seal failed is pressure. If your case vent is clogged, the one that connects to the bottom.of your airbox gets restricted or clogged, it will build pressure causing the seal to fail. With the bike off :>), open your oil fill and put a finger over it. Then work out a way to use a straw or just blow through the hose after you disconnect from your airbox. It should be very easy and you should feel air pass with no problem. If it's met with resistance, fix with a new hose or find out why it's restricted.. hope it helps

@@kurtlittlefield6321 Hi - Did pull the rubber hose off and that is clear. Am going to my bike on Tuesday so plan on testing if the actual metal pipe breather is clear before I fit the new seal.
