What a beautifully clean specimen! And great level of detail thinking about turning a gummed up petcock. I never thought would enjoy watching a man clean his petcock but this was quite enjoyable.
I took apart a 2005 XRR a little over a year ago, it is in decent condition. I wanted to clean up everything really nice and get it back together but I am now finding i dont remember as much as I thought I would, as far as where everything goes back! So I have a feeling this series will be perfect!
Fuel lube instead of grease on those rubber gaskets - www.wagaero.com/maintenance/lubricants/ez-turn-lubricant-5-oz-tube.html. Doesn't wash away and lubes well!! But do grease the threads of the bolts that go into the tank inserts. When they corrode life is over :)

Ha ha!! I've shredded so many of those pesky petcocks.... the worst is when its on a vintage bike, and there is no replacement!! Ugghhh..

come on Duh, No impact driver on them petcock 8mm screws when tightening. ask me how I know....
You know Im lazy..... I guess I better get less lazy.....lol
are 2 collar present on those 8mm screw? by the fsm say yes but i cannot find them
