This is a fantastic ride that, judging by the consistently short lines for it when I was there last week, is incredibly underrated by park visitors. In my opinion, this is easily the second best coaster in the park!

I live 10 minutes away from 6FNE so I visit constantly and it depends on the day. Best days to go for the coasters is on really hot days. Everyone goes into the water park and just stays there. I got right on Superman without any wait at all a couple weeks ago. If the water park is closed though the wait times hit over 100 minutes sometimes.
The maintenance absolutely sucks
I waited 20 minutes in one train they checked every seat like 6 times
10 minute wait I marathoned it. It was supposed to rain but it was 80 not humid sunny and went on 21 laps of 4 coasters!
Went on Saturday. This ride is phenomenal!

I love the first drop the stall and the outer bank turn. All the elements on this thing are crazy
This ride looks bad on paper but WOW, it's such a fantastic ride !!! You stay low to the ground all the time, the drop is phenomenal, the outerbanks are unique and the lapbars make you feel free all the ride ! A must do. trust me. top 5 best RMC ;)

I was at Six Flags New England on July 26, 2018. Rode Wicked Cyclone, and it was AMAZING!!! I TOTALLY recommend this ride!
I went July 29 this year, and rode cyclone twice in the front. What an awesome experience it was

Just was at six flags today, I love wooden coasters saw this and went on, not knowing the monster goes upside down, came out of my seat like 3 times, it was the worst, my old heart couldn’t handle it, I was shaking like crazy, got so light headed. Never again lol. I never knew wooden coasters could do corkscrews.
It’s a hybrid conversion hence the ride able to do inversions not all inversions are corkscrews

went on the original fully wooden Cyclone for the first time in about 1997. I felt like I almost fell out of the ride on the first drop. It was pretty nuts. I can see why they changed it. Some wooden roller coasters are absolutely brutal. Hercules at Dorney Park was like being in a blender.
If you want to go on a ride that makes you feel like you are in a blender, try one of those rotor rides that used to be popular in fact I think Six Flags New England used to have one back when it was still Riverside amusement park because I know I went on a couple of times, and after going on at three times my body did feel like I had been through a blender.
For what it is, this coaster is one of the most underrated in america

@@dibble1331 i actually like the restraints my butt still went in air so air time but i like feeling of not feeling like i am going to fall out like old restraints(t-bar lap bar) it makes hard for people to play with restraints. a person could squeeze out if thin enough too. also the old restraints were taken out because of injuy and one death during when ride still quite new. that deaht wasn't falut of six flags either though the disabled man riding i heard he had been playing with the restraint. his family were looking for him he wasn't supposd to be alone.
@@tinabastarache2674 I mean, I’m fine with the restraints but for me they do limit airtime and also they can be really uncomfortable.
@@dibble1331 i didn't feel suqished nor did i end up with bruises on ride like superman. i am overweight. i however ended up with bruises and whiplash on reg rides more than any coaster. or well the wild mouse coaster at new england a family ride. i was slammed all around wishing the ride was stopping 20 second/s in brusies on stomach and shoulders i was quite achy. it probably was the main reason i needed shoulder surgery in 2014 since only time i rode it was in 2012. also first year i rode superman. it was day before my big 3-0 place was packed though had lot of wait in lines because was father's day i wasn't surprised i mean everyone in family could go enjoy themselves toghether.

Just marathoned this beauty with an awesome single rider from New Hampshire, with the sly moves 😎 I feel terrible not remembering her name or getting her number when weather stopped the ride. If you see this on the crazy off chance, please respond, would love to marathon again with you anytime! 👍🤘🤌

Underrated ride great ride.
I went on this at day during 4th or July and I got to go on this at night and this dude behind me kept screaming no no no and I kept screaming yes yes yes and all of a sudden I could see the fire works while I was on the ride at night I could literally feel the big drop while I was on this best experience ever while seeing the fireworks on this ride at night I give this 10/10 thank you six flags for making this the best experience I could ever wish for I’m definitely coming back for this ride and all of them 😎😎😎😎
I might go there this summer and ride this but also this ride definitely seems like a good first-time roller coaster
update 2 years later- superman ended up being my first big roller coaster 😂

it does i don't recall hearing it any of the times i rode it. watching this like uhm that sounds nice is it supposed to sound more like chain lift hill like the thunderbolt

Just try to ride it during a rain shower, the first drop might hurt a little but the rest of the ride is absolutely amazing!
I went on this ride and i am 9 years old. I went with my mom and me my was waiting outside and he saw a picture that they took and he was laughing its fun

Is this ride ok for a six year old who loves fast rides? She is tall enough.
I've never ridden it, but I've been on enough coasters to say this is crazy for a typical 6-year-old. It's not too much a matter of speed, as you mention, but of intensity. If she likes rides that quickly throw thing after thing at you, and have a lot of force that throws you around and out of your seat, she'll probly like it. Either way if she decides to ride it I wish you her good luck and hope she enjoys :)

Its very stable, you shouldve seen Cyclone though that thing moved and swayed while you watched the trains go by. RMC did a good service to it.
