Please do more of these. This is such a doable day of meals for us busy people. Looking forward to more.
I am so happy for you. I have been plant based since 2008 and honestly I cannot imagine how I would be without having made that change. I applaud your ability to change and to learn and to grow. Being plant based will change your whole existence, it will change who you are as a person. Plus it is much healthier for the mind, body and soul and helps us age at a slower pace.
Been plant based for about 9 years. I started when I was 60 because of my husband’s high cholesterol. Best thing we ever did. It was a bit of a learning curve at the beginning to make sure we were getting a balanced diet but I have so many yummy recipes that I make. I a,ways make homemade soups.
Been plant based for over 35 years ! It’s the healthiest lifestyle ! I’m 55 and never take medications I’m super healthy ! Cheers to more plant eaters.
Awesome! 😊
Fantastic!👋.... I am almost 60 and been plant based for almost 23 years now and I will NEVER go back! I don't have a single health problems, with zero inflammation in my body and I am very strong and fit, .....could not be happier!
@@gmailsender7274 Not true. A lot of people in their fifties are on medications now for high blood pressure diabetes, etc., with much of it caused by eating the Standard American Diet. Great for your parents, but these are the stats....Nearly nine in ten (89%) adults 65 and older report they are currently taking any prescription medicine. This compares to three-fourths of 50-64 year olds who report taking prescription drugs, half (51%) of 30-49 year olds, and four in ten (38%) 18-29 year olds. Aug 9, 2019

I love the new content. You’re really inspiring me to go on a plant based diet. I’ve been dipping my toes in for sometime. Great video!
Thanks so much!
@@FiftyPlusBeautyweren't you a carnivore?
I love your new videos, plant based has given me pristine health! You are glowing
Thank you so much. I really appreciate that.
🥒 Hi Beth, I found if you cut the cucumber lengthwise to make planks instead of rounds for a sandwich it is much easier to put together and eat. Only took me 60 years to figure that out! 😅😅😅
FYI: ground flaxseed is more absorbable by the body (whole flax may pass through the digestive tract undigested, so you don’t get nutritional value) BUT you should grind it at the time you use it or it can get rancid. Also, the bread and hummus were gluten-free but the oats and cereal may have gluten and even if you don’t have celiac’s, gluten is inflammatory= good to avoid for people trying to reverse autoimmune symptoms (i.e.- pain from arthritis) … 😊 Grateful to see so many people enjoying this wonderful Whole Foods plant-based diet
Definitely use ground flax seed. I grind my own in my blender as soon as I buy it. Then I keep it in the freezer so that it doesn’t turn rancid. Love the video!
Wow, you have learned so much so fast Beth! I am so impressed! I have been plant based for many years and SO happy that you have found your way to this way of eating. I do feel this will help you so much on your health journey. Side note; I read somewhere that it is best to keep your flaxseed in the fridge to keep it fresh. I actually keep mine in the freezer to be doubly sure. lol Love your recipes- I am constantly collecting and searching for new recipes- so thank you! I try to be aware of the NOW as well- Mindfulness is a healthy habit for us as well. thank you for all you do ! xo
Love what you said about living for the now. I am always thinking I will be happy when I lose ten more pounds, or pay off my bills but I should just be happy for the moment I am in. I am 72 great health no medications and I just got back on my plant based diet. Will try your recipies, thanks.
Oh I loved this video….please if you can more of these 🤞continued good health to you Beth ❤️….Nancy
I LOVE that you are eating plant based!

Thank you so much, Beverly! I appreciate that!

Dear Beth. You have taken on this challenge so beautifully!! Thank you for sharing and inspiring! 💕💕
I am so glad to see you eating this instead of all those MacDonald's burger patties and bags of fried stuff!!! 😉

Blessings to you too!
Oh 😢that kitchen dancing made me tear up. We could have lost you Beth …. I’m so glad you were dancing with your darling ❤

I like that protein powder. Costco also has ready to drink Orgain . They have both plant based and non.
@@carrielee3649 me too , I have it
Great video Beth.
Ive been eating plant based going on 24 years. My protein always tested normal not eating protein on purpose, just eating a regular unprocessed plant food diet.
I went through a protein phase for 8 months, thinking I needed protein to build muscle. I did a lot of clean plant based protein powders and protein bars.
The next time I tested my protein it actually dropped a little, after consuming supplemental protein for 8 months.
When I switched over to Whole Food Plant Based, I attended the McDougall 12 day intensive program and learned that isolated plant proteins arent necessary and can do more harm than good in our bodies.
After stopping all the protein powders and supplements a few months later my protein level was back up to where it was.
I found out that it is the supplement companies that are pushing protein on us, along with a lot of misinformed trainers.
The very seasoned trainer working with the McDougall program told me that I do not need supplemental protein to build muscle, I just need resistance training.
All plant foods have protein and we manufacture it from everything we eat.
We dont need to eat isolated protein powders and smoothies and protein bars.
Inately I was already aware of this but I did get sucked in by some mid age influencer who was inspiring me to add a lot of protein to my diet for weight loss and muscle building. Going whole food plant based gave me all the protein I need, in additon I released 26 pounds eating this way.
I saved money and my health by not consuming protein supplements.
I loved this video! Thank you for sharing what you eat in a day, so very informative and helpful!! I love your thoughts for the day at the end!
I’m so happy for you that you found the plenty for bountiful plant world!
And one day in the future, when you have studied more you might find out you don’t even need protein powders for your smoothie !
However, great for you. We are seven years in and feeling wonderful over 50 and over 60 too!
Kind greetings from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 ❤
Great video as a 60 year old lifetime plant based lady here. I still watched your other videos but this is far more comfortable to me. Thanks for sharing and all the very best to you and yours ❤🌹
The mother is the cloudy, spongy, or stringy mass of bacteria and yeast that forms during fermentation of apple cider vinegar. It contains probiotics, enzymes, and nutrients.
That's right and what is in the bottles is just sediment, not the mother.
After 40 years of marriage my husband got a girlfriend, I do not share so ( bye-bye) I got a dog ( my advice, do not have resentment, don’t have anger, have faith and pray) so my dog Coco and I dance, she loves to. Yes I name my dog Coco Chanel and I have to laugh because I do not have any high end handbags. I would love a Chanel bag I do have coach and I love handbags, so yes my dog is named after a handbag lol. lol but I love your idea of dancing with your husband that just made me tear up and I do dance with my dog maybe not the same thing but it’s sweet. I love your cooking segment, got some good ideas cause I need to be on the health way of life. ❤️thank you for sharing
Been plant base for over 40 years it’s the only way to go! Cheers for more plant base humans ! I have never taken any medications I am 55. The planet and your body will thank you!
I admire your discipline & dedication to whatever you decide to do! Especially exercising. ❤
Thanks for sharing your journey. Love your dancing in the kitchen ♥️ Cheers to good health ✨
Greetings Beth! Thank you so much for demonstrating your recipes. It all looks so yummy! Love and blessings ♥️🙏
2:19 Aww!! ❤ I LOVE that your brother takes care of his health! I lost my brother at 42 due to his unhealthy lifestyle, but he packed two lives into his half life and fiercely loved people. God has let me know my brother is with Him, so that replaced my tears with joy, but sooo many people miss him! Stay healthy for your loved ones, y’all!!
Thanks for sharing that about your brother. It sounds like he really didn’t know how to enjoy life. Glad to know you have assurance. He’s with God now. That’s wonderful.
@@FiftyPlusBeauty
Yes! Thank you, Beth! He enjoyed life to the fullest, had no fear, and graduated early. We had a strong bond & loyalty, even though we were sooo different, and I loved my brother unconditionally. God has been SO good in the supernatural comfort He’s given that I’ve prayed for! He never leaves or forsakes us! ❤️
I LOVED this video ! Thank you so much for sharing these easy simple recipes ! Im new to eating this way and YOU are definitely helping me. The thought of having to have sooooo many ingredients on hand to cook a meal had really put me off, but you have given me a reason to go ahead and just DO it !! simply ;-) Looking forward to more of these !
Love these health videos! So inspiring and motivating. Many brilliant ideas! Thank you so much ❤
You are glowing Beth. Thank you for all you do. God bless you and your beloved family.
Love all your suggestions and ideas! I really appreciate it ❤
Thank you for sharing. You are so honest and loving and such an inspiration to all of us over 60. You’re also an inspiration to those who are younger, looking for a mentor.
Great to see you are plant based
Been working on it myself and love the recipes!
Thanks also for reminding us that now, this time right now-is our life! It is so true and I love the fact that you and your husband dance in the kitchen! You are enjoying your life!❤
Thanks so much for your very nice comment. Yes, dancing together is very fun!
I am re-energized in watching my protein and doing real cooking like you've presented. Thank you. Yes - life doesn't get much better than when you share with a person you love.

Great video! Going to try a couple of these recipes!!! 😊
What an absolutely beautiful closing thought for the day…just about brought me to tears ❤❤❤ I loveeee the recipes too
It's good to see some sweet in your recipes so many nutritionists say zero added sugar. I've been restricted way too much. We dance in the kitchen too. Very grateful for my blessings too. We are in the same age group and I think it's the age we are at that is so important to embrace and slow down to really cherish each moment. ❤
Thanks for sharing that you dance in the kitchen too! That’s just awesome! You’re right. We really do need to slow slow down and cherish each moment.
Thank you so much for this video and all your videos. You are so inspiring!!!
You are so welcome!
Love it, Beth and to see you looking so healthy. Thanks for sharing your day xoxo
Whole Food Plant Based changed my life. Following it for many years. Happy that you have discovered this way of eating for yourself. You look amazing and so does your brother. Exercise is so important as well for our "second half." I enjoy soymilk as well. I really like the unsweetened WestSoy milk brand, Eden soy milk or a brand that has just 3 ingredients: soy beans, water, salt. Tastes really good in vegan ranch style salad dressings. Always looking for dressings that are oil free. Will try your dressing!
I absolutely love this video. I hope that you do more on this. I recently found out that I have heart failure and I’ve been very interested in this book. I just had no concept of how to cook or eat without oils. Your smoothie recipe and stirfry recipe showed me some things I had not thought of. Thank you so much and please make more “what I eat in a day” videos.
Heals me watching you prepare so many plant based recipes❤ i went lowcarb for a while and felt horrible, finally going back to whole foods plant based diet, and i already feel so much better
You are so welcome!
I loved your presentation, everything looks so delicious and I can’t wait to try this. Thank you I appreciate these videos. ❤

Your ability to learn and adapt is so inspring and encouraging Beth! Take that to all the negative ladiea and gentlemen stuck in their ways!
Thanks so much, Gina! I appreciate that.
Lovely sentiment at the end Beth. How true! I think I’ll try that dance in the kitchen too. Love that you’re WFPB now. 👏😻

Great video!. I'm also plant based now and really trying to increase my protein intake.
Oh Beth...I am so happy to see that you are now plant based. I was so freaked out about the carnivore diet...Thank you for the share!!! Happy eating. I've learned a lot.
You are so welcome!
Me too, I was scared for her then found out about the stroke. I've been plant based 23 years to help manage my arteries with FH. I've survived 17 years longer than a lot of the predecessors in my family who died early of heart attacks with this disorder.
Ahhh from
Reading the comments it was because you had a stroke from propbably atherosclerosis which is fat narrowing the artiertes that carry oxygenated blood? I thought that heart surgeons warn people to stay away from meats and high fat for heart heath and the health of our artieries
Get some saturated fat, it's protective against stroke. See 2020 American college of cardiology paper.
Thank you Beth for sharing!! We are busy and thank you for the easy recipes! You are the BEST!! P.S. I love Zucchero! I drag my Husband to dance!
Looks delicious! Thank you, always love getting new ideas of what to cook!
You are so welcome!
Fantastic video! Love to see you thriving! ❤❤❤
Thanks so much 😊
Great video! Thanks, Beth!
I picked up lots of great ideas from your video today!!!! Love the content. I really needed some fresh new ideas. You look gorgeous today, as always ❤
Awesome! Thank you!
I turn 63 next week. I switched to eating whole food plant exclusive, no oil, low salt in 2020. My health has improved greatly, although I still struggle to maintain the weight I want to remain at. Just recently, I became a teacher of pilates reformer. It brings me joy to help people move their bodies. What has also brought me much joy over the years are my husband and my Friday date nights. We have a dance lesson followed by our one and only eat out of the week. Sometimes we go back to a dance party. Waltz, fox trot, bachata, cha cha, rumba, swing, night club two step, even country... We challenge ourselves to learn a cool dance routine and perform it in front of our fellow dancers. It helps move our bodies and work our brains. It is a nice social outlet too. Your video showed up in my feed tonight. I eat similarly to what you showed in your video. Going WFPB was so freeing to both my runner husband and me. No worries about what meat goes with what vegetable for dinner (boring). Now our veggies and grains and legumes and seasonings bring wonderful flavor into our meals.
That’s so neat, your husband, and you have dance lessons and dance so well! Wow! That is just lovely.
Beth, thank you so much for sharing what you’re eating. I am encouraged/inspired by how much you’re eating. I had visions of lettuce dancing in my head and truly wondered how you were going from steak to romaine. I may just give this a whirl myself! I do so agree with your thinking and find myself feeling the same. The present really is a gift. I purposely stop to drink in the view from my window, either on a drive or in my home. PS I’m picking up frozen stir fry vegetables next time I’m in Costco. Thank you again! Melody from northern Alberta, Canada
This was great! I think you are a cooking video natural! I will definitely be trying your protein smoothie and apple crisp recipes.
Thanks for this video Beth, I enjoyed it.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you Beth❤for doing a video on what you eat in a day ❤❤you are the sweetest ❤
Thank you for the recipes. Last that I saw you, months ago, you were doing the carnivore diet! I have been plant based for 4 years now and I love it, could not go back to eating meat again. When did you go plant based? Have you lost any weight that is usually what happens when you first begin this diet. Also watch Dr. Geiger he is definitely worth watching. Hope you make more of these meal videos they are fun.
Fantastic video! So happy for you. 💚💚💚
Thank you so much!!
Hello sweet friend! I’m so glad to see you make this switch. I was low carb/keto off and on for the last 10 years but just not feeling well. (62 yo with hypothyroidism). I had started to make this change even before I heard of your stroke. My biggest problem is trying to get my gut used to the whole grains, fruits, veggies and legumes. How did you get through the gassy and bloating phase? Also, have you had to watch calories to prevent any weight gain? Many thanks to you; love and prayers! ❣️🙏 (BTW, if you haven’t already, watch the Physicians Committee YT channel, love Chuck and all his guests!)
What a great message! Love it ♥️
Thanks so much!
Great video...I just love the end...so touching! God bless you and good luck!
Thank you! You too!
The mother is the vinegar culture, it contains probiotics. Vinegar with the "Mother" can be used as a ferment starter as well.

I am so excited that you are now plant based. There is a ton of science supporting this lifestyle for longevity and health. I enjoyed this video and all the tips. I am a big fan of a loaded oatmeal/cereal bowl
❤❤❤❤❤❤ I'm still keto now going on 43 years. I stay on it because of really terrible allergies so far. No meds health is pristine from my doctor. Will be 70 years young. I do believe my way of eating has kept me young. I think whatever works for people one way of eating doesn't work for everyone. Best of luck Beth.
Hugs to you too! I am so happy you found a diet that works so well for you.

One of the nice benefits of oil free cooking is the easy clean up, no greasy mess. One of my favorite plant based meals is mushroom tacos. So easy to make. You look great Beth. 🌸
Oh that sounds so good!!
Thank you! I loved your what I eat in a day video! I'm so proud of you and so happy for you that you have gone whole foods plant based!! Keep up the great work and keep making more of this style video with more recipes!!!!❤ And pretty please explain from now on when you talk about flaxseed... that you are grinding it freshly each morning In your magic bullet or coffee grinder before eating it on your food. (Because the human body is not able to break down the hard outer shell of the flax seed, nor obtain any of its nutrients). You are a huge inspiration, and thank you so much for all that you do and all that you are! My hubby and I love to dance in the kitchen, too! God is so good!
Thanks for your great comment. Yes, I should mention that I do use ground flaxseed only. I will mention that in the future and I appreciate your comment about that.
Hi. Do you eat both things for lunch the sandwich and the salad made from califlower and brocali?
I loved this video . I’m 56 years young and I have been looking into going more plant based in my diet. I would like to hear your opinion on soy. I know someone who is my age and she is against soy in her diet. I am looking forward to more videos. Blessings from Delaware 🤗

Hi Beth, I love smoothies and can’t wait to try this one. I’m shocked that you’re no longer on keto or carnivore. I tried keto for a couple of months but it was too restrictive for me and I like meat. I eat a lot of meat but this plant based way of eating might be a better option for me. Thank you for sharing. Thank you so much for sharing these recipes! I am going to pick up some of the items you mentioned. I wonder what the best replacement is for soy milk if one is allergic to soy? Would it be oat milk over almond? Keep these videos coming - I love these (have already watched this video twice)!
Thank you so much for these recipes. I will be trying them all. Also, I love that you and Allan are still in love so much!
Good to see you've ditched the carnivore diet. Our diet needs to be so much healthier. Hoping you feel better as a result x
Veganism and carnivore diets never worked for me. Gods works the best. Cheers to those who tell the truth and can genuinely improve while eating both.
Sometimes I do a smoothie with two bananas, a scoop of old fashioned oats, two TBSP of cocoa powder and fill the rest with soy milk. I add fax seeds too. It’s the bomb!
