- Hey! I'm back with another slideshow and this time I decided to make it somewhat entertaining. Umm.....I know some of the pics in this song are kinda random but they were supposed to fit with the lyrics. Anyhoo I hope you enjoy! I really tried with this one (even though I got lazy towards the end of the vid.) :-P

Powerful, still relevant and the best of harmony!
be real Donald....you were never innocent!
@@markcollier741 When I want your input I will request it and pull your Collier LoL
By far one of the most harmonious groups in the industry & most under-rated. If you really listen to The Chi-Lites you will notice they have the most perfect tone in their vocal illustrations.
For sure
Never gets old,real music
I agree with you, Mathew!!!! This was the best Music !!!
Classic Chi-lites. This song brings out the true meaning of relationships good and bad. Let the lyrics tell you the rest.
I remember when I was a kid ,
Listening to the Chi - lites on the radio,
Now when you put the radio on , you will never hear this kind of music !
That’s sad , thank God for records and cd’s
Harmony and sweet, sweet, voices. Miss this music :( :(
tears tears of joy remember the old days
I agree with you, Marcia !!!! THIS WAS MUSIC !!!
Their music makes a man want to be in love again.
Absolutely, Ron! You said the right words !!! Best wishes from Norway !!!
...alone, half a bottle of wine consumed, and yet...and yet...its still all beautiful...just dreaming of that special woman, that special day, that special hour.... hope at its full potential and with this song is so possible.... "how can I make you believe"......still loving after all these losses and all this time....
+Ron Cannera okay
@@roncandelaria3703 well, don't leave us hanging...it's been another 2yrs! Have you found anyone to share earbuds with, yet?! Kind of poetically sad, so many good men, looking for a good woman, & vice versa...and yet, through it all, people sipping on wine; And listening to this beautiful music, ALONE!!😥💔🎶🍷
...yep...still sipping that good wine and listening alone...oh well, ce la vie....
"I'm so lonely I gotta go, I'm so lonely I gotta go, yeah yeaah"

Yeah, that was always my best part also.
@@abrahamsmith4248 yeah, you get the sense that he’s really feeling that part sincerely. I love how the bass singer creeps in at 5:12. He’s feeling it too. Do you know who that is?
Why should a man be lonely, when he has someone like you?......R I P Eugene Record we love you!!

EVERLASTING CLASSIC....
this song reminds me that love don't die it lives on.
Everytime I hear this song it takes me back, sitting on the floor, mom in her chair plaiting my hair. I would bounce my head to the beat while she bonked me in the head telling me to be still. Oh how I remember those days and sometimes yearn for them back. It was a simpler time in life and the innocence of being a child is priceless!
GOD BLESS
Thank you for this Beautiful words, Phyllis !!! Love to you from Norway !!!
+Evan Jordan a man
I love it? Reminds me of the good ole days at my childhood home. I oh so miss those days.☺
LoL thank you for taking me back to the good old days
Awesome Voice Period
Eugene Record what a singer.
And song writer.
God Bless
it reminds me of the days in the early 70''s when i and 4 other swell guys wanted to sing and make it in the music world.there were awesome singing groups during the 1970 era.when music was truly music,it and that time will live in MY HEART FOREVER AND EVER
Amen. Truth.
@ Ezzard Thompson listening here to the chi-lites. I was in the marines back in 1972. hard to believe. what times we had in the 1970's. how bout the spinners, stylistics, Harold Melvin and the blue notes, Ojays, Marvin gaye, etc. God bless. best music back then.
Unsung brought me here so thank you Unsung! Love you Chi-Lites. Rest in peace to all who have gone on. Love You Marshall Thompson for keeping the spirit alive. Have always loved the Chi-lite sound. Thanks so much again. Will be playing their music again. Funny story. I saw the Chi-lites in Cleveland, Ohio in the 70's. They had on blue and white long vests with stacked white shoes. From the time they came on it was pandemonium. My girlfriends and I were screaming so loud thinking they were singing to us....Not. So fun to have alll these memories...lol
Yeah, I know what you mean. Every time they came to DC area in 70s, I saw them (leaving my hubby @home!) & off with my girlfriend's.
Chi-Lites were very nice & polite and we went nuts!!! SuperFine, awesome & talented. So sad only Marshall is here.
Chi-Lites Forever!!!
When I'm missing my parents this music really brings back good memories of them ...smh happy tears!!
I love how these brothers expose their vulnerabilites in song. Even when speaking, they are articulate in expressing themselves. Today's "singers" don't express themselves in this way, and it is a shame. Music has a way of saying things in our hearts if only we had the words/chance. I love 70s soul for that very reason -- superb lyrics, beautiful music, and a lesson in hearing of it.
The Chi-Lites and most soul groups from this era remind us that real love, between a man and a woman,
is infinitely more than just physical, something that has been lost in so much of today's R & B.
wedge4hire love is meditative ,spiritually rejuvenating and healing, not only to a broken heart, but also a broken world!
Nobody sings like this today......these guys are just dynamite 😍
True .. what a supered group. No better now.
1 of a kind 💯

I used to sit up in my room as a kid with this record (and several Chi-Lites records) and play them over and over again. The harmonies these cats put out were a great work out! I would stand in the mirror and sing my little heart out. They don't make them like this anymore.
Me too
Is there anyone who sings like this today?..........I'm tellin you...the lyrics and the heart..it's real life, real emotion and real sentimemt.

This is the most beautiful song I ever heard! I fell in love with Eugene Record hearing this song as a young girl. you can tell by listening to this song that Eugene had classical music training even with the music. ........................BEAUTIFUL !!!!!
He had no real training unless you count his older sister who was a classical pianist.
He mother studied classical music and she taught it to him. in the talking part of this song.......listen carefully to the piano...........
