when I first heard this song I fell in love with it, the Chi-lites were one of the hottest groups in the 60s, 70s!!! Wow what a great song, it sounds great in that low low
Wow ths is not Eugene but ths brother sounds pretty good, Rest Easy Eugene, Red, Robert and there is one more i Salute all my fallen singers yu all hve left a Empire, legacy of music for all of the fans to njoy for a lifetime. ❤❤❤ We Love All of the Entertainers tht are still wth us and the ones tht are gone but never forgotten ❤❤
Dam. Is that Anthony Watson singing lead for the Chi-lites? If not, this guy sounds exactly like the original recording. And if he is, he should be given credit for it. and if he's not Watson, then whoever he is he should be credited for his cover. To comment to this or hear the very best of Our music, check out either of my soul, jazz or blues programs on know1radio.com here in Chicago, and if you are a true soul music connosieur you have my word that I will present you best of it, more so than the regular 'suga pie honey bunch' oldies. (no offense to the Tops) but check me out. (:
@@barbaras234 I have read that "Frank "T'Challah" Reed sang with The Chi-Lites from 1988" - this song is from their 1990 album. I'm unsure, though, whether Frank ever sang lead.
Just to add, there seems to be only three members of the Chi-Lites in this photo from their 1990 album. I again have read that the line-up from 1988, was or would have been the following and the line-up for their 1990 album: - Marshall Thompson - Robert "Squirrel" Lester - Frank Reed - Anthony Reynard Watson Frank or Anthony can't be on the cover - possibly Frank. He may have joined just after the albums release?
Brings back lots of memories ❤
