"Com stock took my body!
Wasn't even Sick!"
It's Comstock also we watched the same video as you no point in repeating a line
The Daddyland he got over 150 likes.
You should probably shut your mouth
@pavel mihai
Either this is a joke or you are a bot
pavel mihai get outta here robot

i miss my own body. it was so...so warm. that line freaks me out.
Skip van der Zwaan it makes sense.. they miss the feeling of their own bodies....
Anyone else think that most of the stuff that the handymen say are exactly what a big daddy would say if they could talk?
but big daddies are so brainwashed they dont even feel pain anymore
@@faggoteditor9297 they can feel pain who said they can't feel pain, have you not seen a big daddy bang on the vent and no little sister come out they are so filled with grief.
Maybe that's why they were designed not to speak
@@faggoteditor9297
They feel pain, but the brainwashing makes them act like protective dogs.
@@thedeadender5486 All except Sinclair, who proves to be lucid enough to beg for forgiveness and telling Delta to kill him.
I WANT TO SLEEP!! THE NOISE OF MY LUNGS KEEPS ME AWAKE!!
When I was fighting a Handyman outside Fink Manufacturing for the first time, for whatever reason I heard that line very clearly through all the commotion of the fight, and it gave me the chills.
At the beginning of the game, you see a Handyman on display before a large crowd; far from being proud of his new body, he's hunched, cowering, trying to cover his face and jerking in alarm at every camera flash. Learning a little more about the Handymen makes this scene really depressing: before being made into a cyborg, this guy had a life of his own, likely a family; then, after suffering debilitating injuries or terminal illness, he was given a chance to survive and possibly even live forever... only to end up getting permanently grafted to a huge, awkward and decidedly ugly body. And then, as if losing any chance at a normal life wasn't bad enough, the Founders demanded services in return: he was put to work killing people (even worse if the Handyman was a civilian beforehand), making him even more feared by his fellow citizens. And on fair-day, this poor bastard was pushed out onto a stage and told to sit there while everyone in Colombia gawked at him. Let's face it, the Handymen have it just as bad as the Big Daddies, if not worse: Mr Bubbles and co were brainwashed and effectively mindless by the time of Jack's arrival, so they didn't have to cope with seeing their entire lives slip through their fingers; and at least the Big Daddies had friends and companions in the form of the Little Sisters. The Handymen have lost everything. Also, buried in the Handyman's various combat quotes is a phrase that makes their suffering all the more worse- "Comstock took my body away...wasn't even sick!" That's right, there may be Handymen who were simply abducted from their families, gutted like fish, and bolted into a walking iron lung just because Comstock and Fink wanted more workers.
cfcblue8
Comstock hates anybody that says anything against him. So it's no surprise he would have "commissioned" Fink to use "Progressives" in the Handymen experiments.
Daisy Fitzroy may have even have blood on her hands. She may have forced people to become Handymen herself, or "reprogrammed" several suffering to be her own personal battlebots.
The worst is Samuel Gerst. He gave up his body for his wife....and was gunned down because of it.
Psythr666 that voxophone you find next to his body ripped my heart out.
baneoftheoblivion
No joke, I cried the first time I heard it. And the 2nd time. The 3rd time I sent my crows to butcher the Vox as punishment. No man deserved to be treated like prey.
Zombiewithabowtie they aren't evil....just in a really large amount of pain...
The metal screeching and the steam in the back of his voice really adds to the effect.....
Docktor it creeps me out
one of the most memorable lines from this game for me was his wife's voxophone
"....i was the proudest woman in colombia to be your wife..." D':
i think she was involved with him getting the suit put on in the firstplace (he did it for her) so maybe ALL OF THEM.
@@bisonyesterday You find his body when you go back to shantytown after you become the leader of the vox
@@bisonyesterday You never said if you found it!
I was more than happy to kill the Vox that were taking pictures around his corpse.
Samuel and Hattie, the REAL power couple of Columbia. They need their own spin off story.😊
1:12 *"Every step is like coals!"* Considering how often they jump on platforms with a lot of force, I can't even imagine the pain they feel.
I cringe at the thought of it.
These guys are some of the most depressing enemies in any video game.
Senorita Evanita agreed.
Senorita Evanita The splicers in Bioshock 1 are worse.
who do you guys think will win in a fight handyman? or nemesis from resident evil?
Splicers are not in a constant pain and cold state of life, beging their own enemies to kill them and stop their pain...
Splicers are just fucking insane.
Pretty much putting them out of their misery.
Brandon howard god...I feel sorry for him....at least big daddies don't act like this
I.D.P.D handsome Jack Big Daddies are unable to speak so you don’t know
Johnny Topside delta wasn’t like that
@@eliasdailey3911
Delta was a prototype from multiplayer it is revealed that they hate being alive
Big Daddies were made in a specific way as to forget what their past life along with not even remembering what the feeling of pain is, they just focus on taking care of the little sisters
These guys aren't angry so much as they are sad.
I hated these guys in the game, because i was too occupied during the fight to listen to them but now... I feel really sorry for them.:(
me too :(
And I never even knew that they had dialogue.
Same :(
There tells and screams hurt me on the inside
"MY HEART FEELS LIKE A BLOCK OF ICE" that quote gave me the chills
Pun not intended
icy what you did there
Damn dude that joke was cold.
In the game he would say go away so I listened and went away from him on the sky lines then he said get back here, man handymen are a pain to please
Zachary Wolf you should see the concept art for the workers of fink manufacturing....looked much more painful
@@i.d.p.dhandsomejack3914 I was googling and trying to find that but no luck. Do you happen to have a link cause I really wonder about that.
@@i.d.p.dhandsomejack3914 oi
This is kind of sad...
Kind of? KIND OF?!
It’s super sad
Love how every time he speaks, his engine creeks.
You could almost imagine what's it like in that body. Such an undermined enemy. Need more lore.
_”I want to sleep, but the noise of my lungs keeps me awake.”_
_”I can feel gears turning in my head and they hurt!”_
_”Turn me off. Turn me off, please!”_
Fuck. So disturbing.
Handymen are freaking scary. They stay on your tail all the time, and they are such a pain to kill. They are very strong and when they attack you, it always scares me at how they make a big impact in the game
Sielixatrix just aim for their Head or heart...besides Big daddies are much more tougher... and scarier
@@i.d.p.dhandsomejack3914 big daddies are adorable, fight me
I.D.P.D handsome Jack big daddies can’t jump 50 feet right into your face
@@Jason-hz6cm perhaps they need to call the handyman "Bouncer".🤣
These poor men are another example of the inhuman practices done by Fink Ind. From what they say, they'd rather be dead than a handy man, crying out their pain and even begging you to kill them. They'd rather not fight you, but when all they have is pain and hate, it makes it easy to act reckless and without worry. It's really depressing to be Frank.
Payne Powelson There are concept arts showing that Fink's workers would be literaly part of the factories. That's how Bioshock infinite should be. Not this colorful shit we got
@@WormsMaster100 I was googling and trying to find that but no luck. Do you happen to have a link cause I really wonder about that.
@@byfo1991 it's on bioshock wiki in the article about bioshock infinite removed content
He says " gears in my head" so chances are his skull is armor plated, hence the horrific scarring and lack of hair.
The heart is left open probably for easier maintenance and as an emergency shut-off in case a Handyman goes on the warpath against his "owners".
The shocking part is that most of their quotes are aimed at you for a reason...
For those who finished the story, you know why these Handymen all recognize you. Also if anyone brings up they are recent creations, regardless if they are or aren't, Comstock's aging was accelerated from exposure to the void machine.
I remember fighting the Handyman the first time at Fink, and him saying "Why would they do this to me?" is burned in my mind
And this, ladies & gentlemen, is why we should be thankful that cyborg technology didn't exist back in the early 20th century.
1:06 “My heart.... it hurts!”
That one always stayed in my head, it’s haunting.
that is sad by the way because he's showing how painful his body feels like (this is technacly how the big daddies think in their head). Believe me or not, but i found that surprising some people were like traumatised because of that enemy.
"Comstock took my body! Wasn't even sick!!"
I wonder if that links with a audio recording of a woman speaking of her husband taken ill, in turn Comstock promised his continued life as, the Handyman.
no
the ones that speak that line are tratiors who were sentenced to like
become a handyman
that audio recording is just some old dude named samuel who got stomach cancer and then was put into a suit
Killing these guys is a mercy. I actually think that's part of the reason why they attack you, because death is all they really want
Chaos Dreadnought:Bioshock Edition
Most depressing enemy in history. There should be DLC, where we play as one of them.
like bioshock 2?
Yes. Like Bio 2.
Yeah in the bioshock 2
I would say more like seeing one of your own allies turned into one off-screen.
"Why are you doing this?!" That haunts me
According to the Wiki these poor bastards live in constant pain. They are disproportionate, providing balancing issues and a monstrous appearance. They are unable to control their rage, which brings them to hurt everything around it. Yet the ads all showed the suit as perfectly shaped for a human and the ability to enjoy life. Yet they can't do that in any sense.
Go to Samuel's Gerst wife's voxohpone.
Poor bastard, could've joined the Vox instead the Vox took turns to get their picture with his body.
i was very disappointed that you only fight these guys like 3 times
The Word Of The Prophet well im sorry if my opinion disappoints you
The Word Of The Prophet And kinda hard. LOL we fight him five times in game btw.
The Word Of The Prophet booker was on easy dificullty
I'm just here because i past the last week trying to kill him without missing a shot in his heart and after 9532 tries i got it :) it was annoying, but i feel better now. I was playing on hard and took me some time to beat the game... sadly i am not that good with the gun.
I like to beat all the enemies, if i don't do it i feel like my game is not being completed, yes i'm weird, Bioshock is the only shooter game that i really like and it's one of the few games i play.
I feel bad for him
3:12 damn, didnt know they foreshadowed the ending
Two years later I know sorry… I think that’s a specific line from the vox handyman that you fight once Fitzroy turns on you, the one with the red hoodie over his head. Right? 🤔
In the story, the Vox eventually thinks you're some sort of imposter and that's a voice line from the Vox Handyman. It's not really foreshadowing.
It's sad listening to these quotes couse in the beginning of the video you hear the grime ones "comstock gonna pay"
You're basically putting him out of his misery at that point.
The handyman scares the shit out of me. He is big and the things he says are creepy. I hate it when he picks up and throws you. And when you shot at him and he says "so much noise" i feel bad for him but he is still terrifying af
Reminds me of the chaos dreadnoughts from dawn of war. Half dead guys trapped in metal tombs, unable to die.
+fakey mcfakename But they were badass. For the emperor!
+Patrick Johnson Chaos?! And Emperor?!
@@WormsMaster100 Warhammer 40k reference.
these guys feel heaps of pain because they are like the Big daddies they got spliced and they were molded into the suit they also experimented on there hearts and left them they also froze the inside of there bodies hurting them whenever they move.
ScubaTheJoker but at least the big daddies were completely brainwashed so they didn't get to experience actually knowing what's happening to them, instead becoming something other than human (basically mindless drones)
Zetey a big daddies could still feel emotion
Actually no, handymen and big daddies are different from each other. Handymen were originally people who were sick or injured and were built into the suits as a solution
@@MisterJohnDoe I think big daddies were made from the people who worked on building rapture and poor people who were experimented on. They weren’t supposed to have thoughts or free will, which is what made delta so different
"SEE HOW *YOU* LIKE IT."
4:25 *Scorpion called, he wants his signature quote back*
Kinda hard to listen to them.. so much anguish
Raikura Kuzami hey at least they weren't turned into big daddies.... that's much much worse.... I would rather be a big Daddy...a Rumbler
@@i.d.p.dhandsomejack3914 doubtful.
Big daddies are under a hypnotic state.
They are unaware of basically everything.
Concentrating on what they are SUPPOSED to do.
As this enemy is conscious enough to feel every single bit of pain, every second.
This is one of the most disturbing form of life support i have seen in video games
I pity this poor tormented soul
Truly disturbing. They have an existence of complete and utter torment. Killing them is definitely a mercy.
You've never heard a Handyman scream before, have you?
Makes even the Big Sisters look passive.
poor guy
Yep, that's definitely Brad Garrett. Next thing you know you'll hear "RAYMOND!"
Yeah i was so waiting to hear that every time I play the game
You're making him angry. You wouldn't like him when he's angry.
The Handymen were great enemy design. They're intimidating, but they're actually terribly depressing, former humans living in constant agony. They basically want to die.
And I must scream.
Man, Rapture got it right. I imagine Big Daddies would say stuff like this if they were able to talk.
I am currently in the process of playing Bioshock: Infinite, and after learning of these quotes, I shall kill every Handyman that I can, if only to put them out of their misery...
Starting at 6:00 you can just hear in his screams that nothing inside of him is properly made. He’s nothing more than a machine with a heart, a brain, and the ability to feel the pain of the gears inside of him, and his cold metal body
You're just putting them out of their misery by killing them.
He Confused Booker Dewitt For Comstock ( Considering There The Same Person )
ya Think?
Don't Look At It Then If You Don't Wanna Know Jesus.....,.
I don’t think so, they barely look anything alike
I don't think so, that quote is from the Vox Handyman, they followed Dewitt on one of the many dimensions
Handyman: get away!
*booker run away*
Handyman: get back here!
Booker: : |
It’s a shame that you can’t hear most of these in game. When you listen to them like this you realise what a hideous nightmare these people are living.
"You're making so much noise!" My teacher.
A weirder version of a big daddy
more like more depressing and sad version of a big daddy
3:02 he said comstock took his body even if he wasn't having any sickness or anything. that can really show how cruel and psychopath comstock is.
I love Big Dads...but they're like aliens. You only really know the truth of them towards the end.
Handymen are hidden...but the one in the fair, Samuel and their cries of pain hit extremely hard for me.
These guys are basically one giant case of phantom limb syndrome.
A pretty dark character in a darker game.
I imagine Thomas Haden Church as every Handyman though, sounds exactly like him
I almost felt bad for them but then I remember all of the times I died to them in 1999 mode
If they are suffering so much, then why are do none of them let Booker kill them?
+George Hamilton
Most likely they can't control themselves. That and they attack Booker in a suicide run.
In Fink's labs, one Handyman was scheduled to have mental reconditioning. So these guys are brainwashed into being slaves for fink and Comstock.
They scream to be left alone because they know that if someone gets too close, their bodies will attack.
Basilisk Space Marine Interesting idea.
George Hamilton
Weirdly enough, due to the multiple realities, there are Handymen that experience this.
If so. Why not use Automaton? It's possible. Evident of the Venidng machines and the patriots.
I feel so bad for this guy
The gears are grinding my skin sheesh I feel really bad
"go away"
NO U!
So you are telling me the handymen are unfortunate people to be twisted into something looks great but causes them great pain so they fight anyone and anything in hoping the person defend themselves and kill the handyman as a result, fuck comstock
Chaos dreadnought?
I feel so bad for them :/
....Brad Garrett... is that you?
Dude, that was the FIRST thing that popped into my head when I heard them talk. I couldn't take them seriously after that but...uh...I kind of had to...because they were pummeling me into the pavement.
***** Lol
Nevermind!! that's T.C Carson the goddamn voice of kratos!!!!
I feel a bit sorry for him ..
They start saying you look good in your suit, and how men judge him all the time.
Essentially he starts hitting on you.
I bet he's angry that he lost his epic mustache.
Handy men = in pain
what they say is fukking dark
It’s sad and I felt bad
I really hate these thing took me so long to kill them but listen to these quotes makes me feel kinda sad
Hypnotize Level 3, use the Houdini Splicer tonic to go invisible, and just listen to him talk until the Hypnotize wears off. Or until another Splicer dicks around.
Wrong game, friendo.
Handyman: GO AWAY!! PLEASE GO AWAY!
Me: No! YOU go away!
How is he in so much pain when he has no nerves? He is just a head and a heart right?
YOUR MAKING SO MUCH NOISE!!!!!
I'd have less of a problem too...if a Handyman just growled and hissed like a werewolf or something.
But having a human head begging you to go away on a mecha's boy....*shivers*. Nightmare fuel.
Sometimes you can " use" a Handyman to clear a field of enemies. The one at the bank does all the heavy lifting for me. :3
I'm busy atm with work and stuff, but I'm planning to upload those eventually. After I upload sounds from Songbird, the Siren, and the Boys of Silence.
'-'
Huh. Never noticed that before. Well, I was going to play BioShock 2 again anyway since Steam recently added achievements for it, so I guess I can keep an ear out for these voice lines.
STOP TORMENTING ME!!!!
Why does he never say "I"/"I'll" when stating what he's going to do to Booker?
There’s an idea that some handymen were mentally re-conditioned to make them better solider for comstock. It may be that their trying to fight back against the programming, hence the cut-off speech.
Being a Big Daddy seems pretty chill overall (as long as you’re under for the surgery) but
*this? Jesus.*
0:00-0:04 is me whenever an online ad plays!
WHY are you doing this - was the one that stuck with me.
I heard the coals one several times. But if a Founder's Handyman yelled for Comstock, then I don't think the lines are specific. The imposter line I heard from the Emporia Bank Handyman on my last playthrough.
They sound like a clinically depressed Immortan Joe.
I really feel bad for these guys :( comstock and fink gave them a fate worse than their illness or injuries. they even converted those who weren't sick. It's depressing hearing them cough hard or the machinery in their bodies making them do things. (on a side note these guys could be very primitive versions of the cybermen without the removal of emotions)
Not sure if these were the one you were looking for, but these are the violin sounds that are played when a battle ends. If anybody else wants them as well.. I put a dl link in the description (although i'm not sure this is exactly legal lol)
These guys reminds me Supermutants from Fallout
" comstock took my body ! wasnt even sick !" im killing myself. that has to be fucking terrible.
Yeah, i wonder what's under those mask though. On my first playthrough, i tried to murder my first one but then i was clobbered by the enemies surrounding me.
It's probably the pulse in his veins that makes him extremely sensitive. Also, he hasn't slept properly. When you get insomnia or something, you're whole body feels like its on pins and needles and any tiny sound or touch is excruciating.
It would have been awesome if one of their lines was "I'm Gonna Wreck It!"
