  • This video is a collection of all advertisements and Public Address announcements in the Bioshock 2. I extracted it from the game's sound files.
P.S. Most of those announcements are unused in Bioshock 2.

Maybe, but you see, much of the people spliced just because of Sinclair Solutions "Plasmid's test program" which I would call "Ryan's Army with magic from the hands". Before the war there were not many splicers and by the way they weren't so agressive because everything around them was still peaceful and quiet no need for killing or stealing when City still has alot of ADAM and food...

@@mantask.8166 well, there were certainly food issues, though mainly due to wealth. people were almost certainly sick of fish every day. With arcadia closed off, vegetables likely would have been limited. With the "no pets" police, beef and fowl would be difficult to acquire, though pork may have been available through unseen means... pigs dont require too much space/cleanliness. We do however see splicing being used on vegetables in ways that make GMO crops look organic. A single ear of corn which provides sustenance for a family of four kind of modification. while their caloric needs may be met, the people lacked variety, and the poor likely lacked anything but heavily spliced and processed foods.
Swarm ends up being promoted to assist civilians in gardening, so it would seem that SOME level of plasmid use was widespread. Maybe not "shoot lightning from your fingertips" but: "regrow your hair" "be stronger" "slim down" "look like a different person entirely" "better nutrition" ect. i feel it wouldnt be irrational to assume between 30 and 50% of the population had spliced in some way, if not more. the poorer you were, the higher the chances you spliced for nutrition or nefarious purposes, while those who were wealthy would splice for vanity and personal defense.
The Adam shortage also implies there was a great deal of splicing. despite the number of little sisters grew each day, the need couldnt be met. this only makes sense if more and more people were splicing for safety. it seems insane that the broadcasts that encouraged splicing would keep playing when there was a shortage, but if it makes the population dependent on Ryan... it would give him an numerical edge over Atlas.
