Only thing I can humbly add is if you don't have a clutch alignment tool, you can sort through your deep socket selection & find one that fits snugly in the clutch, use that to align the plate on the flywheel - it works just as well as any proper "tool" (better often..) - beyond that, Kevin is the Man when it comes to clutches.
It´s been 11 years since I was a Toyota tech now, seeing this really brings back memories. I have done many clutch jobs on these, especially the MMT version. I am glad that Toyota designed the driveline on these Aygos, since the car is a Peugeot/Citroen. They are just as easy to work on as any other Toyota.
Following this video I repaired my daughter´s Toyota Aygo clutch. Pretty good Job, well explained through clear images and without a word!! Thanks so much, Kevin.
Looks like Toyota forgot that the clutch needs replacement on this model!!! So many things to take apart just to get there. You are a great mechanic. 👍
Thats what companies do with new model cars They make these things harder to get to so that u have to take it back to the dealership to get it serviced My 2020 dacia logan didnt come with a service manual
You replace the clutch on my lads.. Aygo. Very pleased I have just been given a Toyota Aygo so I will be contacting you very soon as that will need a clutch .. keep up the good work
You are the "Harry Tuttel" of clutchs! Amazing work...a little .. approx cost... of each job.. in the description...would be great 👍 let's hope youtube get you those views and subs you clearly deserve.
Andreas Schröder@ Was mich interessieren würde, wie teuer er gegenüber Deutschland ist. Auch die reine Arbeitszeit hier 43 Minuten wird nicht stimmen. Hier benötigen die mit Bühne nen halben Tag und länger.
Semi-auto. Used this video to do a semi auto. Very similar but you need an OBD tool to first set the actuators to parts replacement position. Then having replaced the clutch you need to use the OBD tool again to get the trickery to learn the new positions.
when doing these clutches have you ever come across knackered ball joints / drop links and told the client , and theyve asked you to grab some and fit them while there
As a layman it appears to me as though German engineers design with complexity in mind 'lets require a vehicle deconstruction for a clutch replacement' where as Japanese engineers have simplicity in mind 'the clutch will need to be replaced, lets make that easy.'
Can you help me please I have a 2009 ford mondeo mk4 2.0 tdci zetec 6 speed and there are two possible flywheels for it one is for oe ag91 6477 ad/ae and the other one is not for oe ag91 6477 ad/ae any help would be appreciated thanks
My aygo clutch has got kind of ”sticky”. With that i mean that when i’m driving and should change gear and press the clutch, the engine revs does not fall fast, but just slowly and then after 2-3s fall to idle. I can feel that the clutch doesnt disengage fully directly, like it is ”sticking” to the bell and flywheel. Shift gear will only go smooth if i wait until engine reach idle and clutch has released fully. Otherwise pedal feels exactly as it should and also drag-position is ok. What do you think could be wrong?
Everything needs rejuvenation, or replacement. Everything has wear. Timing chains as well. They say "lifetime". But one car can have 30k miles lifetime. Or 1 million miles lifetime. Depends.

About to tackle DMF and clutch on my VW Touran. Your content has given me a head start so a little treat gone your way.
Thanks for the perfect tutorial, I followed it from start to Finish….although I was many more hours in the process, it all went off without a hitch👍
Excellent 🍻🍻🍻🍻

This one is quite simple as far as clutches go but it never seizes to amaze me how good you are at what you do.
Thankyou for the continued support

Great work! I wonder how you manage to insert those tiny nail clips where the cables of the gearlever meet the gearbox. Thanks for the video!
You are a unique person, you do the impossible, you are very far from me, otherwise it will be an honor for me to meet a professional like you.

You can do it manually. I used to do them.
But it’s a bit of a hit and miss unless you have the software ., you’re absolutely correct there.

"ASMR Toyota Aygo clutch replacement"
For me clutch looks good, thick and the spring also looks good, what was wrong with this?
Hi Kevin, What torque do you normally torque wheels nuts to?
Is the gearbox oil 75w 80? and how much do i need
Thrust bearing: when removing the old one notice which way up it is. One edge on the rear has a chamfer. The other is straight.
most decent ones come with the clip attached & only fit on one way - eliminating that issue.
👌👌👌👌👌

Anyone knows?
Hi, i was wondering with manual gearboxes, would you ever need to change the oil?
Yes of course. Every 100 000 km
Everything needs rejuvenation, or replacement. Everything has wear.
Timing chains as well.
They say "lifetime".
But one car can have 30k miles lifetime.
Or 1 million miles lifetime.
Depends.
Where do I get that centering tool? Seemed really handy.
You can get a Draper one off eBay for about £15.00
@@WMCS Cheers I will.
It is called Yaris in North America, isn’t it?
Who diagnosed the car?
Reason I ask is because what if you change clutch and symptoms still there
transmissions automatic ?
how much would this cost in a garage please don't think i could do all that
I’m not sure how much garages would charge. They all have their own rates I suppose.
@@WMCS ok thank you cheers for getting back to me
