Kudos to you. I used this as a tutorial in doing my first clutch on a 108 that I'm selling. You make it look so easy - I imagine many years of practice! Thanks for the help!
would you ever consider doing a video on the protective gear you use? such things as boots, knee pads, clothing, etc. maybe show some of your foam mats. cheers from across the pound
VERY well documented and explained Kev.I love watching your approach.BTW i noticed those fancy new Tie Backs you used .Real Snakeskin -wow !!!! Enjoy the rest of the Bank Holiday
Je viens d'en faire un , ta vidéo m'a énormément servi . Merci car sans ta vidéo je ne me serais pas lancer (par contre j'ai enlever les cardans ). Merci beaucoup 👍
Afternoon Kevin I remember packing the clutch cable out with washers to get that last few thousand miles out of the clutch on my old escorts and capris lol
Fantastic video. The best I have ever seen showing the process. One question- what red grease did you use? Thank you for this amazing video, it just what I need! The video is 54 minutes long but how long did the whole process take? Can it be done in an hour?
Mr Williams i just wonder have you done clutch service on cars that are on modified shocks and springs? Wouldn’t it be harder when it’s that low. Asking for myself as a trainee on to becoming a mechanic
Hi Kevin, Many thanks for this new video, watching you since the beginning and always love watching your work. Your gloves seems to be perfect for mecanic works, more resistant and durable than standard nitrile gloves. Would you please give me the brand, or an internet link to pushase those gloves ? Best regards from France Nicolas
hello ford mondeo 2017 model 1.6 diesel tdci engine how much is the clutch and flywheel replacement fee, does the flywheel change with each clutch change?
Hi, Mr Williams! you allow and don't show small but very important details! For example, at 48:23 you did not show whether you change the sealing ring under the filler plug or not. It seems to me that people familiar with this topic may have a question at this point! And so it is very commendable in the field to do such work alone.
Looks like its been well-used during its young-life - Mr Commuter ? What, no "Sealed-for-life" (i.e. first owner only) gear-box/final drive. . . VAG and their franchisees would be having a fit seeing factory-fill gearbox oil, in whatever condition, coming out (Even though it needs to be changed @ 4 years, 48,000 miles ).
To plaguerise "Lazy Sunday" by Small Faces "Oh ! Wouldn't it be nice if the whole front-end, rad, engine, gearbox and final drive, suspension turrets and electrics + subframe just slid-out on a tray, leaving only the exhaust, steering, hydraulic master line and gear-change linkage to disconnect"

do you also have a video of a Vauxhall Zafira 1.7 CDTI 2008?
Nice easy one for a change
hello ford mondeo 2017 model 1.6 diesel tdci engine how much is the clutch and flywheel replacement fee, does the flywheel change with each clutch change?
I hope you can feature an old school car like toyota corolla 1997 or a honda civic 1997
Great video but What a ball ache compared with a rear wheel drive car. I sometimes wonder if we ever advanced at all.
This filming is professional and can be sold for educational purposes.
Hello why did you use Aisin? Valeo,Sachs Luk are of lesser quality? Which brand is quality according to You ?
It’s a Japanese engine

TM "Typical French fiddly" with the spring on that clutch release bearing
another great video. is it normal for a clutch to go that quick, 42k and only 8 year old car?
it all depends on the driving style of the owner and where this car is mostly used (most likely in a city in this case)
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
👍😁🔧
Salut j'adore tes vidéos j'aimerais savoir avec quelle produit nettoyant boîte s'il te plaît merci.
Salut Cris., je utilise nettoyage frains..? (Brake cleaner )
Nettoyant frein
@@WMCS merci beaucoup pour ta réponse rapide tu fait vraiment du bon travail et de bon vidéos tu l'explique très bien bonne journée à toi

Those air-con cooling lines (Top-down view) running fore-aft look a bit fragile/vulnerable.
.
🙋♂️🙋♂️!
Only 40,000 ish miles is not much for a clutch?
it's kilometers. so more like 20k. !!
at least the transaxle is only 1 1/2 stone ! (30 pounds)
Out of interest what was the mileage on this car ?
Can’t remember in top of ma head .. but it’s right at the end of the video when I zoom in on dash
Didn't you watch until the end?
@@lennonpolo
Lol no !
It was 42k miles, im not surprised since it seems like some1 who recently passed their test was driving it and burning the clutch alot

Damn 4242 miles. Amazing how many people dont realise their bad clutch riding habits.
42421 but still low for a clutch replacement
Just put a second hand gearbox in the wife's 107 Kevin, fought me all the way and the passenger side diff seal is leaking 😪😪
Ohh noo.. they’re not too bad taking the driveshaft out tho ..
40k on a clutch, either a lot of stop and go driving or the driver rides the clutch.
