Whenever I explain pedals, or any other gear, I try to do it from a guitar players point of view. Which is the same as how I view gear myself. If I'm adding a pedal to my rig, or trying out a new amp, I don't really care much about the deep specs. I just care what it sounds like and how it practically works. I don't care how the algorithm inside makes it sound like a spring reverb, I just care about how that spring reverb sounds and what the controls do. I think it makes it much easier to just enjoy a piece of gear that way! Then, if you really want to geek out, you can dig deeper later on!

It's a great combo for the price.The next step would be separate pedals , then separate programmable ones.So the budget price is excellent, as is your playing, which has more effervescent energy than many other channels.Well done !

@Ember Woodside Hey Ember, That noise isn't from the delay. That noise is the single coils on my guitar picking up electrical hum from my studio PC. That noise happens regardless, it's not actually the pedal causing it.
@Ember Woodside I think you're probably still hearing noise from the pickups rather than noise from the pedal, unfortunately that's just the fun of using single coils haha.

Thanks for the demo. I got the Atlantic this week and am enjoying the various settings. Is the Atlantic patched in after the Helix or vice verse. I can't tell from the video but are you running the Atlantic in mono out to the Helix input then out to stereo? Thanks again for the demo.
Hey man, That's awesome, glad to hear you're enjoying it! It's a great pedal with a load of cool delay tones. In the video I am using the Helix simply as an amp. The Helix is just running an amp sound and the delay is infront of it. It's not going out anywhere else, just straight into my DAW to record. It's all DI'd for this video. Hope that helps!
How would a Boss RV-3 compare to the Atlantic? I'm wanting to build a compact pedalboard for ambient/post-rock music, and I'm wondering if I could get away with a reverb/delay combo like this.
Hey Alan, It's a really great delay/reverb mix and the hold features on the reverb side are pretty cool for creating some interesting soundscapes. I think it's also pretty cool that they're in a one unit so if you're tight on pedalboard space, you can easily fit this on!
Hey Ric, The Reverb’s in the Atlantic are great. I prefer the reverb sounds to the delay sounds personally. If you need some simple reverb sounds, the Atlantic is a winner. The RV6 is a bit more in depth, but if you want something simple to set up that sounds great, check out the Atlantic
Hey Nicolas, It's hard to say for sure because "better" is a totally subjective thing that each person forms their own thoughts on. Personally, I think the NUX sounds fantastic. It's very affordable and the reverbs are also awesome. I do love TC and the Flashback 2 has way more options and more features built in than the NUX Atlantic. If you need more delay types and you want the extra features the TC is the way to go. If you want a simple but awesome Delay, check out the NUX. Or... get both!
Ok thank you very much. I play on two amps in stereo. On the first amp I play with a reverb (strymon bluesky) , on the second with a delay. I think the flashback will be the choice in my configuration.
That sounds like a cool setup. Both the Flashback and the NUX are stereo delays too so you could even use the delay to split the signal to stereo and then put the reverb on one of the split chains after the delay. That could also give some fun tone options. The cool thing with stereo pedals is it allows you lots of room to experiment. with how you split the signal and putting pedals after the split.
Good question... it doesn't actually say in the manual. I had it running off a 300ma output and it seemed to function fine. I don't think its super high current. It would be useful if the manual stated though!
