Welcome to Cordoba, Spain! Cordoba is such a nice city to explore and visiting the Mosque Cathedral is an absolute must! Let me know what you think of Cordoba down below👇🇪🇸
Lived in this beautiful city for months. Didn't feel it at the time, but ever since I left the place, haven't been one day that I don't miss this place.
La Mezquita is absolutely stunning and incredibly underrated. When I visited, I was surprised that there weren't as many people visiting as other attractions in Spain.
The food is also very unique, because it's Andalusi, along with Andalusian Spanish. Dishes that are exclusively one or the other. To say that eclectic, that'd be hard to differentiate, unless start with the high cuisine experience methods found elsewhere in Spain and Europe. That's why I preferred Andalusi when I was there, that includes the use of dried fruits and nuts in the sauces, especially for lamb. Delicious. My grandmother used to make a fabulous stewed chicken dish, even if supposed to use hen, typical of Aragon with the Arabic influence. It had saffron, crushed almonds, parsley, and chopped eggs, in the sauce . Called "en pepitoria". Not even my mother could make it the same way. Have to light fry the pieces of chicken, just lightly floured, before added into after making the sauce. Some olive oil from frying the chicken has to be in the sauce. If want totally gluten free, almond flour. Also can add pine nuts. Served with white rice. Last time I had Lebanese food, in London, had something similar, but with lamb. Much heavier dish. That was definitely our nearby go to carry out place during lockdowns. Besides Lebanese food, including fresh fish, also made delicious pizzas, and could make them however wanted on the spot. When allowed to open the outdoor restaurants, had hookah pipe during the time of the meals at night. Such a nice atmosphere. They got to know me as a client very quickly, and excellent relationship with me. I seriously liked the area where my daughter lives, and did serious circumference walking around wanting to get to know it all. No matter what I eat or drink, shed ten pounds on my trips to Europe. Exciting. That's why. Not boring unchangeable hollow out wickedness here in the USA for thirteen years ago in March. Boring selfish purposes wickedness is being nice as adjectives. Literally Zombieland. Whenever I have to deal with any about anything concerning money, it's ALWAYS ONLY ALL about the ZOMBIES, and how see it own way. That's why it's hard to get anything done, because no matter what shit do, blame shift on me. It's always something wrong with me, never ownselves. That's why I am alone, because God out to eliminate ZOMBIES, in whatever ways darkness wickedness in the world, creates the opportunity for God to do so, while all remain cowardly wickedness about governments wickedness. Dark blind sheep. Now take that being the case, and imagine how all would react to a foreign invasion. Why keeping general populations mentally emotionally and physically down, except conveniently for political activisms, is an Oligarchy Globalists psychopaths agenda worse idea ever. Big time folly of fools, traveling on corrupted destructive bought off political views governments, ALL in own vehicles of non stop greed and piracy.
Another beautiful tour of the many attractions Matt. I’m off tomorrow on a 4 hour train journey passing through beautiful lochs / Lakes and mountain views until reaching the beautiful highland town of Oban from there you can take a ferry ⛴ to many of the Scottish islands. Stay safe and well Matt. 🇺🇸🏴🍺.
I love the history of Spain even if it was not perfect. My family originated from Portugal and Spain. I love the area. I want to return and explore more.

Pero......hace 2000 años era templo Romano, luego templo cristiano, después .....Mezquita y......al final Catedral. Por favor pon subtítulos , inglés o español. Muchos no dominamos el ingles .😁🙅🇪🇸
I have been to Cordoba in mid October 2019. I have to say, wished we ate there. When you travel with family, we sort of stuck with the outline of one individual. I will do this alone next time.
That’s an excellent vlog Matt, Cordoba looks amazin and I can’t wait to visit, you do a really great job if providing helpful travel info and your warm personality shines through, that Ox tail looked tasty!😋✌🏼🏴
Wow! That’s not too far from me. I’ve passed through on way from Madrid to Sevilla. After this school year I’m returning next year to work in the CIEP public school, I’ve got lots of exploring to do!
2022: Train & Bus from Sevilla on Soccer Day. The local restaurants@ Mesquite Cathedral, now catholic-Mass-church. It’s possible as city on cliffs. Bring your Thermos for H20 & sometimes Vino!
You mentioned getting tickets in advance for the Mesquita and the Palace of the Kings. Can you do that from another city in Spain before you arrive, or the day before in Cordoba, or on-line. How does one reserve in advance? I'll probably be setting two days aside for Cordoba. There's so much to see.
Yes, you can easily get these reservations online from anywhere. We did so from home in the US for the Mesquita. We did not get them for the Alcazar and bought tickets the same day but had to wait in line an hour and a half for entry for hours later in the day. We had 2.5 days there.
Update. I bought my tickets when I arrived with no problem. I didn't have to wait too long. The other thing though is that the Alcazar and the Palazzo Viana are closed on a Monday. So. Cordoba can be done in one day if you go any other day other than Monday. Granada on the other hand needs two days. There's a lot to see in the Alhambra. You need time to visit the neighbourhoods in Granada.
Hi there! Were you happy with the order in which you visited the sites, or is there a different order that you would recommend? I’ll be visiting for the day, so trying to see as much as I can!
Hey Sarah, I believe you can purchase them online. Otherwise, you might be able to purchase tickets when you arrive, a day or two before you want to visit the Alcazar.
Hey again Matt 👋 We went to Spain this summer and we loved it! Especially the food 🤤 We didn’t try the Cordoba pie though! The street of flowers were so beautiful - the best part of Spain for us was the architecture and the little streets like in the Jewish sector. Watching you eat dinner made us so hungry! Did dinner take ages because of the service? We found that every meal was super slow because the Spaniards love to take their time 😂
Hey guys! I absolutely love traveling Spain, and Cordoba was no exception! I also realized that sometimes things move at a more relaxed pace in Spain too
@@MattKramerTravels Hahahah I think one of favourite Spanish expressions is mañana mañana which basically means I’ll do it tomorrow, but it gets said everyday 😂
Matt, my wife and I watched several of your videos. She is from southern Spain so she really enjoyed them. I did as well, they are very well done. One suggestion, if you are in an area where mask are optional or not required, you might want to consider taking yours off from around your chin. I'm seeing all these beautiful places with people in the background, enjoying the area as you are, and the vast majority are not wearing anything. I just found it distracting. Thanks😃
Thanks so much Tom, I'm glad you and your wife enjoy the videos! Thanks for the recommendation, I'll keep note of this distraction in the future! Cheers!
