These aren't bad calls. These are calls so close that they had to go to replay, and even then some are so close it's still hard to be 100% sure.
Just because you don't understand the rules the same way umpires do doesn't make them bad calls...
@@bhamsoxfan72 I mean, there are legit missed calls here, but if the only way to see that is to slow it down and go frame by frame, then saying it is a bad call is just dumb. Are the umpires just supposed to shrug and say, "Woo! That was really close! I really don't know on that one."
Besides which, there were a couple of calls in here involving obstruction and interference, which means the call would look wrong without further explanation, but the video doesn't bother explaining that.
It would have been nice to see if any of these were overturned.

This is not a "worst call" this is so close you would have to go to replay, and a bunch of them are close enough that i wouldn't call them "worst calls"
Don't try reasoning with them. They think they can watch a video of clips cobbled together over decades of games and figure it all out. It would be hilarious to drop them in a game situation where they had to make a real time call with limited information.

I'm a soccer referee - instructor - mentor, and I've worked with or talked to hundreds of new referees on their first games (usually lowest level, youngest age group). Most of them say "Man, that was harder than I thought it would be." I've never heard anyone say, "That was so much easier than I thought it would be."
@@bhamsoxfan72Lol. That is what new umpires will say. Some of the HS teams here will put on tournaments for younger teams, and players will be assigned to games with one of us. Just about every one of them will say, "Wow. Some of those are really hard to call. How do you guys do it?"
It's amazing how differently people think when they don't have a stake in the game.

Well, thinking isn't really your strong suit, is it? You watch a video of random clips cobbled together and played in super slo-mo from multiple angles and then just pull your pants down, squat, and drop your opinion. Nobody is looking to you to be a thought leader in anything.

@@XXelpollodiabloXX umps have unlimited power and decide the game by themselves there's not even a reason for team to play because we leave the game in the hands of non players who are only there because of the strength of their Union umps are possibly the worst officials in sports mainly because they serve absolutely no purpose with the invention of the camera we know exactly when they're right and wrong and fans just have to sit and take it when the ruin games you could be the best umpire in the world and you'll still get stuff wrong amd even one wrong play is too much

With how many bad calls are given on the first and third bases I think the base coaches should have the right to challenge any of the umpires decisions, especially if it’s close.
How stupid can you get? None of these are egregious calls, and most of them are so close that the teams didn''t even react. This, along with the 10's or 100's of similar close calls that umpires get right (how come we never see videos on THAT?) is proof of just how good these men are at their job. The people making these clickbait videos are not even qualified to hold these umpires' cups for them.

I would bet have the calls you think umpires get wrong are correct. A player's opinion doesn't mean much.
