daft punk really knows good music
too bad they can't create any themselves
@@skrat1001 *laughs in Random Access Memories*
@KAGISO MARUMO *waits for you to actually make something to compare instead of just "dissing" what others have actually done, instead of just complaining*
JBlake plays hey dipshit, as a person who has in fact made music before does that mean I can call them out for doing an incredibly small amount of work? Stop saying you have to be able to do something in order to call someone out on not being able to do it, it’s the biggest bullshit argument technique.
@KAGISO MARUMO There's only one song (the closer) that uses any samples at all on the whole album.
3 to the 1. 1 to the 3...
I met a bad bitch last night in the d
3 to the 1 to the one to the 3
I like good pussy and I like good trees
Robson Soares smoked so much weed you wouldn’t believe!
And I get more ass than a toilet seat.
face to face by daft punk is the most impressive sampled work imo, there are so many tracks that go into that song and theyre all combined beautifully! gr8 work vlad!
Finley Michaels why can't we have people like you, you see that daft punk uses samples in a good way unlike everyone else who think they are criminals and whatnot
One of the best DP sample is the song "High Fidelity". The worst IMO is Robot Rock...
Yeah the sampling is crazy in that song.
WinKevin1 Robot Rock is good but the sampling is really mediocre. Not much effort gone into transforming the original.
I really like Robot Rock, and their Maximum Overdrive Remix is excellent, but it is noticeable how quickly they made Human After All.
Aah do I love Justice and Daft Punk
ICx6q +
Same
Justiceeeeee
Wow, that California Dreaming "sample" is atrocious
It is absolutely bs
Shit load of fuck
I do remember SkyDoesMinecraft using it
btw, the backing track was recorded earlier, for barry mcguire, they just muted his vocal when it came for mamas and papas to record it, and different solo
As a music producer I can ASSURE you at 1:38 that Justice did not SAMPLE The brothers Johnson, though clearly they were influenced by that track, the track they produced follows different notation and the production clarity tells me it was done from scratch, not sampled.
u rly opened my eyes to how much electronic producers sample. I had no idea I thought that was more of a hip hop thing.
Daft Punk's samples are used in a very interesting way (example: Edwin Birdsong's "Cola Bottle Baby" forms the backing track of "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger," but the vocals from "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" would later be used in Kanye West's "Stronger").
no more interesting than the typical house artist...
@@iamnotascientisi high fidelity and face to face alone put them over everyone else in terms of sampling
@@theyef3479 just some classic Todd Edwards-ian UK Garage sampling there
@@iamnotascientisi 𝕤 𝕙 𝕦 𝕥
the trap version for California Dreamin' it's an insult to the original...
Trap version of baiana sounds like a insult to the original too
@@VOMITK0 Trap versions are an insult to the originals

But for what and why?
🤣🤣🤣
Daft Punk just takes one gem and makes it into a diamond...
except for robot rock where they took a diamond and repackaged it
(DnB) Pendulum - Granite = Koji Kondo - Castle Theme from Super Mario World (no, really)
(DnB) London Elektricity - Billion Dollar Gravy = Mogul Thrash - Elegy
(French House) Daft Punk - Digital Love = George Duke - I Love You More
(Big Beat) The Chemical Brothers - Got Glint? = Bernard Fevre - Earth Message
(DnB) Pendulum - Different = The Winstons - Amen, Brother
(DnB) Noisia - Tommy's Theme = Tommy Tee - Takin' Ova (Instrumental, starts around 0:13) AND Franz Schubert - Ständchen (Also instrumental, starts in the beginning)

(Dubstep) Nero - Won't You (Be There) = Moby - Thousand
(Acid House) Future Sound of London - Papua New Guinea = Fuzzy Haskin - The Fuz and Da Boog (Drums) AND Meat Beat Manifesto - Radio Babylon (Bassline) (there's THREE more samples, but I don't if you'd want that, unless you wanna go for the first ever FIVE sample song example)
(IDM) Flying Lotus - GNG BNG = Uyirullavarai Usha - Indiralogathu Sundari (it's Indian, you may wanna copy and paste)
(Big Beat) Fatboy Slim - The Rockafeller Skank = Just Brothers - Sliced Tomatoes (Instrumental) AND Vinyl Dogs Feat. Lord Finesse - Vinyl Dogs Vibe (Vocals)

(French House) Justice - D.A.N.C.E. = Britney Spears Feat. Madonna - Me Against the Music (Acapella) AND Boney M. - Sunny (Hook/Riff)
This was a fucking pain to go through and I deserve a fucking trophy.
A Moose Hell yeah bro!
A Moose fuck yeah, love BoC, Aphex Twin, FSoL
Amen brother is sampled in everything
2:40 OK, there sampling and then there's taking another song wholesale and bass boosting it...
He added new drum and vocal samples, and some changes with the volume/frequency, but yeah. She straight up sampled the eurodisco.
They sidechained the original and added new drums to it
2:21 fun fact: Pendulum's 2 members made Knife Party
Dude, how have I loved both Daft Punk and ELO my whole life and never, not even once noticed that.
Least in the Soundcloud page, glue70's "Casin" is Disco House.
I am extremely late but we would call it nu disco
That's badass
lol yeah soundcloud i love their hashes
I fucking love your uploads, Vladimir.
"future funk, house? idm?" you forgot meme.
not only does this help find new songs but also a lot of good music by itself
I knew that Daft Punk sampled some high profile material, but I didn't know that they sampled Evil Woman, and Im kinda ashamed i didnt recognize it sooner
Edit: I almost died when i realized Voyager was stitched, but the original song doesn't really sound like it save the melody
the electronic ones are the best! keep it going man
"Get down saturday night" was sampled as "Make luv" by Room 5 .
Zhoel Bejtaj andthe song the weekend
There's a lot of trap here. And it all sounds exactly the same.
Trap, the nu-dubstep.
It’s because you got a bunch of money grabbers trying to jump on the new wave (it’s old now lol) without adding anything new and continuing to do the same things ad nausium
Lol only good trap and dubstep does is introduce me to nice songs with the samples that sound way better. A good use of a sample is when you take it to another level and heighten it.
Either means it's exactly the same or you can't tell the difference between songs
i wonder why......
I'm glad I know the song for "you reposted in the wrong neighbourhood" now. 🤣
Are you fan of Justice and Daft Punk? I Am A big fan, Gorillaz too.
Lukasyee same!!
Daft Punk and Gorillaz should collab together!
@@mackenziewachter2508 well, Epilogue killed your dreams.
@@clashgoneofficial Yup!
I am a fan of all of them I salute you.
Forgot to add Power by Kayne West sample by King Crimson's 21st Century Schizoid Man (1969)
Best electronic song
Electronic Song: "Spark" - Maxwell Young
Original "Vision Eyes" - Uyama Hiroto ft Golden Boy
Acapella: "Poetic Justice" Kendrick Lamar ft. Drake
And my other requests from earlier, too (you'll find my comment).
Yes.
Yes! More of these please.
great videos both part 1 & 2 !I love it !
just whatched the one and the two in a row, without really knowing why, gosh I hate quarantine...
I love that Kool & The Gang song. So glad it's gotten so popular.
Tyler Haralam Same! When I was listening to casin70 last year my dad tapped my shoulder and asked “are you playing joanna by kool and the gang?” I laughed, but i got to see them play live (some of the members) this summer! I was pretty much the only teen there since but lol worth it!
thanks bro, now I know the names of my childhood songs :,)
kinda sad that some of these song don't sound too different, people will just hate and call these artists criminals.
JPOG7 TV some of them build and improve, others are indeed just criminals ;)
Good artists borrow.
Great artists steal.
Strawberry Letter 23 is such a banger. Its in the murder trunk scene in Jackie Brown. Get Down Saturday is also a banger which is featured in Ex Machina.
Song: Pin-Occhio - Tu Tatuta Tuta Ta (1993)
Original: Trans-X - Living On Video (1983)
Thank you Vladimir!
It comes to no surprise as to why Daft Punk is so recognized, they really know good music!
Makes me grumpy quite how many of these are just the original slightly bassboosted. Daft Punk only have more respect from me now for how well they integrate samples considering how everyone else is apparently stuck in that aforementioned "lower the treble and slow it down a little bit and it's a new song"
Face To Face by Daft Punk actually has 5 samples, ELO, Winnie The Pooh and more rare songs. Quite fascinating how they flip that
Really enjoyed
Man, Daft Punk sampled Face to Face so well. I couldn’t even recognize the original sample.
interesting video concept, please keep going :D
Hucci and Gameface really did something with that rework of the California dreaming track
Yeah they turned it into raw sewage.
@@DougPoker ouch
Glad to hear glue70 here
I love how justice and daft punk duros are darn genius
I love Voyager *and* Get Down Saturday Night! How did I never notice?!
Im frustrated how most dubstep songs till now are basically: 'original song' BWAAAAHH!!
On bandcamp, this track called sing and sing by eric taxxon contains a faint sample of skrillex’s bangarang vocals that appear at 0:09 in skrillex. Also, the same site has an artist named channeled era, whose track “hype” contains reversed sample of flight by tristam and braken
I never knew that Face To Face was sampled from Evil Woman. I never put the two together until now.
Barbatuques - Baianá is also the sample from Bakermat’s Baianá
glue70 is described as Disco House. So I guess you could put nu-disco for it.
Just noticed this was posted on my birthday! Here's one maybe you can include in a future video? It's one of my all time fav tracks. :D Gouryella - Ligaya and the original sample is Marco Borsato - Voor Altijd
The last song was also sampled by Room 5 - Make Luv
Daft Punk are so good!! (Do they count as a singular artist or nah?)
Oscar Leonardo they are a duo
It's a duo.
They aren't a duo anymore
0:40 you reposted in the wrong sample.
1:07 also Benny benassi California dreaming and royal gigolos
Does anyone actually really know what genre glu70-casin is?
If I'm not mistaking the last one is also Make Luv from Room 5?
finally, casin!
What's the song of the intro?
is your intro Come Back Down by HOME?
Here are some samples I've got you might wanna use in your next video:
Pegboard Nerds - Who The Fuck Is Paul McCartney? | Kanye West - Diamonds from Sierra Leone, James Newton Howard - The Hanging Tree
Draper - Coloured Glass | Yuri Kane - Right Back
Jauz & San Holo - Ok! | Teminite - Animal
JOYRYDE - FLO | MURDA MOOK vs. Loaded Lux (Rap Battle)
Barely Alive - Back to Back | Run-DMC - Peter Piper
Jauz - Deeper Love | Aretha Franklin - A Deeper Love
Kill the Noise - Lose Ya Love | The Emotions - I Don't Wanna Lose Your Love
Voyager actually was in house created. Room 5's "Make Luv" sampled Cheatham's GDSN
Who sampled the other part of strawberry letter 23?
For the Mamas & Papas song, they’re also California Dreamin’ from Royal Gigolos
One to add for your next video would be Modjo's track Lady, Hear Me Tonight using a sample from Chic's Soup for One.
Voyager is my favorite song of all time, I listened to Get Down Saturday Night a thousand times, never made the connection between them.
I feel like the biggest fool right now.
actually, now that I look into it, that's not a sample, they might have just inspired from it, I heard it's a 100% original composition
Yeah I dunno why this video has that on here, that's not confirmed at all.
@@programclu1 i thought that for a second, but checked my facts later, i can see how easy to manipulate i am
how could you make trap out of the mamas and the papas??
"Whatever You Want it to be" by Palisades also used the same sample from Chunk Up The Deuce, and wow I'm realizing so much of what I know uses samples. And the Pendulum song always sounded like nonsense to me.
Daft punks song Voyager found a lot like Michael Graves song called can't wait for the weekend
What's the intro song
Nonbruh HOME - Come Back Down
One day trap is going to die out and we can go back to dank wubs. I look forward to that day.
2:17 sample also used by Mindless Behavior in one of their bigger hits, my sister used to have that shit on repeat.
Tropkillaz omg... That song is dope, by the way
please make a part 3
DJ Manta - Holding On || Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark - Joan of Arc (Maid of Orleans),
Public Domain - Operation Blade || New Order - Confusion [Pump Panel Reconstruction Mix]
Aquagen; Warp Brothers - Phat Bass || New Order - Confusion [Pump Panel Reconstruction Mix]
Casin is Nu disco/funk/house and progressive house !
I love Set Me on Fire :D
2:20 I literally just heard that song the other day. Damn
(all of drum and bass) vs. The Winstons - Amen, Brother
Leafy?
that first one got me
Maybe include Congo Natty - Get Ready. It was built off of another song I don't remember.
How would anyone possibly consider “Casin” as IDM?
daft punk knows how to make an art out of sampling
now do an entire video on burial's sampling lmao. it would take an hour
The Daft Punk original tracks are songs from my dance playlist lmao
damn ive been sleeping on marshmello 🤯
4:12 I don’t think it sampled Get Down Saturday Night cause Whosampled said it did not.
0:40 dankest song
Why'd he start out showing the progression from Redman to DJ Snake only to reverse it for every other example?
Ive got mad respect for Daft Punk sampling ELO
0:43 Disco house, not even close to IDM tho
Wait a sec, how many tracks in album "Discovery" by Daft Punk were remasters of old music ?
9step9 ! Quite a few. If I remember correctly it was meant to be a sort of homage to the songs that they really enjoyed listening too. Absolutely fantastic use of the songs though if I must say.
All of them used samples. That's how they make music.
Why do you think the album is called discovery? The discovery made is "how good music already was back then"
At the end, did you mean to put Something About Us instead of Voyager? If not, Daft Punk definitely also sampled GDSN in Something About Us.
On Daft Punk Voyager, nobody cannot showed me how they used the sample of Get Down Saturday Night
I think they sampled some parts of song and made it a higher pitch and its faster
i'm confused what genre is this? TRAP or Future Bass XD.. 2:00
3:20 Bakermat ?
lol good reason glue70 is the "most replayed" 😂
Turn down for what is the winner of first one
3:22 now theres even another one, bakermat released his baianá in 2019 ^^
I was going to comment it ! 😄
