i cant believe bonfire was secretly a shitpost
Honestly, I couldn't believe Quincy Jones of all people was the one that created this secret shitpost in the first place.
MoistSatan isn't the Quincy Jones' song a recurring theme in the Bourne movies?
Manzoor Mohammed I think you mean Extreme Ways by Moby
No that's the main theme, I mean like the other song that keeps recurring

2:46 Welcome to Non-Stop Radio
🥺
Non-Stop-Pop
First thing I said when I heard it was “Hey that’s in GTA”
YOOOOO
So basically I learned that I like French house
You’re in the same boat as me. The Disko Starz is my jam lol
My favorite genre for sure
mainstream plebeian generic taste.
@@genesisbustamante-durian I don't really see anything wrong with having generic taste.
@@arnav3133 That's unfortunate. There is real music out there, made by real artists that sweat blood. But since you are comfortable with your plebeyian taste, you will never discover it, nor make the effort.
1:49 one of the most simple yet amazing mixes made of all time
3:47 Wow, they just straight-up stole his beat. They didn't even edit it or nothing, they just put vocals on it lol
TheHuskyK9 welcome to the world of modern music
Sad part is, it’s not even good lol
to be fair russia may as well have no copyright laws so it's on brand
*sampled
But I guess it's fine when hundreds of other electronic artists do that and just put a beat over it

Type "no" if this was not helpful for you.
yes

Yes
Also, fun fact: Reaching Out doesn't necessarily sample Out of Touch. They actually brought in Daryl Hall for vocals.
call on me is a similar situation. steve winwood re-recorded the vocals!
A Moose Outlander's Vamp sample Landlord's I Like It (Blow Out Dub)
+Vladimir Putin Stardust : Music Sound Better with you
have been resampled in "Dreams of an absolution" Silver the hedgehog theme hope you edit this.
Not many people know this!!!
+Dubhamlg 777 Sonic was 2006, Stardust was 1998. Stardust could not have sampled Sonic :)
still love "aerodynamic" and "music sounds better with you"
@@FanchusStardust gave the credits to chaka Chan.
Dude I love Daft Punk
Same
@@Fanchus nooo, it's just they are timeless classics. The sample flipping on these amaze me!
Knife Party's 'Bonfire' didn't actually sample that sound, they just recreated the sound in Massive. Rob Swire gave out some of his synths one time which included one called 'Kill Bill'.
Source?
yeah i have that fucking patch lmao, its legit. They kinda spread through the community at that time
its actually a pretty basic synth easy to recreat
Yeah it's just a laser thing
Then it's an interpolation at the least. Recreation is still "sampling".
Russian Trap music? huh, never thought I'd type the words...
What's up my nigga Plagueis
Nuthin much homeslice, chillin like a balla.
hmmm to me just sounds like fucking shit lol
sounds like shit, if you know russian- it sounds twice shittier. Lyrics are just bad.
Screpitum Ralk yeah
3:40 That's not sampling, that's stealing.
itogi no that's trapping over it
It's still stealing, the music itself was not altered.
It's about licencing not adaption. I could release myself farting over a drake song if I could buy the licence.
It's about leasing the beat
RobeehTunes hahah that was great thanks
so we have quincy jones to thank for all those annoying ass trap intros
chio uruakpa mostly just TheFatrat
If you don't like ass trap intros, don't listen to ass trap.
McMxxCiV stop being a fuckin bitch.
@@McMxxCiV yeah
Rob Swire made the sound himself to recreate it so he never sampled it :)) we can still blame Quincy Jones for inspiring him tho😂
A weapon to surpass Metal Gear
vaporwave
pepsi
Askia dank memes
Askia ol' times dude
Boy, vaporwave is getting very experimental.
none of this was vaporwave
Shloop thats the implied "joke"
Shloop that's the fucking joke
Vaporwave is dead
r/wooosh
You gotta love Justice
Call On Me technically isn't a sample as Steve Winwood re-recorded the vocals especially.
I seem to remember a video somewhere on YT that suggested the song was originally done by Thomas Bangalter but didn't gain any momentum.
yep, it was back when thomas was partner to a duo called "together"
Max Actually yes, its is originally from "Together" (DJ Falcon and Thomas Bangalter), they planned to release this song but they didnt because they already released a lot of similar records (such as Together), Prydz was going to make a mix of this song after its release but that did not happen so he gets the rights of the song and make it as his song so he re-made it with the re-recorded vocals from Windwood
Replaying a sample or interpolating it is still a form of sampling
Weird I stumbled across this but Steve winwood is my grandad!! And he did re record the vocals! As I asked him :)
I think the same happened with Gym Tonic by Sinclair
French house and synthe pop are so amazing
Tim Hoy really is nu disco french house is dj's made músic on french
Stardust “Music Sounds Better With You” is the second best electronic music in my list
It was also used in GTA V's radio station, Non-Stop Pop.
Music sounds better with you is an eternal banger and nothing can change that
Man I love Daft Punk
And stardust
Triple H so do I !
The hell a CEO from WWE doing in an electronic sampling songs video. I'll never know.
Kraft Punk
DOLOMITE GET OUT OF HERE!
One thing I love about sampling is that it helps you discover a lot more awesome music.
2:00 Obviously the superior version
I implore people to listen to the songs that were sampled in their entirety
1:20 I have been looking for this music for years!!!!
"Animals" didn't sample from Bustsa Rhymes. Martin Garrix literally showed his whole project file in FL Studio and how he made the song.
So...he ripped it off? :P
I guess he just made (or found) a sound that he liked and used that for his song.
he reversed a clock tick sample
He just used a sound from a sample pack. The sound is pretty standard actually, you can do it with any high-end synth. Not everything is sampled or copied.
@@apanapandottir205 that sound is the most basic ass pluck you could make in any DAW so I really wouldn't consider it as ripping off.
I love this new idea of branching out with your video types. Keep on going, fellow comrade. :D
Jackson Lynch we both have kirby pfps
+What the hecc Justin Aww, I'm taking a pic of you guys.
Eric prydz didnt sample Valerie; there is an original mashup done by DJ Falcon and Thomas Bangalter(of Daft Punk) which sampled it. Eric Prydz actually approached the singer and re-record the vocals
Martin garrix used a sample pack for animals, and that other track used the same one
Alyx Music I find that hilarious
Alyx Music Especially when he pirated FL Studio, and probably pirated the sample pack too and now he's rich af.
hopefully hes paying them now
Lars Nelson He is, the thing is, im not sure he ever would have if people like deadmau5 hadnt called him out on his bullshit.
Im not a massove fan of pirating however I am sympathetic to the people who really cant afford the necessary plugins/samples ect, as long as they pay for them at some point i dont have a massive issue with them.
The other song was produced by the Neptunes, and of course it is theirs. that sound is very characteristic of them
4:01 could be Oliver Helden's "This Groove" aswell
I love these videos, please keep making them!
Man hearing the sample flips is almost orgasmic!
The Prodigy one is a Rave track. Horn Track by Egyptian Empire
I think I like French House the most
The sampling of Animals is actually super impressive. I would have never guessed a sound like that would come out when sped up.
Animals wasn't actually sampled, Martin Garrix created that synth from scratch. It just sounds similar.
Love this so much, thanks for putting in the work!
Just discovered these videos...they're great...I always love finding the sampled songs
Flicker by Porter Robinson is my favorite
Jared Wilson cool
Porter is love, Porter is life
Jared Wilson yeah
my baby
I love it
Daft punk’s whole “Discovery” album where “Aerodynamic” was in this video, is sampled as well. I think they would make a good addition to future videos.
... daft punk has been sampling ever since they first started making music in the 90s. It shouldn't come as a suprise.
chara the fandomist True, looking back it sounds like I tried to make it sound like a bigger deal than it really is. I’ll change it so it doesn’t look clickbaity
i like your content , idk how but good , keep it up vlad
Woa! Nice work Vlad!
3:30 lmao I was looking for that for ages after that one Mafia City ad... and of course it has mafia in the title
Question: is there a website that is an encyclopedia of all of the samples that has either been used in a sample or HAS used samples? Like a Wikipedia® for samples. That would be a great idea.
Justice J. Srisuk there's whosampled
Gives you a nice appreciation of how elaborate or not artists can get in there sampling
I like this kind of videos. No bullshit, just quality content. Thanks !
No one:
Small urban/suburban grocery stores: 2:00
Feels nostalgic but I’m not even old enough for it to
4:53 is that crab rave?
That's the CEO of crab rave festival Inc. having the idea of bringing mass electronic music entertainment to his fellow crustaceans. He was a young crab that just got his diploma and went to an island to celebrate together with two of his school mates. 21 years later after extensive planning and getting the needed money he was ready to visit that very island once again.
The rest is history.
no, unfortunately
I loves these and I love you
thanks Mr. President keep up the good content 👍
for a second part you could include:
Your Girl by Tourist (original sample: If Your Girl Only Knew by Aaliyah) and
Do It For Love by P-Holla (original sample: Bottle It Up by Sara Bareilles)
damn vlad, you just blown my mind. i thought all of them are originals. probs for the research 👏👏 good work
Electronic music and Hip Hop thrive on sampling old tunes. In fact, if it wasn't for the invention of the sampler, most modern music genres wouldn't exist.
David Boucard True
There are exceptions Animals and Call on me
MaliTwat
Boy you simple if you believed that
TS theProducer Whoosh
Absolutely amazing thank you!!!
This is amazing! My first visit to this channel
Some of these sounds are just easily created by synths, the kill bill sound and the lead popcorn sound from Animals can be made with an analog type synth in a few seconds
Justice sampled Three 6 Mafia???? You mean the "Slob on my Knob" guys???? WHAT THE FUCK
more like the guys who changed the entire rap genre not just one meme song
Justice are so good, love them
This is really well done. If you plan on making more of these videos I would love to see the dates of the songs listed as well, just to see the relative times of the original song and the song sampling.
I don't believe the Martin garrix case
"Call on Me" wasn't so much a sample as it was a tribute/cover of "Valerie"
this is amazing, +1 follower
*FINALLY* found a channel that researches these bc by god was o going crazy thinking i reckognized parts before
Oh, and there's a Sub Focus track that samples Vangelis. ;)
0:32 animals = big room house
These are so cool i love to watch these kinds of vids
Thanks for reintroducing that Quincy Jones siren.
Feels like Michael tan and Vladimir Putin are the same person.....
I don't think so. Tan rely heavily on american music. Putin puts here some european music unknown to american audiences.
1:21 Meme spotted
Oh, I love this!
Lmao omg that justice song was too similar 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for this! Awesome! 😁
Eric Prydz never created call on me.
Thomas Banglter created it with Dj Falcon. They never released it as a track until Eric came along and outright stole it.
The only thing original about his track is the 2nd verse which Steve WInwood actually provided vocals for it.
Exactly!!!
Great work with the samples as always, but I really can't stand EDM songs being classified as any genre of house
Good job Vlad!
'sampling' is the wrong term to use for some of these but this video is really satisfying
Add Duck Sauce-NRG , which original is a song from a Spanish speaking group "Las Flans" - Hoy por ti mañana por mi.
4:42 I've heard that horn thing in tunes since the early 90's. Always wanted to know where it originated. Definitely not from any of these tunes.
It's from "Egyptian Empire - The Horn Track" (1990) . Both Prodigy and RL Grime sampled it.
Nice video style, loved it!
Great video!
2:43 gta v
1:43 i know theres a rap song that has this beat sampled.
I think it's Drake. Fancy.
It breaks my heart to know Phantom and Tthhee Ppaarrttyy from Justice were sampled
I THOUGHT THAT RL GRIME SONG SOUND SOUNDED FAMILIAR.
Also good to see electronic music get some legitimate attention.
justice was a nice side project of daft punk. really made their hiatus less hurtful
wut justice is a side project of daftpunk? their music sounds a bit similar, but i never thought that are the same people.
you said it, to familiär. plus they are a dou and notorious for side project. remember music sounds better with you?
yes what a great song. i like french house.
nevertheless, french DJs are superior
intresting
Watch out for the riders sounds like tell your friends about it by the weeknd
he probably sampled it
The justice and 3 6 mafia one was my favourite
Best youtube channel in the world
WhoSampled.com: The CZcams Edition
UGH!! I feel like such an IDIOT! I thought Call On Me was a remix of a Chicago song!
Never realized Animals sampled that Busta track. Mind blown!
Junk Drawer The Busta Rhymes song isn't necessarily sampled, The Neptunes(who produced it) have that sound in a few sample packs. Martin Garrix most likely used one of those
ready for the next list 1
A lot of these aren't actually samples
I consider recreations to still count as samples.
@@Cohemotgus But the word "sample" refers to a piece taken from elsewhere. A recreation doesn't fall under that category, especially from the perspective of a producer.
so what, this creations are great !!!
So "technically" V a p o r w a v e has been around for a while
Endeavor Music why no? Also, why 'just no'? Is there a reason for '...'? I don't understand your reply.
no not really. Vaporwave is more on the aesthetic of old school music. Bringing almost nothing new. While these other genres that sampled from old music actually do sounding into a whole new song
Ulysses Diaz See I feel Vaporwave isn't aesthetics to old school music. To me a lot of them are new songs. Especially when you consider newer Hollywood artists use the same exact beat as an old 80s song, at that point they arnt really trying. Here I feel like Vaporwave doesn't have to try to be a new song. Vaporwave can be a digital canvas that an artist can collaborate old songs and use them like paint to make a new piece of art.
Lmao i get you but Vaporwave is just slower tempo and maybe better drums. If hollywood artists use old songs sure they are being kinda lazy but its a new song. And btw putting old songs together is just a maship. And vaporwave is not a digital canvas Fl Studio and Ambleton are xD. Vaporwave uses those canvas to make a style of music. Lets saaay. ..... Future Funk its actually more complex than vaporwave. (Which both of them really arent) but it brings newer sounds to old school songs. Daft Punk does this and adds to it. Vaporwave does not do much. That is why aesthitics is its strong point
Vaporvare is slow with samples taken from 80s songs. Sampling has been around way before vaporvare and almost all genres use it.
thanks vladimir putin for uploading this. great stuff!
So fascinating
thank you mr. president
So if these electronic songs take samples from existing songs, is that considered "stealing" other people's work with out their permission or "fair use"?
Implying there's a type of fair use when writing/producing songs.
Peppermint leaf
they have to clear the sample
Profit splitting unless the song us royalty free
Sorry to necropost, but there is a legal concept of "transformative" sampling, where the sample is so different from its source that you can't really argue the source still owns it. See Death Grips sampling a tennis match in "System Blower". it's so diverted from the Source that the network couldn't claim its still their footage.
That said, a lot of these songs explicitly DO NOT do that.
Am I the only one seeing this videos just to search for good music?
Stardust is still the fuckin dance floor boss out of all these electro tracks even after all these years.
Kid 106 just used that sample on his last record? "Which sample?" The shake that ass sample! "Oh...i didn't even buy that record"
In terms of creativity in sampling, it's definitely French House that wins.
Noir Noodles I think Bauuer and RL Grime take the cake when it comes to sampling, but French house is also amazing.
Actually no
