This message should be heard by all! People have forgotten the pain Black people had to endure. Life hadn't been no crystal stair for us! We are survivors and we shall live on and be a great ppl!!
Rest In Peace Dr. Cone. I often wandered myself why the church, and theologians were silent during the civil rights movement, angered about it as well, being a minority .And also why black folk stuck it out with Christianity. Dr. Cone really put the ladder question to ease for me, he will be missed. A true soldier of Christ. Dr.MLK as well,Dr.Dyson, Dr West. Great black prophetic voices.
A true soldier of humanity! I assure you his great works have touched the lives of many non-Christian and indeed non-religious people. That is what makes Cone so amazing, his theology must be taken seriously, whether you believe in his God or not. MLK and West both fall into the same category in my mind
He was an unmatched theologian. He helped me see Christianity through the lens of black struggle, oppression, and being delivered and set free by Jesus Christ himself.
Lord have Mercy my father in heaven this speaker Dr.James Cone touch my soul. Doing these time in 2022 .I am truly Blessed and We are a wonderful Blessed Blessed People. Thank you very much for posting this video. During this times as of These. I am a strong believer in myself because of his lesson. Thank God for Dr.James cone. "For making up for lost time ".
How hard we must work to turn our guilt into understanding, willing activity with insight, to meet our God-given assets and humanitarianism, fulfilling our responsibilities of love for one another. Blessed thanks for the continuing support of Dr.s West. Cone, MLK Jr. and the many others for their dedicated work and encouragement through so many difficult years.

And these days the tenure status of our Black professors is at risk... Universities don't seem as willing to grant it, and as with Dr. West it can be lost/denied!
