  • Let's explore the concept of 'kinesphere' from the somatic movement world, and its neuroscientific counterpart, peripersonal space. Here's a recent excerpt from my ongoing collaboration with Ben Korta.
Many times per second, our brains catalogue incoming stimuli -- future/present/past -- within a malleable spatial bubble that influences our sense of self. The boundaries of this bubble modulate the intensity of events, the narrative of body ownership, the distinctions between self and other.
When a person has persistent pain or movement dysfunction, when they experience body dysmorphia or dysautonomia, this kinesphere becomes a crucial space to safely re-inhabit.
In class we explored balancing a pencil and interacting with nearby people, and we discussed the impact of trauma on our perception of personal space.

Hey doc , loved the vibe🙌!
I'm not really sure if it is the best time to ask but, I was wondering if I could help you create a better distribution by working on post-production like better storytelling through Edits, Keywords, think catchy intros and outros, or even some engaging short clips!
Would love to chat if you're interested.
