#simracing #moza #r5 - Hry
Im very impressed by this company, when they started to pop up at the beginning of the year it looked like just some other chinese knockoff of fanatec without proper software or eco system but it looks more and more like they are here to stay. I'm really happy there is some competition in this market now and quite impressed by this wheelbase, bravo moza
moza was known for making camera gimbals so they already gained tons of knowledge about these dd motors
I'm very tempted to splurge for this and skip the 300-400$ segment honestly. It looks like a great bit of kit
Did you end up getting it?
@@NorthWestFPV3 nah i couldn't when I wanted to, I'll get it at some point in the future, i ended up picking up a T248 for €200
@@Calyx I am in same situation, the r5 bundle along with clutch and brake mod costs double the T248. What do you recommend? I think the pedals for both are equally good, but the only difference will be in the ffb and details of it. What do you recommend?
@@danieldey honestly if you have the money and the r5 is available I'd go for that, but the T248 is a great bit of kit, wheel is a little on the small side but all these consumer grade wheels are on the small side. R5 bundle was a sold out pre-order when I wanted to get one, but it's definately higher quality and direct drive is by far a nice upgrade. I can't comment on how good the r5 itself is since I don't have one, but expect better ffb from the DD system. T248 on sale is a great deal however.
@@Calyx Thank you for your reply, I will keep this in mind.
Great content as usual mate. Looks like Moza are really starting to push the envelope. Can’t wait to see what the future holds for them.
Even if I'm not a fan of this brand it's great to see them pushing others like Fanatec to improve, just like Fanatec did with their CSL DD wheelbase. The next few year are going to be great if they keep up the current development "war".
How come you aren't a fan? I'm fairly new to Sim racing, and looking into what gear to buy (Moza or Fanatec) but Moza seem really appealing to me personally!
I prefer to not be a fan of gear manufacturers and try to be objective. That doesn't mean that I don't like Moza and their products.
Couldn't agree more. I have a Simucube, but seeing all of these products that Moza is producing means more people can easily get into sim racing. That is great for everyone.
MOZA have an easy walk in the park thanks to FANATEC’s ridiculous customer service.
Warning!
Within 4 months of light use my FANATEC McLaren wheel cracked at the shifter pivot point and where it mounted to the QR. I was accused of over tightening although I used a torque wrench set at 3nm.
FANATEC then replaced the wheel chassis admitting in writing it was a weakness in the wheel.
Very soon after my CSL load cell pedal failed. I sent a video before sending the pedal set back as requested.
I was required to make a follow up email after not hearing back.
FANATEC said they can not fault the pedals asking if I want then sent back which I found a strange thing to ask?
Eventually they were returned however within minutes I experienced the same issue which was consistent with magnetic interference from the CSL DD wheel base before the load cell pedal would completely shut down.
I was beyond my limits at this point and driven to warn as many potential customers as I could while demanding a replacement.
Following the usual delayed response, FANATEC then offered a replacement only if a show proof that they faulty load cell was again on its way back to them.
FANATEC’s poor response time drove me to desperation.
Keep in mind I have owned this new product for around 6 months when 2 major failures occurred.
An electric technician overheard my experience and offered assistance.
I was able to demonstrate the issue and within minutes the technician diagnosed a defective voltage regulator attached to the load cell circuit board.
The voltage regulator is designed to reduce 5 volts coming from the wheel base or USB down to the required 3.3volts. There was no signal out of the regulator which he replaced.
No thanks to FANATEC I am now enjoying my sim racing again while I hold my breath for the next FANATEC failure.
Please take my advise and look at the FANATEC’s own forum in regards to all the issues they have and their terrible customer service.
I just clicked for pure interest, now i want one of these myself. Great Video. Thx. From what i've seen they released an upgrade to the pedals for 30 bucks or something.
Very impressed. I wasn't familiar with this brand prior to watching the review. Do the Moza's have an "automatic" wheel rotation setting--where a maximum is set in the control panel, but then the game determines the per-car steering ratio? A lack of that feature would be a deal-breaker for me as the sims I use support that with Fanatec and it is an essential. I'm not willing to look-up and fiddle with steering wheel ratios every time I change vehicles and I do want the realistic settings, not a consistent/arbitrary setting.
Love the thumbnail! Nice review, looks like fanatec could be getting some serious competition to the CSL DD/GTDD pro
Haha thanks mate. Thumbnail took me longer than I care to admit. 😂
When Moza released their first Wheelbase I felt like kinda meh and that it's too expensive. But they seem to have understood that issue and try to make a good round palette of products. It's definitely for the better to have some proper competition on the market.
On the shopping list for the future, thanks for the detailed and honest review will, it’s appreciated 👍🏻
I almost pulled the trigger on a fanatec for my first setup. I’m glad I saw this first, looks perfect for me. Thanks.
I pulled the trigger last month, damn I'm feeling like an idiot now!
The biggest selling point for the casual racer is the size of the thing and the clamp - it's so much better and practical than the CSL DD. Feeling a bit frustrated at buying the latter now, I would have definitely gone for a Moza and waited for some brake pedal mods. Shame they didn't quite get first to market at this price point for DDs.
the Fanatecs looked like Monsters ;-) side by side
Send me your csl dd. I'll be glad to enjoy it.😄
@@abuelb ha! Of course, for the right price :)
@@ab8jeh nah. I have one already.
@@abuelb Send me your Moza then ;)
I would have been buyed the base right now if they sold it separately, not as a bundle. Thannks for this great review anyway!❤️
Excellent breakdown. I cant afford the Fanatec's so this is perfect.
The past week I've been studying the Moza R9 looking to buy it, now this is announced, talk about good timing.
same, they always seem to make it harder offering too many choices. Even Apple these days
Go with the r9 if you can. The power is right in the sweet spot. I run my r9 at 100% power and it feels so good.
Great news Will ...I'm about to do some upgrades. My Tracker IR5 arrived. I like it ...no I love it ...lol. I had hardware issues I think using a USB extension ...but all is well & I highly recommend it for flying ...racing may not be the best place for it mind you.
Just ordered a R9, CS wheel and SRP Pedals with Accessory kit. Super excite to see the ecosystem growing so damn fast!
im so tempted to buy this combo, seems like the perfect mid tier system
I have also ordered that combo. Just waiting for the R9 itself, I have the rest including the accessory kit. Cannot wait to get it all hooked up.
How did it go, are you happy with it?
Definitely gonna 3d print a magnetic shifter mod for those shifters. I think the ones compatible with a t300 wheel is useable here since the curvatures and dimensions will be quite similar
send me the files pls thanks
Looking to jump up from the G29 and this bundle is at a great price point for a beginner sim racer and hobby racer.
I just sold my g920 got it for two weeks and got this waiting for it too arrive! Honestly I couldn’t find a cheaper DD wheel + pedals, I’m excited lol
The biggest handicap for Moza is the lack of console support. When I started looking at mid range sim racing equipment Fanatec was the only real option and it still is. Knowing I could get it for my Xbox and then upgrade it as I moved to PC was what sealed the deal. If this kit had official console support I would be recommending it to loads of people.
I should that once I was able to build a gaming PC I upgraded my CSL DD to a DD1 as I was already in the Fanatec eco system.
I think the biggest handicap for you in fairness is using a console to sim race
@@WarrenSheehan yes, really this is uncomfortable bad to always say. Enjoy it on a console or a pc. F it, if anyone can get into it trough a console great. Have fun. I think the biggest handicap is not driving a real race car.
Yes, I feel the same. I was hype for this and then I see it’s not for console. Otherwise I would buy this right if the bat
@@adamalmqvist1789 You can use a Brook Ras1ution converter for MOZA to be compatible on console.
Waiting for my r9 to arrive so excited!!! Made the plunge after Ur reviews.
With Ur chats with moza have they announced making an h pattern shifter ? Or possibly anything in the pipeline ??? Would love to hear if you have any insider details !
on the topic of the CSL DD QR-1 slipping out..
when i first got mine it slipped out after about my first 30 mins of playing. all i did was take it out, release the collar and inspect. put it back together (putting maybe 20lb pressure onto the front of the QR-1 shaft) while tightening the collar and i put the locking bolt in as well. since then i havent taken it off or had the issue over 1000+ hours of use. 👍
Is qr1 the plastic one?
In regards to the smoothness that you commented, how does it compare with the R9 Base? Is it better? The same?
I loveee love love the global shipping option by Moza.
Yes it costs at least an extra 155$ but it least you have that option unlike Fanatec.
I will buy it immediately after it supports PS5.
Hey man love the vids could I ask tho if you don't mind answering....... is this a upgrade from the thrusmaster ts-xw racer I have only had it for 3 weeks but seen alot about direct drive ?
I'm thinking to upgrade this bundle from the t300rs, but I don't know if you've ever used the conic mod t300 pedals. Can you compare which one is better? And do you think it will be a solid upgrade?
Thanks for the video, maybe ill wait a few more months see if fanatec or moza lower prices just a little bit
Bravo Moza. Aside from the brake pedal this is a great deal. Pity about no console support
If they have to have the security chip what they could do is have a breakout box that has the chip inside and a PCB that could recognize which of their wheelbases is plugged into it and the breakout box plugs into the playstation or XBOX. That would make it cheaper and allow people to use any of Mozza's wheelbases on console rather then locking them into a certain base
I don’t think Sony or Microsoft allows for the security chip to be external to the device itself. There are very specific rules, hence why Fanatec’s integration is clumsy with PS compatibility coming from the base and Xbox from the wheel.
@@boostedmedia I've been thinking they could end up releasing "X" and "PS" editions of their wheels with the chip in them. They've definately been teasing something with consoles of recent
Moza console play using the Ras1ution 2 adapter
use 1 or 2 rc car springs and you have a load cell feeling brake. It works great as I use 2 on my csl brake pedal (none load cell) type and its fully adjustable for more or less pressure and provide fast snap back . I also have 1 on my throttle pedal and adjusted to snap back at the same speed were as I lift my foot off the throttle an it helps the car to slow down at the last possible moment entering the curve before I brake which then allows me to gain the speed eariler to quickly out pace other drivers coming out of the curb.
I just hope they give the choice to get the r5 with the loadcell brake. I would 100% get it if that were the case
Why would you get an entry level wheel with those pedals. For a small fraction more you can get the load cell pedals with an R9
@@alexevans5043 small fraction more? R9 with loadcell pedals is twice as expensive
Moza becomes more and More relevant! I really like it! But to be fair, The CSL DD costs 349€, a CSL BMW Wheel 139€ and the CSL Pedals 79€. There is a cheaper alternativley DD Experience and the difference between 5 and 5.5 NM are no matter.
When Moza starts to support consoles, then I would be interested
Totally agree!
I mean the prior Quick-Release is definitely a pro for this set.
But the Fanatec "bundle" is just a bit cheaper, console ready and alrdy a well supported DD for many Sims
599€ without a guaranteed Console support and no option to get above the 5nm, without replacing it completely?
Make it 549€ or maybe even 499€ and they will blow Fanatec out of the water with this Kit!
The Brake definitely needs a improvement!
Only problem is finding the Csl dd 5nm in stock
If you live in the US there are import fees on Moza products, screw those little DD’s get a DD1/2 or a Podium DD
You forgot to add the cost of the fanatec table clamp to your price of fanatec gear. And good Luck with fanatec having the CSL DD wheelbase in stock.
i order r5 and i cant wait, i have t150 pro rn
Wow it's a great bundle. For it to be perfect though, they should do like Fanatec and offer as an option a load cell brake pedal.
I believe they stated on their YT channel that they plan to
It really needs a deluxe bundle load cell brake pedal option for me to let them take my money. I can't get a constant braking feel without it.
They now do load cell option, I've been looking at buying this bundle. The pedal addon costs £40.
@@haziiyama6904 I looked I don't see it myself. All I see is the SRP Lite Brake Pedal Performance Kit which is not a load cell pedal.
Hey Will I'm one of those who's CSL DD pro that came loose while playing. Such an oversight by fanatec imho.
Well, for me it says 639 euro plus 125(!) for shipping and if you add VAT and import fees (assuming they send it directly from China, not a warehouse based in the EU) it doesn't look like a good deal at all.
Wait for it to go to local resellers
Yeah, I got stuck in the same problem with Cammus. After $300 shipping and crazy import tax in Canada, it would have been more than a CSL DD setup.
local resellers is cheaper, 20€ shipping in France
It maybe $100 cheaper for me after shipping for the bundle in USA compared to the 3 equivalent Fanatec parts (and McL wheel), and the CSL DD can have PSU added for $20 aftermarket or so to get 8nm instead of 5nm, so the savings on the Moza is not worth it. But good to see competition for sure!
I bought this bundle with the brake mod and clutch pedal. An upgrade from my Logitech G29, and man what a difference! I wanted to play ACC but with the Logitech I couldn't stay on the track for the life of me. Not feeling what the car is doing at all. Now in comes the Moza R5 and I'm doing laps, then started the career mode and I won two races against the AI! No, it's not super powerful force feedback but for a hobby racer it's way more than enough. The quality is outstanding. What I did since I don't have the room for a full cockpit is bought a wheel stand with a chair holder. Again this makes a big difference to be able to keep your seating position and pedals in a set position so it doesn't move away or move at all. Highly recommend this bundle.
What wheel stand seat combo did you use?
Any idea on when we can expect Console support?
I am looking to get them but if I am more of a console user should I get something else or should I get these for the PC for now and later use them for console once the compatibility is offered?
This will be my next purchase, a good step up from G920. Fanatecs is to expensive
I'm all new to this. Since this is all quick release could you buy the R5 bundle and down the like if you want R9 just swap the motor out? I see R9 wheel base sells separately
Man ive owned this and a ton if uogrades to or it for about a month i git the bundle itself for $424 because of it being open box so the packaging itsrlf was slightly damaged but everything inside was brand new and untouched i added a CS wheel a hgp shifter and both are unbeatable at the process they sell for they punch way above there weight class big time a ebay handbrake with the mounting plate extender and both the clutch and brake mods it's amazing i already have plans to go R9 or R12 with SRP pedals waiting to find a good deal but need to replace my stand first to something more substantial planning on on getting a Next Level WS 2.0 because it's the best stand period and you can upgrade it to a full cockpit later on down the road i am so living my si setup atm and im glad i choose moza over fanatec after buying into e moza eco system you get more for your money with how cheap upgrades are like the CS wheel its fanatec competition is the Clu Sport RS wheel and it cost $100 more than the cs and the fanatec offering that's the same price is no where near as good as the cs and contains allot of plastic bits and the QR sucks a bag by of wieners in comparison to o the one on the cs and you get all metal construction as d forged carbon paddles that feel so so good if your on the fence and don't know if you should get a moza R5 bundle just get one through microcenter no matter what if you don't like it you have 30 days to return it they literally have the BEST return policy you can return it for any reason i bought a th8a thrustmaster shifter because i didn't know they had moza's hgp shifter in the back but not on there floor with the rest of the sim shifters i returned the th8a 2 weeks later when i found out they swapped me out to the hgp and i got to he mounting bracket for the base so i could angle it for the price of the th8a that feels like a child toy compared to the hgp shifter it imo is better than the fanatec shifter in terms of shift quality there only thing the fanatec has over the hgp is sequential mode that i honestly would never use anyway that's what the paddles are for definitely check moza out
I really hope Moza will create a brake *mod* (like the SR-P Accessory Kit) for the SR-P Lite brake pedal too..or maybe better offer a load cell brake pedal kit for this bundle..Too bad the brake does not feel right!
Or at very least sell the brake pedal separately, just like Fanatec with their CSL load cell pedal.
@@mArvAlcao71 yeap it would be nice if moza could sell the r5 base + wheel separately ;) hope they will do it at some time
@boostedMedia at 16:30 What is that radiator cooler set up in the background? Do you have a video explaining the set up for your water cooling in your rig?(s)?
Damn $599 is a steal. This will probably appeal to a lot of people! Also great video as always!

Just waiting for that console support announcement
Brake pedals are so important. Monza have a brake pedal performance kit for these pedals, would love to hear your thoughts on the brake pedal with the performance kit included.
Been using a Logitech G923 for a few years now. Now that direct drive wheels are lower in price I ordered a Moza R5 bundle for $482 including shipping. Which is very nice. I always put off upgrading telling myself that Logitech is fine. Then I tried a direct drive wheel at Micro-center. I spent the next 3 days straight looking up wheels and what I should get. 🤣
The brake is a tad different than throttle and clutch pedals and imo the brake performance kit should be included with the bundle i had to order mine because microcenter doesn't keep them stocked unfortunately
I like how there is more DD bundles on the market at a lower end cost. I’m on console PS5 but dabbled on PC from time to time. If more could come to console that could be a game changer to be honest. More on the market is great for customers. Maybe not so for competitors.
I want the CSL DD Pro but the issues I’ve seen on reddit scare me a bit to be honest. I know more are having a great time but if I’m one of those unfortunate people it will be so soul crushing. I just hope that Fanatec come out with a V2 with more durable parts and pieces. I hope Moza makes Fanatec cut no corners and improve on their products even more.
The biggest thing is that most console racing games are not developed with very good wheel controls/FFB physics. Also, you're talking about a HUGE product development investment to become an officially licensed product from console X/Y/Z. Moza is just dipping its toes into the water; i'm sure there will eventually be an officially licensed console product in the next couple of years after they've established themselves in the sim racing communities.
I just got my Logitech Pro with the Pro Pedals because my CSL DD 8nm, F1 Podium, and CSL V2 have constantly had issues. Even Tiametmarduk (Ben Daly) and Alex Gillon have the same issues that I do, so it's universal. They just randomly disconnect altogether, then all of the settings disappear. I've been having terrible torque spikes and notchiness on F1 22 and ACC. It's just been a bad experience and Fanatec CS sucks in the US.
So, after trying the Logitech Pro setup, I shaved .827ths off my lap after three times around Suzuka. For context, I'm too 1% in all TT leaderboards, but Suzuka is my weak point for some reason. I went from P80 to P27. I can run setups far more on the nose because you're always aware of where the limit is. The braking alone is ridiculous in the amount of time gained. You feel the weight transfer (over a hill, through a dip, left or right corners) and the total weight of the car itself. I can actually tell which tire is overheating just by feeling. It's not perfect, but the Trueforce with the 11nm is PLENTY. I'm 6'8" and 260lbs and I wouldn't go higher than 11nm. It just becomes unrealistic. Not to mention that Logitech will have ongoing support for peripherals, a GT/F1 wheel, and a multiple year warranty (with good Customer Service), I'm literally selling my entire Fanatec setup.
I know it's not common for people to give positive reviews unless there are incentives, but I just genuinely want people to know how great it truly is. If it's too expensive, Moza is a good step, but I'd wait, save up money, and buy the Pro. You feel every bump, the track rubbering in, and you can adjust the pedals/FFB/Trueforce entirely. Hands down the best setup that I've ever used below $2,500, and that's saying something.
i love the look of this bundle, but ive heard there's issues with old titles. i guess i just dont know if i can even go dd if i play mostly older racing titles like the old need for speeds. i want to have a better wheel than my ancient driving force but compatibility seems to be the thing that every company is lacking over logitech and thrustmaster. i just want to have a wheel that will work when i go to play snowrunner, euro truck, nfs, etc and it really seems like my only option is logitech.
Really interested in this, I'm still using a logitech g25 🤣 do they plan on making a h-shifter ant time soon
Ooooooo looks like a nice upgrade from my logitech wonder if they'll let you customize the bunde to add the load cell srp pedals instead in the future
Knowing Moza, I'm sure they will. If nothing else, you should be able to order the R5 wheelbase, wheel, and SR-P pedals individually at some point in the future (which is the way all other Moza Racing products are offered).
@@flyingphoenix113 may Moza hear you!🙏🙏😅
Is the steering wheel from the R5 bundle, compatible with the R9 base?
If Moza did PS5 compatibility I would 100% buy over Fanatec if/when upgrading to DD
But only one fanatec is actually PS compatible and they tax the price of it due to that. Sim racing on a console is a joke anyway, about the only decent option is GT7 which can’t compare to anything on PC
The CSL pedals not compatible with this wheel? Seems that’s the real short coming. Great review great product. Great time to be alive!!
You can use any pedals you like as long as they plug in via USB directly to your PC
What is the Newton metres do? Is it the resistance of the steering wheel?? and do the steering wheels automatically recenter itself like in real life or you manually have to recenter it?
Thanks for the video, much appreciated. How would you say this compares to the G923 wheel/pedal combo for a similar price given the G923 is said to have a progressive brake?
The R5 is miles ahead of the G923. But the pedals aren’t as good as the Logitech ones IMO.
Would you recommend this to an upgrade from a t150. I had a t150 but it broke. Sent it to the store i bought it from but they just gave me money back because people don't repair them anymore. So I've been thinking of buying a csl dd either 5 or 8 nm but they are never in stock. I could get the gtdd but when i can get an entire setup for what that wheelbase cost I think it is better to get this. I would love to hear your opinion on it. Thanks
Does this work with on the playseat challenge
3:50 not vibration... just to not damage desk.
I would be tempted if that was officially supported by consoles too. I play on PC and PS4 Pro. I'm currently using a T300 with T-LCM do the 5nm wouldn't bother me. I don't need three million nm to be able to use a wherl
I’m in the same situation with my pc and xbox sx
I heard that if you can find the cheapest fanatec dd 5.5nm (almost always out of stock), the fanatec bmw wheel and the cheapest 3 pedals from fanatec it would be even cheaper than this moza + xbox support (not sure about ps4/5) because the shipping for this moza is about 100€
Mate this looks really decent, I have been on a g29 for 2 years now and I really want to upgrade to a DD wheel
This is an excellent option.
Does anyone know if the clamp comes with the bundle? Thanks!
I've been on the hunt for a fanatec DD PRO for over a year now and I don't know if its manufacturing issues, absurd amounts of pre-orders or just terrible customer service but they have been OUT OF STOCK FOR OVER A YEAR! I'm at the verge of giving up on fanatec and get the next best thing and to be honest this doesn't look bad at all!
Its not really that hard to check why its out of order..
First of they were the cheapest DD bases on market so nothing special that it was out.
But it will be out till atleast first Q of year 2023. And even then you will have few min or a hour to buy it cuz it will be sold out again.
The main problem is with the electric parts - you can find more info about it on fanatec/forum/blog
btw.. i was waiting for DD PRO for a long time and till today cant get it.
MOZA R5 would be sold out in days if not that you can buy it only in bundle.
Thanks for great vid mate. Looking to buy this is a first rig. Have seen brake updates also. Will order these now. Happy new year!
Hope that acelith will soon release a formula rim for this
I’m sure they will do an amazing job. Their stuff looks awesome.
And here we are and Logitech is launching a DD wheel now it’s probably what I’ll get when it launches I got a g29 it’s been a trooper can’t wait for the new pedals
Would you be able to use a thrustmaster set of load cell pedals with this wheel base or are they not interchangeable?
The T-LCM should be compatible as a separate input via USB
If you get this bundle would you be able to upgrade to the r9? are the wheel and pedals compatible with the r9?
Need that brake mod that Moza put out.
Thrustmaster T3PA pedal comparison to these? Have this bundle in cart but im trigger shy. i ONLY drift by the way.
For the price is this one worth it I been looking at thrust master what would be a better option.
I don't see that Moza sells a shifter. Any idea what shifter would be compatible with the R5 or even R9?
I was gonna get a csl dd, but I just purchased this instead. Got the brake pedal upgrade kit coming as well, will update this to tell you if that makes a substantial difference
Have you received it yet? I’m in the same situation let me know how it is
@@sogeking6680 Even with the upgrade kit, the brake pedal isn't the best. But honestly, for the price, I'm very happy with this stuff. If you can afford better pedals, I'd recommend it though
Is it true you can use some fanatec wheels with this Wheelbase?
Will it ship to the uk sith a uk plug
Why is there rust on the Allen key bolts? Did it come like that
How did you get the RPM meter working? Mine doesn't work with any game. It's enabled in the moza app..
Does this wheelbase work with the PC version of ForaHorizon 5?
What is the best VR Wheel Stand that is compatible with Vive Pro?
sure wish Moza still supported your discount code!
Comes in at £650+ delivery. Fanatec is £850 + delivery. Decent saving. I own 3 DD bases. I personally think you're better off with splashing out on a simucube sport. I use the pro version.
Well the thing is brands like Moza or Simagic sell their products thru distributors around the world, so the delivery cost could be cheaper.
And don't get me wrong, Simucube are great, but not everyone can afford to buy their products.
hello, what about clipping at higher ffb´s (80% and higher)?
I want to upgrade my Logitech g920 to the moza r5 can I temporarily use the g920 shifter while I save for a new shifter
What does it mean infinite rotation ? I do see the video show max setting is 2,000 degree. Is it possible to set more then 2,000 ?
Your coupon doesn't work - and does this use the american power supply or do i have to buy an adapter?
Hey bro, thx for your always amazing helpfull videos! You litteraly guide me through all the racing set ups and help me make the best choice 💙
I still have some questions and I hope you could help out because this bundle seems to be the right one for me, only the pedals seem not good.
Is it maybe an option to just use the CSL pedals CL? Or even just the Load cell brake pedal kit and replace the bad brake pedal?
Also when you want to buy this Monza bundle, there is an option to buy a €31 SR-P Lite Brake Pedal performance kit. Is that worth it? Makes it it as good as load cell brake pedals or what to compare with...?
I hope you could help or someone else. I'm probably one of the thousand guys askinh you questions. But still a big thanks in advance bro! Keep up the good work! 💪🏻👊🏻
you say this is he same size as the G29 but that is a 10.2" wheel and this is listed as 11. is it not slightly bigger?
Thrustmaster needs to get their offering on the market NOW! This is literally the best value there has ever been for a direct drive wheel kit in sim racing. Moza just hit the market and already have multiple DD models? Come on Thrustmaster!!!
Logitech are going to clean up in this space, even at a higher price with their new DD Pro. If they choose to do a lower-end DD, the whole industry is going to be tossed on its head.
Thrustmaster has announced its strong desire for suicide, by presenting the t128 ...
Hi do u have to use the complete moza ecosystem with the r9 or can I still use my tm load cell pedals was looking getting the r9 wheel base and moza gs wheel but using my tm pedals to keep within my budget
Cheers
As Moza products are only compatible with PC you can use any pedals with Moza's base as long as it's directly connected to PC via USB
Makes me wish I didn't get the T300 rs gt a few years ago, would have bought this if it was available then
First of all thanks for this great Video but I have three questions. The first one is, is it possible to connect any loadcell pedals from other brands? And the second question is, if it is possible to connect H-gear shifters? Last but not least, I think i can answer it myself but can you connect wheels that are not published by MOZA, but like fanatec or Thrustmaster?
You can use any pedals or shifter you like as long as they connect via usb. You can use any wheel you like as long as you have a compatible hub and the wheel connects to the Pc directly.
I'm currently looking at this wheel and with this review I think this will be perfect for me. I've used the G29 and whilst good, I'm not a fan of feeling the cogs as I'm turning and want something much smoother and as I'm just getting in to sim racing I don't really need anything too expensive (yet)
Moza offers a brake pedal upgrade kit now to add the pressure feedback.
what do you think of this as an upgrade for a T300? i know the tourqe is comparable, but smoother feedack and better build quality should make the difference, no? I also like Moza's rims more.
bring me back if someone reply to this please
@@Ali.Yousif lol .... 10 nm is the right compromise .
he says it himself, in the video.
For a beginner who has never played, the r5 is perfect....T300 is too close
@@THESHADOW97139 I would say it depends. A friend of mine went from T300 to MOZA R5 recently and he has been loving it.
@@Ali.Yousif Good to know
The only thing I can see that I would change is the wheel shape. I don't get why all these wheel manufacturers create D-shaped wheels on budget setups. If you're buying this the setup this wheel will most likely be your only wheel for a long time and a round wheel would just be way more versatile. Logitech already screwed this up going from the G27 to the newer ones and here we go again.
@@Luftrille Oh cool, I have not seen that. Mind sharing the source?
@@Luftrille Wait that's the source for a new wheel coming out? Them saying R5 wheels won't be compatible with the R9?
I was curious because I've not seen anything new on their Twitter but still, an open wheel still won't fix the R5 wheel not being round. My point stands.
@@Luftrille Oh sorry, might be that links aren't allowed or something I saw the post. Looks pretty cool, pretty much the same wheel but open wheel style.
Still not round though ;)
Does Moza ship products worldwide?
Why the fanatec dd 5.5 is always out of stock?
what sucks is there is only 2 wheels that work with this. ( plus a hub adapter for plain wheels) well that and no PS support.
edit: well it looks like they are updating their linup to support the new standard. great news.
I had the Stem come out of CSL DD PRO, was Upset till I saw how easy it was to fix. But is a Pretty dumb issue!
I'm desperate for someone to test the other wheels Moza offers with this base, was very much hoping you guys would cover that! The difference in connector layout on the hub is what concerns me. Anyone know if the GS wheel is compatible with the R5?
Edit: Saw on the official reveal premiere they did on CZcams that one of their mods was able to use every Moza rim with the R5 base. The compatibility section on the website doesn't seem to have been updated yet!
This was covered in the video. Only the ES and FSR wheels are compatible
@@boostedmedia Oh I guess I completely missed that, sorry! Weird that I've seen people saying all their Moza rims worked with the base.
@@RyokoVT a bit late but it’s good to point out that there are new v2 rims which are compatible with all their wheelbases
Looking to replace my t500rs, is this a good option? Not sure if i should save up more for the r9.
For me atm the t500rs is powerfull enough just want make sure its enough of an upgrade?
T500 is around 6Nm, so if you want more power, go to Moza R9 or Simagic Alpha Mini (10Nm)
But Moza R5 are good enough
Can u use this with of and ps5
i have a question, ive never really had a wheel and pedals before and im looking into getting the moza R5 bundle but since i do not have a lot of space for a rig im wondering would the pedals stay in place while driving if i just put them on a wooden floor or should i look into getting some kind of a rig to mount them on?
They should be fine on the floor.
