Reminder that Court of Embereth plus an 8 power Obeka and being the monarch is an instant win : 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 + 6 +7 + 8 + 9 = 44 DMG to each opponent
I so desperately wish this deck had green identity for this very reason xD
Depending on how late in the game you get this online, you could need less power to end the game
My pod is really into the combat step, so our life totals can get low kinda fast
@@JustASpider980 True, I did the math assuming the worst case witch is a control/stax pod, but in combat pods its even easier

I would include more protection in this deck. The last game knights episode showed that obeka suffers immensely when she gets removed. So we need to protect her as much as we can. If she gets removed our trigger on upkeep cards are probably not enough to get us the win.
Ladies and gentlemen this is the deck to become enemy number 1 at your table.
There's no initial worry about losing the monarchy if you swing with obeka the turn you cast a court ;) since as they enter we get the monarchy, our extra upkeep will already be in full swing. Yeeeehaw
After playing my version of the deck, I never need to cast my opponent's stuff, flooding my entire deck with jank initiative cards is excellent, as I rarely am not happy when I have access to it. Rilsa Rael is my strongest card. +5 to power, plus initiative plus deathtouch is amazing.
I see you put Ring of Valkas in there but I would recommend putting Ring of Evos Isle and Ring of Xathrid in as well. Those three rings synergize like crazy with Obeka being Grixis.

Me having made a Ninth Doctor deck for a hot while now knowing full well how broke the Courts get with even 3 upkeeps... I did not! Oh Hi Obeka ;P LOL
O-Naginata is a bit risky to put in the deck because Obeka's base power is 2. Obeka will have to get buffed before O-Naginata can be equipped to her.

I mean he has a decent amount of ways to buff her and other creatures in the deck thay could use that equipment so idk if it really needs to go.

Blade of Selves plus Mirror Box is insane for Obeka.
Estrid's Invocation is a great copy enchantment at the beginning of the upkeep. I use it in Tommy B to keep my bustes sagas around longer.
But I do love this deck list. It looks fun, but also setting yourself up to be the target lol
Love how everyone acts like obeka is the only commander that does this. In my opinion, ninth doctor does this as well, if not better.
Obeka wants pump effects and evasion
Ninth wants clones/trigger doublers and tap effects.
Ninth typically gives more reliable payoff imo.

dont forget about aggravated assault and and braid of fire for infinite combat steps and upkeeps.
But how do you keep the mana from Braid? It vanishs after the upkeep and you can activate aggravated assault only as sorcery.

@@brandtfees2625 ahhhhhh thanks. I think all three cards are good in this deck. Even if the combo is incomplete. The fact you can cast your opponents cards with some of the creatures, the extra mana lets you cast their instants.
