Poor Rowan wasn't even wearing his noise canceling headphones this time. =)
Damn that would've actually been a pretty good idea if he just put his noise canceling headphones just to say that lmfao
And he hasn't practiced his whispering.
I surprised he managed to remember how to walk
@@jamesfoskey2804 well he is the manager.
Hahaha hahahaha good one
Wow, this pretty much captures my entire thought process. Unfortunately, the results aren't quite the same when I open my mouth.
I was literally thinking the same thing
These results exactly match my experiences. Unfortunately, it's Rowan's thought process that I'm matching when I open my mouth.
There should be a disclaimer on the brain saying "your mileage may vary"
I find that when opening my mouth the best way to avoid sounding stupid is to insert my foot.
@@TheDungeonMinister that's me when I talk to women
I always ask myself the real questions, like "Am I even good enough to have imposter syndrome?"
reading all these great comments while I am thinking: how did they even come with these comments? they are true fans, and handsome, and pretty, and smart, I'll never be as much of a fan as them, these guys are awesome.

Rowan didnt really understand what they said he was just scared of being a real boss
Yeah I feel like they could have just used a bunch of business jargon and it would have been enough.
Yet, perfect as ever.😀

Rowan literally speaking his mind really caught me off guard
He should have put on those noise cancelling headphones
No way, that's classic Rowan.
This is me when ever I over hear someones conversations!
It got me, too. I'm ashamed because it IS classic Rowan and I should have expected it.
I was honestly trying to think of how they would bring this back to a joke, cause all I had was a growing anxiety. Than Rowan spoke and I burst out laughing.
Surprisingly wholesome...
It took me 30 years to realize this is how everyone goes through life. :(
not everyone
Not everyone. I know I'm not an imposter. My job can probably be done by a monkey. I'm an overpaid data entry guy.
It baffles me that not everyone has the inner thinking voice, I have it and in the bathroom I am a golden voice, in bed I am a stud, in public I am a star and at work I can swear at everyone I don't like and no one cares hahaha.
well... as Loop said above, not everyone
I dont, im freaking awesome
As teenager you'd think once you've grown to become an adult, all these insecurities and the desultoriness you feel when being put into a situation like this would be gone, but no. It never goes away.
When you grow older you start having terms for it
Your lack of self confidence is disturbing...
it does
Actually you just stop caring as much. You realize everyone is an idiot, including you, and we are all just bumbling through life.
The interesting one is when you get old enough to know your parents are just idiots who don't anything, same as you and everybody else lol.
Don't know why Ellie was worried. If she weren't a valued employee, she wouldn't be making $140-something an hour
That a lot of value
I hope there is an episode down the road about the company going bankrupt and she saves the day as the primary shareholder lol.
What? I'm making140 per hour. But in a lot lot Lot weaker currency, damn.
She’s getting $189.50/hr I just watched the pay cut episode
Yeah, I thought it was 190/hr?
I love that Alan still hoped Rowan wouldnt call him to speak, as if there's a chance he can be exempt. 😆 oh wait, I also did that in school. XD
We all did bro xD
I still do this, lol.
This is all of our lives 😅
Same here lmao
When I was in school I had a teacher call us one by one to do speeches. She went through the whole list and then at the end forgot to call my name! She started to do normal lessons again and I had to interrupt her to tell her she missed me. So embarrasing!
This was me as a research technician talking to my PI. It took getting through most of my PhD to finally realize no one knows anything.
This was surprisingly helpful. My inner voice sounds like this all the time. The thought that others are the same is somehow comforting.
My internal dialogue sounds very familiar, but is also typically singing a song from 30+ years ago I haven't heard in a long time on a loop. Sometimes it pauses long enough to have a made-up argument about an event that hasn't happened.
Why must you attack me with your comment about how my brain functions

I thought all that ended when he made "tea".
Still? Was this a thing in previous videos?
Wait a minute was Rowan actually acting normally this time?
This must be one of the most relatable bored videos they've ever done, VLDL continues to outsmart itself. Congrats from Brazil!!
I cant express how much i relate to this, being in a meeting feeling so clueless and useless yet when asked i just go for it and nail it. Amazing. I never thought a lot of people feel like this but turns out they actually do.
Almost everyone feels like this!
not to mention not caring wtf the boss is on about
Worse part is when they like your idea so much they ask you to take charge of it. Suddenly you have this added responsibility that you have no clue about what to do and how to start.
@@VivaLaDirtLeague Not me. I'm perfect in every way. I always know what to say and always nail everything I do. I'm so amazing.
@@VivaLaDirtLeague I would say the imposter syndrome works then. If your team operates like this and end up with such amazing content then hell yeah!!

-"OK, but there must be someone who actually does know what is going on...?"
-"No. No one actually knows."

wow wow wow wow
When your in a meeting all pretending to understand whoever is expert in the room...when you realise....youre the expert in the room!
I work as a programmer and you have no idea how true that comment is haha
This is literally life
Honestly, the biggest surprise of this to me is that Rowan told Alan he had a really good idea.
thats before he learned he could speak and think in his head
This captures so well what I learned a few years ago. That everyone is just trying to figure things out and hoping they get it right. Very awesome!
@today was a good day should I make a bot to answer these bots for. me? Also fuck these bots.

@@jamestorrence9340 People who think they know what they are doing probably has no idea what they are doing. It's weird seeing Adam not breaking down and crying in this meeting.
Btw Hydro series has just came in, you have to bring that in and shelve it asap thank you.
Yes I’m sorry I’ll stock that right now 🥺
He didn't imagine crapping himself either
This should totally be a PSA - More people need to know their workmates are just as anxiety riddled and filled with doubt as they are.
I like that Rowan is somewhat of selfaware, which proves he is a Rowan out of spite, not because he has only 2 and a half of working braincells ;p
Maybe that's why he became more dickish. He had to keep up appearances
Rowan forgot to mute his brainophone on a live meeting :D
Yeh was bit confused if he actually said that out loud or not
Should've used the Noise Cancelling Headphone
I enjoy that they give Adam compliments. He seems to be the punching bag in other sketches.
I have this fear from a very young age, and just a few years ago found out what it was. And I love you guys for making this. I saw the title on my feed and I was like, "OMG, did they just do this?". I had a big smile on my face all the way through the video. You guys nailed every bit of the thought process I am going through. And how I keep fearing till the very last moment, when my survival instincts kick in and I end up actually doing just fine :) Thank you for this!
This meeting at work hits home in the heart. The pressure on being ask what you could do to improve the company is so real. You never know sometimes if you're doing a good job telling a good idea when someone tells you otherwise but that's what I think. But the video none the less was entertaining! This was great, and I totally relate! Imposter syndrome is no joke, I've turned down job offers because of it, all because my own insecurities wouldnt allow me to think of myself as being the right person for the job and feeling like I "stole" the job from someone more deserving. That shit is hard to overcome.
This is literally every accounting meeting I’ve ever been in, and I’ve been in accounting for almost a decade!
I love that they keep having Rowan voicing his internal thoughts like with the noise cancelling headphones.
those things really gave him a weird habit
Meanwhile: Byron listening to them via the intercom that Rowan didn't realize he turned on, thinking to himself that he's got tons of genius ideas to turn the company around, like not spending $100 in shipping for a $20 USB stick. And Ben eavesdropping from the hallway thinking that they could improve by not abandoning the store front while customers are trying to purchase $3000 gaming laptops... then realizing no one is watching the shop and just walking out with a $3k gaming laptop!
While Hamish is still waiting for his pre-ordered pc... And got into a huge argument with the thief that came to steal mac-book air cause he needed it for gaming... And at the end, all of them are just surfing reddit😂😂
@@anirbanroy5667 🤣🤣yes! Love that Reddit touch!

Ben checks in the back of the store in the workshop and finds a few of them just sitting there. Brings the gaming laptop back to Hamish and gives it to him. Hamish is almost to the door when he mutters ooh they accidentally gave me the more expensive one!

This series is amazing. Not only can you be funny, but you have a keen insight into actual mental struggles that a lot of people simply can't even put to words, much less find a way to make it both relatable and funny.
You are the best comedy troupe on CZcams, hands down.
I love this little skit, everyone has awesome ideas that the other did not think of. I also enjoy how you can hear them thinking about the situation and at the end the manager speaks aloud his thoughts which seems intended. Hopefully, he could not hear the thoughts of his team

i do like that not every one has a internal monologue, because i know so people don't
This one spoke to me. Inner anxieties fighting your inner confidence. Good job putting that out there, Viva.
By far the most relatable skit. I feel like this every time we have a meeting at work…and somehow I come out alive
Luckily, you go last. You use the time to work out an idea to present, but the person who goes right before you presents the same idea.
Sometimes I genuinely feel like the only impostor in a world of professionals. It's hard to live up to that

@@MONALISA-ce2is you should really stop
Rowan actually intentionally said that all out to keep down the tension of the room. What a good manager, i bet he loves his employees and gives them all equal love with big paychecks.
Actually a great video - and especially for me on a day when I’ve really be struggling with anxiety and depression.
A funny twist on the twist is that one of my great fears is saying my panic out loud!
Rowan almost nailed it but in the end he pulled a Rowan on us

kind'a nice to know it's not just me feeling like a fraud.
Being a fraud is a skill in itself lol. Never let some stupid job posting tell you what you can and can't do.
this is how my thought process usually sounds, but when i actually say something in the end it isn't always as successful as i hoped it to be. amazing video really funny love ur content, keep it going!
Thanks so much guys! I really needed this reminder today. This hit right in the feels in a different way than usual.
I was genuinely expecting Rowans inner monologue to just be the Spanish Flea on loop, showing that he'd not been listening at all the entire time 😅
Sadly, Rowan doesn't have an internal monologue
Perhaps an unintended message... What I got from this is the fact that most of us undervalue ourselves and our ideas, when in reality we are capable and thoughtful. All of the ideas presented were awesome! NEVER let the little voice in your head DEFEAT you.

Touché... very accurate, especially when you are tired and/or having a bad day, overthinking is really the worst.
Great vid!
Whoever came up with the idea of rowan speaking is pretty much a genius
That’s basic Rowan
It’s like when in high school/college and the teacher asks a question and your brain starts spinning. This was great to watch.🍻
I can so relate :)
I genuinelly appreciate that you made this video.
This is a actually a brilliant representation of imposter syndrome and anxiety. F***ing love you guys.
I think most people have imposter syndrome today because the modern world requires that we lie and pretend to know whats going on to impress fellow workers. People end up saying things they dont understand and relying on those things for their survival. Worrying that all might come crumbling apart is perfectly normal. It's not really a mental syndrome but a normal reaction to the lives we live now, of imposters
Wait... did Rowan just say that out loud? Lol
I was expecting Rowan to say "Wow I'm such a great manager, quite possibly the best manager in the entire universe, no one deserves this job more than me", but honestly I like what he actually said better because in a way I think everyone realized they weren't the only ones that felt that way after that.
I've very rarely had imposter syndrome but the few times I did was when I was in my mid 20s in front of 6 guys in their 50s all of whom wanted to hear my ideas on how to improve the department I was promoted to lead. Obviously they felt I was qualified but sitting there feeling like I have no idea how to run a full department I was REALLY worried. After my presentation seeing them all nodding in agreement saying "yes, yes that would work" made me feel 100x better. A year later and I'd walk into that same monthly meeting and lay down the banter with them. I still thank my success today to that uplift I got at that time. Sometimes feeling a bit of imposter syndrome means you're progressing well.
I hope Rowan does more 'owning up' like that, but with more gusto... and with his new noise cancelling headphones :D
The camera resolution really evolved.
Rowan wore his noise cancelling headphones for so long, he completely forgot that everyone can hear him without them
No one mentioned how hard it must have been for Rowan to play that! Saying this stuff with a straight face?! Amazing!
Oh man the bored was really getting missed out....love this masterpiece
Rowan wasn't wearing his headphones when he thought out loud. Alan, Ellie, and Adam definitely heard that 😱
the print in that window really had me at a loss for good part of the video. it looked like they were in a huge techno-like futuristic metropolis
My life is no more good as it was before. I'm trying to go through a really bad moment, but it is so difficult. I have to thank you guys because when i see your videos you makes me smile everytime. Thanks for these little moments of fun. Hope to see more videos. A "Bored Movie" would be great!
If I may quote SAO abridged by SWE,
"Turns out, he was just as big a fuckup as the rest of us"
“I don’t deserve this job”
Me: “None of you deserve this job!! Get fired as soon as possible!!!”
(Not from viva la dirt league of course, you all are awesome)
I think Rowan forgot his noise cancelling headphones.
Well happens to the best of us, as he just kindly demonstrated.
Team meetings are always stressful.
If every business had people as "stupid" and "worthless" as this, every corner store would bring in billions
A funny video while also capturing the same thoughts and feelings most people find themselves in every day. Bit of a morale booster really. Well done 😊
watching this video made me think "god how did this channel never miss?" they have great humor, great content, and smart. They are too good at this. I'll never be as good as them.
Ellie is doing it literally the best way. She never works and only shows up for meetings.
This is surprisingly wholesome the way they all thought each other was better
Im so relieve that everyone actually has the same thought process as me
Rowan should have the best most egocentric voice in his head. He is clearly just faking his accidental think out loud to make his employees feel better.
This episode could alternatively be called "Anxiety"
Rowan forgot to turn on his noise canceling
Those noise cancelling headphones are so comfortable Rowan thinks he's still wearing them.
That's what I basically do at my company meetings, say simple things using big words to make it longer and seem more important. Here's a tip use big words like, "leverage", "KPI's" and "customer success".
I walked into an interview a year ago with a "fake it till I make it" mentality. Somehow a year later in still at the same place.
This is so spot on I could cry.
The best part is that Adam's advice is literally just "sell things people want"
Yeah well sadly it became quite rare for many companies,so it might be actually quite rare idea.
The takeaway is no one is usually sure of what they're doing, so improv your way through life
this skit was so gooD, glad ur content got recommended again!
