if you'll believe me, it's a real thing, some people can't hear OR see in their heads at all. They can't think with language as a result. Must make it real hard to plan your day! They live their entire lives assuming all references to these common actions are whimsical turns of phrase. It's kinda sad and a bit amazing, really, and whenever this gets brought up you'll always have some old-fashioned memers pretending that the normal people are crazy lol
